JoAnn Simon takes you on an emotional rollercoaster ride. This is a story about love in the purest form. Her relationship good and bad is one that you may see in a movie and think that's not real. Reading her story gives me hope that my relationship could be this deep and strong.

Thank you Netgalley and Jo Ann Simon for allowing me to read this book. I highly recommend it.

This book really makes you stop and think about how you’re living your life. You reevaluate if you are living life as fully as you want, realizing it can be taken from you at any time. This memoir is the story of JoAnn and Tom and their remarkable love for each other. Tom develops ALS and JoAnn becomes his staunch advocate through all the struggles with his medical issues. JoAnn writes about their relationship from when they first meet until Tom’s death. It is a well told story touching on so many issues surrounding such a horrible and fatal disease. A memoir well worth reading!

A beautiful memoir by Jo Ann Simon, recounting her life with her beloved husband, Tom, known as "TK." Their fairy tale romance ends abruptly when Tom is stricken with Lyme Disease and ALS from a tick bite. The universe may have tilted against them, but their love is strong and enduring. The scenes between husband and wife capture the heartbreak of illness, but the strength, hope and optimism of the author. Highly recommend. This is a beautifully written book, lyrical in its description of love and resilience. Highly recommend.

My heart hurt for JoAnn as I read her story of loss. I could identify with so many of her thoughts/feelings. I think it's really difficult to rate someone else's life story. However, I did find that the story jumped around in time a bit, making it a bit hard to follow.

One of the best books that I have read in a long time! Jo Ann Simon really made me look at my own life through a different lens. I have recently gotten into the genre of memoirs (I was always slightly scared to delve into them for one reason or another) and am extremely happy that I had the opportunity to read this one. I can only image what Jo Ann Simon has been through but she writes about it with such ease and elegance. I highly recommend.

This book was so personal. It let me into their lives. It was interesting from a nursing perspective, as well as a relationship perspective. I truly enjoyed the entire book and was so sad when it was over. The writing was colorful and I was hooked into the story right away. I highly recommend this book.
