I was looking forward to reading this book due to the good reviews. It was funny but not as hysterical as I expected from the reviews.

It was a very quick read. It only took me an hour to read.

I would like to read a similar book from a woman's perspective.

This is a fun book! It was a fast read, but a good way to spend a couple of hours. Jokes about love, life and the people in it. I found myself laughing aloud several times. I do hope that there will be another book. It is well worth the wait!

Before I downloaded the book from NetGalley, not sure what to make of it, I had a look on Amazon and started to read the first chapter. What I found there, was a really interesting biography of Mr. Gott and he sure had a story to tell and a gsoh going along with it.

However, this book here, despite sporting the same title by the same author, turned out to be quite different.
An endless listing of jokes, some are pretty old and well known, and a few short text passages thrown into the mix, where Mr. Gott offers (often with bitter irony) the story of his life, which actually starts when he's still an embryo.

Sorry, but not my cup of tea and I stopped reading halfway in.

I have a tendency to struggle with delivery on jokes, so rarely do I normally repeat them after hearing them from others. I admit that 20 pages in U had already called a few friends to share a laugh. The jokes in this book, while they cover all areas of life, never quite venture into vulgar or obsene...which tends to be a comedy/joke book trend.
