I liked this slow burn story. It has a entertaining storyline that provides a solid backbone for this love/hate romance. Elle and Jonah are great characters that are nicely developed. With drama and suspense this was a quite enjoyable read.

This book was Soo good. I loved the tension Jonah and Elle had in the beginning. That always makes for a good Romance and this book did not disappoint. I also really enjoyed the side romance in this book also. Don't want to mention names without giving spoilers. I highly recommend this book for anyone who likes a good old fashioned Romance novel. It's not super long or drawn out. It's a straight forward nice story. It definitely has it's twists where I didn't see some things coming which I absolutely loved!!!!! Go buy this book!!! You won't regret it!

Overall I enjoyed this quick read, Jonah was pretty sweet, well, after he warms up to Elle and he was able to be himself around her and drop the act. Elle’s life with her mother is so out of the norm that it’s a bit scary. Because of her upbringing and now the trauma of her kidnapping, Elle is pretty prickly around new people. She was a bit wishy washy when it came to how she felt/acted with Jonah. One minute she hated him and was being a bratty drama queen (the restaurant scene, smh) and then she’d be lusting after him and offering up her V card. She was a bit confusing with all the mixed signals she was throwing around. I don’t agree with her decision to up and just leave for three months towards the end. It seemed abrupt and just odd . . . The mystery of her kidnapper was a creepy good surprise though, I did not see that coming!

I had so much fun reading this book. I loved the plot and the characters as I found myself slowly falling in love with book. I also really enjoyed the writing style and really want to read more for this author.

Guarded desire is the first in a new series that has Jonah Sutton called in to be Elle Wilcox's body guard. After a kidnapping her life is turned upside more so that it ever has been. That man is still on the loose and is still after her. She isnt quite secure enough as she was before and the hot and sexy body guard her mom has hired makes things different. She doesnt trust easy and then that's without the interference from her mother and her team.

Jonah is to pose as a boyfriend and stay close to Elle. However has the case goes forward lines blur and he sees a side of Elle no one knows. There is more to the famous Vivanna's daughter. It was a decent read a d cant wait for more. Hopefully Trace and Dillions story.

Elle (her name is Illumination, but you can guess why she chose Elle) has been kidnapped and let go, but now lives in fright. Her famous mother hires a bodyguard, Jonah, but at first Elle thinks he is just one of her mother's boy toys. She has been removing herself from her mother's limelight ever since she was ten years old.

Enjoyable romantic suspense. I didn't guess who the bad guy/woman was until near the very end. So well done. I sometimes was a bit annoyed with the main characters and thought they acted a bit young. But overall great read with a hot bodyguard! I must admit this is not my usual genre, but Christi Snow made it worth my while.

I tought this novel was okay , but i disliked jonas’s toughts , because i disliked him, i had trouble finishing this book.

Guarded Desire is the first book in a brand new series by Christi Snow. This is a first book by Snow for me and I must say I enjoyed it. The words were written perfectly and I honestly binged straight through it. I loved Elle and Jonah. Dillon and Trace as well. I thoroughly enjoyed some shock factors in the book as well as all the hot sex scenes. This book definitely left me wanting more of this series.

I enjoyed this story for the most part. It moved at a very steady pace and kept me interested. I didn't figure out who the bad guy was until it was revealed. The plotline had a few minor holes in it, but nothing too distracting. The characters weren't very consistent with their thinking/actions, and it left my head spinning a few times. They would be thinking one thing in a scene, and then the next scene, they'd act in complete opposition to what they were just thinking. I know people do that to some extent, but this felt very random and happened several times, to the point that it actually was distracting. Also distracting were the grammatical errors; I read an ARC, so hopefully a final proofread is yet to come. Overall, the storyline was interesting enough that I would likely give the next one in the series a try and hope that the character development is a little more consistent. The suspense part of the story is very well done.

I loved this book. Elle (Illumination) this is the names she goes by and I personally do not blame her since her name is ridiculous. This poor girl has had a pretty bad upbringing even though her mother is a wordclass famous person, and her father is extremely rich and very known. Elle was kidnapped and they never caught the person, so her mother hires her bodyguard, Jonah and he is gorgeous but Elle assumes he is another one of her mothers boytoys since she is used to them and their meeting does not go as planned. They are instantly attracted but neither wants to get into that with each other, he is on a job and she doesn't really trust people and with good reason. I wont give you more so that when this book comes out you should definitely have a copy..Can't wait for next book. Enjoy!

This book was well written and kept me in huge suspense but at times I felt the characters were immature and kinda strange. They just couldn't seem to make up their mind about the mother of Elle. She came off as a bitch at times and others like a good mother so I was not sure what the author was doing.

This is a young adult story. Elle is in college and Jona is 26 and they have the maturity of college students. Elle is the daughter of a movie star. Think Angelie Jolie. Her mother is a bit slutty but after her daughter is kidnapped and found she hires Jonah to play bodyguard/boyfriend as Elle resumes her life at college because the kidnapper is still at large.

At first Elle hates Jonah and he thinks she is immature. Then they fall into lust and start to get a long. I liked how great Jonah dealt with Elle and her nightmares. Thats where I started to enjoy the story. But then Jonah and Ellle become lovers and I just couldn't see a good bodyguard doing that.

At times I loved the story and other times I was unsure how I was supposed to feel. The two fall into love but neither see a life together. Jonah says his job is his life, and Elle has big plans too. Then they do a total 180 and while it was supposed to be romantic it just left me very confused.

The same with Elle's mother. She was this rabid horrible mother and then she becomes this really caring mother. It was like the author could not decide on how to portray the characters and they kept changing their minds over and over gain.

I did love the story. TRULY. It was a great story and I liked the characters even as they left me baffled. It was definitely a very interesting story and I would read more in the series.

Her mother hired a bodyguard for her daughter. In walks Jonah, all muscle and sex. His idea of pretending to be her boyfriend, throws them together and the chemistry sizzles. Could the kidnapper be someone she knows? Jonah much save her from being taken. Loved this book. Lots of surprises and twists and turns.
