I have loved all of the books that I have read by this author previously so I was genuinely excited to see that this new book had been released!

I loved the story and the characters were lovely, people I could instantly warm too and I loved their interaction and characterisation. It is a lovely summer read and it is a real feel good story. Another brilliant story from this author!!

Five stars from me, I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it!!

This is a good book to curl up with on a lazy afternoon. This is a pretty cute story about three friends who are starting their own business but not everything goes to plan and they end up getting their handyman to pretend to be a partner so they can land their first client. It was a decent read and I liked the characters but it lacked a bit of romance for me other than that it is well worth a read.

This book had me just by looking at its cover.

I picked up this book because the cover was so beautiful and romantic. Needing a sprinkle of romance, I went into this book with gutso. And I was mildly disappointed as this was not a romantic story but a story of reaching out for the stars.
I liked the 3 girls came together and start their wedding planner business. It was sweet to see them rally together to give the couple a wedding of their dreams.
The writing had a sweetness to it which kept me enthralled with the book. I just wanted a bit more romance in it. Overall an enjoyable read.

I enjoyed this story about Tessa, Natalie and Ama (and Blake!), in their quest to offer couples the wedding of their dreams.

Tessa is a bona fide wedding planner with solid qualifications - so how come she spends her days working on kids parties? Ama works in her family's restaurant but she would love to let her creativity run free and make desserts and pastries full-time. Natalie is working for the fashion designer from hell, but she does such a great job in designing and sewing her own dresses.....how come no-one ever gets to see them?

How these three meet up and how Blake gets involved as well, is the core of this book and I really love what the author has done with the characters. It is a light and cheerful read, and I can't wait until the sequel comes out! I really hope there is one....

4☆ Enchanting Wedding Story

Tessa, Natalie and Ama have a wedding planning business together.
Each have their own unique talents but all three work perfectly together.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this enchanting story, about friendship, planning the perfect wedding, relationships and a dash of romance. Although this book is about weddings, it isn't all romance it's more about the planning and coming together.

I really liked Tessa, Natalie and Ama, i loved watching their ideas come together to give the happy couple the perfect wedding.
This was their dream, and their passion shines through.

If like me you love the wedding season then you will absolutely want to read this enchanting, warm book.

Sometimes you just gotta try a book because of the cover. Seriously, isn't it precious?!

But you know the saying about judging a book…

Apparently it works both ways, because unfortunately, this time a cute cover did not equal a cute story. Well, maybe it was, but I only got through 25 percent before deciding I’d had enough. Maybe the hazard of starting the first book of a series about three women who start their own one-stop wedding planning shop is that it takes a lot of explaining to set up the whole series. In the first 45 pages or so, we are introduced to all the characters, what their dream job is, and why they hate the ones they currently have. The next 20 pages are them coming together to form the new business. They were all pertinent details, but they didn’t draw me in or spark my interest to know how this endeavor was going to go down.

Also, if you title a book “a feel good summer romance,” I’m gonna want to see the hero and heroine meet WAY before the 23 percent mark of the book. And also have a romance (full disclosure, after reading 20 percent and there not being any hint of any kind of romance anywhere, I read some reviews…). Turns out, not only did the cover deceive me, but SO DOES THE TITLE. Full confession time...I skipped to the end, and it’s pretty clear the heroine and “hero” of this story don’t have an actual relationship. At least not yet, anyway. Maybe it’s coming further along in the series. Which is too bad, because I was expecting to read about it in THIS book, and I won’t get to since I’m not planning to read any more of this series. These days, I need something a little more fast paced to keep me engaged in a story, and I don't think this one is going to do it.

Writing wise, there wasn’t anything that I found objectionable in this book. It just didn’t keep (or even catch) my interest. In all fairness, when the synopsis said this book was perfect for fans of Debbie Macomber, I should have known it wasn’t for me. But I tried it because I wanted to try a new-to-me author, and also...that cover. 😏

A cute chick lit book. It was quick and easy to read. The characters were likable and I enjoyed reading this.

My only drawback is the 3 main girls all seemed a little young & naive, but loved their determination to make it work. I'm hoping there will be sequels for the other 2 women!

I love when a book is exactly what I expect it to be! This was dubbed "a feel good summer romance" and that is exactly what it is! I enjoyed this book because it was a quick read, which is perfect for summer! The characters were well developed and the plot was great!

This book is adorable. I love the way it starts with her as a child with her big dreams. Then it flashes to current day. Now I don't know how much I have to say how much I normally hate that sort of thing but when it works it really works. The same with when it jumps from character POV's. This one could have given a little better heads up like the name at the top of the chapter or some other indication because it was a little hard to know. Yes, they all had their strengths but I like that little indication that I need to be in a slightly different mindset for a different character. I loved watching them intermingle though. Watching/reading someone's dreams come is absolutely beautiful. Fictional or not it is fantastic. Then when the architect comes in I can almost feel his excitement in getting to restore an old building. It reminds me of an old friend of mine who builds and restores homes. Just the pure excitement and seeing their home just piled full of blue prints. The way the character talked about the restoration was fantastic. You could really feel how much they wanted that. I am so in love with how in love with their dreams these characters are. It is just beautiful and very uplifting. I also love how they were able to bring it all together even though at first Bianca fought them almost all the way but it ended so well. (no that is not a spoiler) This author has a way to make you really feel what the characters are feeling, as a reader that is absolutely something you want out of your books. That is something that will keep me coming back to this author. I can't wait to read more by her.

I thought this book was going to be so much more. Tessa wants to open her own bridal shop with wedding planner, dress maker, cake maker. Sounds great and she goes out and buys a building that is, or should be condemn. They find a handyman Blake Ellingham who actually adds some fun moments but every time when I thought this book was going to take off it did not. When I thought something might happen between Tessa and Blake nothing. From a guy’s perspective or at least mine I get that it is about the wedding, but there was no romance. Every time someone made a pass at either of the women they shot them down. I did like Natalie though she was a dress maker her family owned an Italian bakery so I could relate to that. I just had a problem when a book is under romance and I just did not feel like it was a romance, none of the main characters ended up with anyone. The story of the couple grandmother’s marriage was the only romance. Maybe the other books will be different.

This is such a cute sweet story. I can’t wait to read more about the Wedding Belles. I am newly introduced to this author but I know I am going to enjoy other books. Can’t wait for he next one in this series

I received an advanced copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review. I have been working through this title for awhile. It’s a cute story about three ameturs and friends starting a business together. They have the talent but have little experience and resources. Their handyman, Blake gets tied up in their ventures and poses as one of the partners to help the get their first client.. And eventually a small romance blooms between him and Tessa at the end of the novel. It was a cute story and overall easy read.

Sweet start to a new series!

Tessa has a dream! One that she is going to make happen with the help of a few friends! She has found the perfect location for her one stop wedding shop, but it needs a little fixing up first! Blake is the perfect contractor to do the fixing up! If only Tessa could stifle the sparks she feels around him! Then Stefan (Tessa’s wedding planner) decides to quit! Blake is pulled in even deeper to ensure their first client gets the wedding of their dreams!

I found this book to flow nicely, and I loved Bianca (Tessa’s first client)! The sparks between Tessa and Blake are not over the top, and I appreciated how the two worked with the other characters to set up the background for subsequent books.

What a wonderful treat this book was! It’s slightly strange to say a fluffy romantic comedy sucked me in from the very first page but this book did! I read this book in two sittings and when I was done I was sad to leave these characters... The good news! This is only the first book in what I am hoping to be many many more! Seriously something about this book was just as compelling as all those twisty thrillers and I think it was all about these engaging characters!

Tessa, Natalie, and Ama come together to open a wedding planning Business... Tessa is the planner, Natalie is the designer, and Ama is the baker... there was something just so genuine about these girls that captivated me, I wanted to be friends with them, I wanted to join their business (I’m not sure what I would do though?) in addition to the three girls we also have Blake... The hot contractor with a heart of gold who Tessa has hired to renovate the old house that they are using to house their business... renovate might be a generous term...the girls just want the house not to be a fire hazard, although I think Blake has different plans.... Blake also seems to have a bit of a gift for this wedding planning thing!

The romance in this book was very subtle and extremely slow building... no Insta love here my friends... just a little bit of a sneak peek of things to come... and all three girls are single so lots of happily ever afters in the future... of course a book about wedding planners must include a wedding, and this was a fun part of the book.... The couple to be was so humble and sweet you just wanted them to have the perfect day... I loved how they brought three different cultures together in this wedding; Italian, Irish, and Norwegian... and being of Norwegian descent myself I learned some things about my own culture always a treat... I also loved seeing the girls and Blake put all their gifts and talents to good use.... and some of the goodies that Ama created just sounded so delicious! A delightful story that left me wanting more time with these characters...

Absolutely encourage all of you with a heart to pick this book up! It will leave you with a smile on your face and A warm fuzzy feeling in your heart💗

As a child I dreamed of being a wedding planner. The glitz and glamour of a wedding from the brides dress and floral arrangements to the venue always caught my eye and got my wheels turning. Unfortunately my wedding planning dream did not come true, but I was able to live out my dream through Tess by reading this wonderful book. Tess always dreamed of becoming an event planner, specifically a wedding planner, but her job in the party business wasn’t quite cutting it. She decided to risk it all and start her own business with 3 other ambitious young adults. However, they were quickly met with disaster when one of the business partners quit. Throughout the story Tess, Natalie, and Ama do all they can to be successful, and with the help of a cute handyman, they may be able to pull it off in the end, I enjoyed this book, and hope to see what happens next in a sequel!

Note to self: I think when a book title goes on further to describe what exactly it is that I'm about to read it should give me pause.

I didn't even get to the heart of the story because there was so much filler and "telling" beforehand that I got incredibly bored. Conversations went on for pages without really going anywhere. I felt like the characters were in a play, reciting lines to bring the reader up to speed with the situation...their banter just didn't feel natural or easy.

Anyways, I pushed myself to page 40, but after the drawn-out conversation between Natalie and Tessa I was over it. Pass on this one.

Tess has always dreamed of owning her own wedding planning business. One day, she leaves her job, and together with her friends, Ama, Natalie and Stefan, she starts out on her own. But Wedding Belles does not get off to a smooth start. Stefan quits, and the building contractor, Blake, gives them a longer list of repairs than they'd anticipated. Their client, Bianca, is determined to give her grandson and his wife to be the wedding of their dreams, but their dreams are wildly different. Can the wedding go ahead without a hitch, and will Tess find a Mr Right of her own?
This year, I've read more "chick lit" than I usually would, and I'm really enjoying it, especially the ones that are a little different. One Day Like This is different, in that the main character's romance bubbles behind the scenes while she tries to plan a wedding. I really admired Tess for having the guts to follow her dream, especially in the face of adversity, and I was reading with my fingers crossed that everything would work out for her.
Tess' partners, Ama and Natalie, also have their own back stories, and I loved the feeling of community that goes right through this novel, as they both work in family run businesses, and call on their family and friends to help them plan Paulo and Molly's wedding. Not only this, but the cakes and biscuits that Ama and Natalie's families bake and sell sound absolutely divine, and I was salivating as I read! Ama's family is Indian, and they are keen for her to find a suitable husband by an arranged marriage. I was interested to learn more about the way this works and the different discussions surrounding the issue.
I believe One Day Like This marks the start of a series, and I am so happy to hear this, as the Wedding Belles have so much more to give. I look forward to reading more from them in the future

It's been a while since I stepped away from my usual book genre of choice but "One Day Like This" was the best book to capture my paranomal-loving-book-brain and it totally swept me away and pulled me in with it's easy-to-read style, it's easy-to-follow plot and easy-to-love characters.

From childhood the girls have played as a unit...sometimes a not very well-jelled unit but a unit all the same...and now they are all grown up, in full adulthood mode, they find themselves back together, drawn to each other with a joint dislike of the paths they are on and a similar passion, drive and ambition to give themselves something else.

This drive and ambition (however reluctant they are to admit it at times) sets them off on a whole new exciting journey together.

I really did love this book - it is certainly a feel-good summer read.  The humour between the characters was refreshing and gave the romance feel a fresh, different kind of a spin.

The relationship build up between Tessa and Blake, well yes, that was just very heart-warming and oh-so cute - I loved it.

And I also loved the go-get-it attitudes of the very strong, driven female lead characters - even feeling downhearted they kept going, kept pushing on - girls after my own heart.

I certainly recommend this read - it's fab
