Happy publication day to Laura ♥♥

I am over the moon to be able to share my review with you today on publication day!!

This was a little gem of a read. Who does not want to read about women taking the plunge and setting up a business using their skills in the wedding industry. I think that some point in every girl's life they wanted to plan weddings, even if it was just their own. I know I did, but I ended up in Finance......

It is Tessa's dream to leave her job and set up her own Wedding events company, but she is too scared to do it on her own, so she lists some help from friends, Ama who makes the most amazing cakes to boot, and Natalie who designs and makes the most amazing dresses. I loved the blind faith they have in each other to make this work, and all bringing their individual skills and contacts to plan the perfect wedding for their client.

Here the Wedding Belles are made.

Tessa finds and buys a gorgeous house for them to all use as an office, a fixer-upper. It sounded gorgeous and I know that I would love to go there if I wanted my wedding planned. Of course, it might have helped because of Blake Ellingham being there trying to fix it up. Sparks fly with him and Tessa......

I was fully invested in Tessa and the girls and backed them all the way, wanting everything to work out for them, so they could all achieve their dreams. When their first client comes in, Bianca, you wonder if they are up to the task, especially with Bianca dream of giving her grandson the most lavish wedding, she can afford. I really do love reading wedding books, and it made a refreshing change to read behind the scenes of a wedding, the lives of the planners and not focus on the bride and her bridal party.

To learn this is not the last time I will be hearing from these girls has made my day for sure!

One Day Like This was everything I wanted it to be and then some more. I absolutely loved this gorgeous story, straight from the beginning I was hooked on the characters and the storyline. I have read a few of Laura’s previous books so I was so excited for her to be published by Bookouture, they know how to pick some fabulous authors!

Tessa is following her dreams of owning her own business, along with some friends she’s making it a reality, you go girl! It’s hard work but they slowly get there with their wedding planning business. Enter their first client Bianca who wants a fabulous wedding for her grandson and his fiancee. Can they pull off the wedding?

From the beginning where we meet a young Tessa who is rather bossy to the end I was hooked on this sweet and charming book. The setting was brilliant, I really felt I was there in the Southern town with everyone, it was a pleasure to spend time in the town.

Laura’s writing is brilliant, it was an easy read that I couldn’t get enough of. Normally I stay away from wedding books but this one I absolutely adored. The characters were well-written and I loved getting to know them all.

One Day Like This is a wonderful, sweet, feel-good read that is just perfect for the summer. Get whisked away by Laura to the charming town and enjoy your stay there. I’m so glad that this is just the start of a series, I can’t wait to read more!

It's safe to say that I was rooting for this group of characters right from the start, each with a unique skill all coming together to provide a wonderful wedding experience. Even though I never wanted a big wedding myself I still love hearing about all the different weddings that people like. So to see this in a story was lovely as Tessa comes up with the various ideas along with how this trio had to think outside the box a few times in order to solve problems. One Day Like This has a little bit of everything to tempt you from gorgeous dresses to delicious cakes and desserts. I have to be honest it left me wishing I could reach into the book and try them!.

I loved the overall feeling of this book from the idea of taking a leap of faith and following your dreams, even if it means the probability of risks along the way! There was also a lovely emotional side to the story as we get to see friendships formed along with meeting a family that will make you smile. With such a light hearted feel to the story that completely put me at ease along with providing some wonderful heart warming and sweet moments. I enjoyed seeing each character blossom in their own way whether it was in confidence or just getting that chance to fulfill their dreams.

You know when you near the end of a story and wish it could carry on well this is exactly what I was feeling when I was reading those last few chapters. I have to admit that I was so happy to see that this wouldn't be the last time I get to meet Tessa and her friends!

Beautiful, sweet and romantic!

Five stars from me!

With thanks to Noelle at Bookouture for my copy.

This might be about Tessa, her dream, and Blake but keep an eye on Ama and Natalie who hopefully will feature in a follow up! Tessa is a wedding planner and now she's got her big chance in Bellegrove, where she's found a mansion. That mansion however, needs a LOT of work, which is where Blake comes in. This is perfect chick lit with a heroine who is striving to make something for and a hero who will help her. They have a good back and forth-entirely believable as a couple. Bianca, who is paying for the first wedding, is a hoot. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. Try this for a light tale that will make you want to read more.

I just couldn't get into this book. I usually love romance but the beginning is so slow moving and a bit confusing because you are introduced with to so many people but don't know the main character all that well. I won't post a review on any other sites

No review will be published publicly for this book as I didn't finish it. I found it far too slow moving and the more i read the less I liked a majority of the main characters.

Sadly, the blurb promised more that the portion of the book I read actually delivered.

Although I did enjoy this book, not much happened in it, and it felt too much like it is just setting the scene for the next book.

"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

It's one thing to be a wedding planner, but the most important part is to come up with ideas that please the happy couple and make their wedding day the most precious day of a lifetime. If you can make that happen, that's what makes you stand out and turns you into the perfect planner. So now it's up to Tessa and her team. Can they deliver and live their own dreams?

I also love everything concerning weddings and I would love to be one of the girls' parners. The story is lovely and fluently written. I loved all the characters and I can't wait to read what will happen next.
An entertaining feel good book for everybody who loves a good wedding and people who are not affraid to take their future in their own hands.

Thank you, Laura Briggs, Bookouture and Netgalley.

An Empowerment tale for women wrapped up in a wedding one stop shop. Our gal has been stuck in a dead end position with parties for kids...maybe sweet kids but it is still kids parties. The dream is weddings. Also having a lousy boos who always is tearing her down is the final straw. She goes back home and finds partners to make her dream and theirs true.

Tessa is stuck in a dead-end job at Party 2 Go--at least she's still in party planning, right? Even though her boss rarely asks her opinion and all the parties are cookie cutter kids parties. She dreams of planning gorgeous weddings, engagement parties, and etc. But instead she's cleaning up mashed hot dogs, wearing a disgusting dinosaur costume, and driving an oversized hot dog van. Fed up with her life, Tessa quits her job and forms a partnership with four other people for a start-up company--a one stop wedding shop. With her best friend, Natalie, an unconfident dress designer that designs gorgeous clothes--Natalie finds her confidence. Natalie's confidence is low due to her former employer Kandace, the worst designer in Atlanta. Kandace tears Natalie down at every opportunity. Ama, an internet baker who works out of her family's Indian restaurant. Ama is being pressured by her family to find a "nice Indian boy" or to "take out an ad" in order to find a husband. Something Ama has no interest in. Ama wants to have the romance and fall in love--not have an arranged marriage. Ama gains her confidence to tell her family that she wants to be a baker full time. Stefan, the four partner who backs out at the last minute for a job in Paris--leaves the three girls in a dire situation.
Tessa hires Blake Ellingham to help her repair the storefront historic home that houses their new business. Tessa needs Blake's help in order to repair her business. Will he help her? Why does he keep working late hours on the building?

My first book by this author, but looking back at other books that she has written it certainly seems that this author knows how to write a wedding story!! The story begins with Tessa, who has always wanted to run her own business and when a house comes up for sale she knows it would make the perfect one-stop wedding shop. Drafting in the help of wedding planner Stefan, cake maker Ama and dress designer Natalie, Tessa puts her plan in action. With their first customer found, the team realise that things don’t go as smoothly as planned. As the big day approaches, handyman Blake breaks the news that the whole venue will need rewiring. Can Tessa and her team pull off the perfect wedding?

The cover on the book was what first enticed me to read this one as it just looked so beautiful! The characters are all so likeable and I particularly liked the main character Tessa. At the beginning, she does come across as being a bit ‘bossy’ but as the story moves you get to realise how dedicated and determined Tessa is to providing the perfect wedding to her clients. Also of the main characters have their own little back story and it was great to read all these so you could feel that you really got to know them all.

The story flowed well and was light hearted and entertaining, as well as tender and loving throughout. There was no major twists or turns in the book and you could see where the story was heading, but it was such a lovely romantic book all the way through that it didn’t really matter! The descriptions of the wedding and its preparations were delightful and it definitely helped set the scene perfectly. It does seem that it is the start of a series, so I will look forward to reading the next one!

An absolutely perfect summer read! Would definitely recommend!

This book left me with mixed feeling, although it was well written, I found it quite hard to get into...I just didn’t care for the characters, it felt as if it was missing something the whole way through...sorry

I am sad to say although well written, I could not get into this story. First, the story begins with a little girl tea party that was hard to enjoy since the little girl was wound tighter than a drum. It moves into spending time on different people and their lives. So immediately you need to keep them all straight in your mind. Then as they all come together it was full of stress and no laughs. I read more than 100 pages and I still could not get into the story. I couldn't find any fun. It was just a boring story. I kept reading on and still, I didn't enjoy it, but I did enjoy the end. The writer has a great way of writing, but boy these characters needed some more personality.

A wonderful story of Tessa, an event organizer, Natalie, a student of fashion design, and Ama, a wannabe baker. When they decide to leave their dead-end jobs, and form a wedding organizing company, it takes work, but slowly begins to go forward. Their first client, Bianca, wants a top of the line wedding for her grandson and his fiance. Trying hard to stay within a budget that will not break the poor woman begins a fun dash around town. With hunky Blake, the handyman, stepping in at times to show a man's POV it gets even more fun. Enjoyed this one, and had trouble putting it down. Highly recommend this book and author. Hope there are more to come in this series.

What a charming story and what appears to the start of a new promising series for Laura Briggs. Of course I only twigged this could be the start of a series shortly before the end when I realised there was no where near enough book for anything to reach the sort of conclusion I would like.

Having read one of Laura Briggs' novella series before, it was fabulous to be able to read a longer book by the author, and it proves to me that this is an author who can definitely write and appears to be in her element when it comes to writing about weddings and event organisation.

I was intrigued from the prologue featuring a rather bossy young Tessa, and from what she says in that opening its not surprising that her dream is organise dream weddings for a living. The only problem is life didn't quite turn out as planned.

Natalie and Ama both have their own talents, in fashion design and baking, but the trio haven't really got any professional confidence. Until Tessa decides to rope them into her new business plan, and starts a series of events that will culminate in their first customer, and a weeding to plan.

Only this is grandmother of the groom wanting to pay for everything but she carries her life savings around in a tin, but wants the happy couple to have the best most grand things for the wedding.

This is a chance to see just what the Wedding Belles are capable off, and if you want to see if they pull off something that keeps all parties happy then you need to read the book.

I got a great feel for the Southern town that features in this book, from the diner food where they had a meeting that sounded delicious, to the various businesses owned by the ladies families in the area. There is plenty of food and cake mentioned, and the descriptions of Natalie's designs are fabulous too.

This is an excellent start for a series and I am very keen to see where is goes from here, as I have many unanswered questions about the three main characters.

Thank you Bookouture and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

What an incredibly sweet way to introduce this series! One Day Like This introduces us to the Wedding Belles as they open their new wedding planning business and plan their first event. The author did a terrific job of providing a back story for each of the Belles and also for the bride, groom, and groom’s grandmother. I can hardly wait for the next book in the series!

I enjoyed this lighthearted read. It was a simple story, but it moved quickly and had just enough character development. A perfect beach or summer read when you need something quick and light.

Looking forward to seeing how the story continues in upcoming books.
