I am always happy to read Karen’s title. I love this world and look forward to her next outing. My 80 year old mother is also addicted. Keep them coming...

This book was not what i tought it would be, first, i love tales with dragons, and i expected Something adventurous, some type of quest that would catch my attention ..a page turner, but i did not enjoy the writing style and i tought that the pace was a bit slow for my liking

Terrible book. I know this is a prequel to an already released series, but it's so tiring to read. There is just so much killing and dramatic negativity; hundreds pages of doomsday events. Just depressing and not worth the read. If you're going to write a prequel, it should still be a story in its own right with the highs and lows, and with character development. Not this downward spiral of ever more dramatic scenes that encompass all the crimes one could possibly imagine.
And one more thing, if you're going to put a dragon on the cover and in the title, don't pull a George R R Martin and give them the most minimal appearances with no characterization. Talk about a disappointment.

I tried reading this book but I don't think that it is for me. It seemed to quickly get into action without much explanation. There seemed to be so much action but not enough character depth. It was confusing that one minute it seemed to be following a dragon and the next a man. Being a prequel, I feel that it would make more sense to read the first book in the series and then this one.

A Bond of Destiny and Dragons is a prequel to the YA fantasy series The Goddess and the Guardians. There are three books in the series so far. This book has a little bit of everything....warrior fae, fire-breathing dragons, gods and goddesses, shape-shifters, wizards, plus greed, betrayal, power struggle....definitely action packed!

This is the first book in the series I've read. I found it well-written and interesting. The action and battle sequences definitely kept my attention! Nothing like deadly magic and angry dragons to liven up a fantasy story! There is definitely a lot of world building and character development in this prequel to the series. Although it is setting the stage for the main series, it works well as a stand-alone story as well. And it's definitely a good place to start reading the YA series.

There is a lot going on in this story. Many warring factions, intrigue, and a complex fantasy world. So much in one book often becomes cumbersome and confusing, but Tomlinson pulls it off with style. The story kept my interest from beginning to end.

I enjoyed this story and have added the series to my tbr list. I'm looking forward to reading more about this magical world!
