This is one of the most craziest books I have read in a while. The series is focusing on three sisters and Stevie has to be the craziest of them. She is a lethal badger shifter that has attracted the attention of a panda shifter, Shen Li.

There is more violence in this book than I normally like. I kind of ignored it because I liked the way the book was written. It a slow build to romance for Stevie and Shen Li.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC provided by NetGalley and the publisher. Thank you!

This book was so freaking hilarious! I loved the first book, and yeah, I was really looking forward to reading this book. And it didn't disappoint, I really enjoyed Stevie and Shen, they were a great couple, thought they were unconventional.

I'm planning on reading the prequel series. I really think I have to, because from skimming the synopsis' of those books, those characters are showing up in this series, and with everything that's going on, it is a little confusing.

There were a few things going on. There's Stevie's ex who is though to be doing evil experiments on other shifters. There's Stevie's anxiety and lack of control over her shifted self and thus wanting to get rid of that self. And there's a death in the family, which means the Irish side of the MacKilligans as well as the girls' dad. So much going on!

I really enjoyed the relationship she and Shen have. Like, she just tells him that they're dating, and that's it. It's pretty hilarious! And as he's a panda, the most adorable of bears and thus won't eat her, he doesn't make her panic, and he calms her down. I really enjoyed them together!

Loved reading this book, and I can't wait to read more of this series!

Shelly Laurenston is the author of a long-running series of hilarious books about shape-shifters. (She also writes about dragon-shifters as G.A. Aiken.) Laurenston is known for her off-the-wall characters who can shift into lions, wolves, bears, etc. In a Badger Way is Book Two of the Honey Badger Chronicles about the three MacKilligan sisters — beautiful, smart, and crazy-lethal.

Stevie is a genius. Ever since she was a child and her prodigious intellect became known, she has been sought after by governments, underworld figures, and assassins. Her older sisters Charlie and Max have been keeping her protected — and soothed — all her life. Despite all her talents, Stevie battles crippling anxiety and panic attacks. And when Stevie gets into a full-blown attack, she can’t control her shifting or the dangerous hybrid creature she becomes.

Stevie’s young friend Kyle is staying with the sisters for a while to give his jackal family a break from the obnoxious teen. With him is Shen Li, a panda-shifter and Kyle’s bodyguard.

With all the craziness going on at the sisters’ house, Shen is a laid-back source of calm. He is content to live in the moment, maybe while enjoying some bamboo snacks. Stevie is drawn to his confident serenity and decides the handsome shifter will be her boyfriend, much to Shen’s surprise and confusion. But whenever she smiles at him, he feels a zing.

Stevie is drawn into a dangerous investigation of a lion scientist she used to date; he is suspected of conducting lethal experiments on hybrid shifters. She agrees to help but is also curious to know whether he has figured out a way to change hybrids, to “fix them.” Stevie is acutely aware that she is only a panic attack away from being a danger to others and is ashamed of her lack of control.

For all the joyful zaniness of her characters, Laurenston can also cover some heavy topics amid the hilarity and action. Mental health issues are addressed as Stevie works toward self-acceptance with the love and support of her sisters and Shen.

In a Badger Way is a fun silly read that entertains from start to finish.

We get a sweet and cuddly Panda shifter hero (Shen) and a slightly psycho Badger hybrid heroine (Stevie). Both characters are really likable and well written. I enjoyed Shen's constant crunching and Stevie's phobias and anxiety. I felt like the characters belong together and enjoyed their road to happily ever after.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance with a supernatural comedic theme..

Stevie may be afraid of bears but she loves pandas and she’s decided cuddling Shen is the best thing ever, even Shen is not some stuffed Giant Panda! Stevie is a threat Shen’s peace of mind because she has a way of finding trouble and she has no idea just how much trouble they’re in this hilariously fun and energetic romance that has readers crying tears of joy. Stevie and Shen have some sizzling chemistry and they have a certain kind of adorableness about them that just makes readers want to reach out and pinch their cheeks. Of course, readers may want to run fast in the other direction if they actually give into that impulse, because while Stevie may be least violent of the MacKilligan sisters, she may be the most dangerous. The relationship kind of creeps up on Shen which is sweet and spicy because while he’s busy pulling her out of trouble he’s falling hard and fast.

The story is a never ending wild ride of fun, excitement, suspense, snark and super tough females that readers can’t put down once they start reading it, in fact readers be prepared to lock distractions out ahead of time because the MacKilligan sisters are demanding and don’t like to share the attention. As usual with this author, the story is fast paced, full of fun, chuckle worthy dialogue and exciting, kick butt action that just keeps going and going and going.

I just love Shelly Laurentston's books so much. They are filled with everything anyone could ask for; violent adventure, sexy love, hilarious banter, and characters you just want to keep knowing more and more about. My only issue is she doesn't write fast enough. It's a long time between books. Not her fault and if she keeps putting out stories like this, then I guess it's something I'm willing to deal with. I just want more and more and more.

Anyway, Shen and Stevie were great. I loved how she set her mind on him and that was it until he realized he was in too. I loved the back story of the crazy twin aunts still out to get Charlie, Max and Stevie, and their insane cousin Mairi, tasked with executing their plan. I can't wait to find out if Max will get to them first and what she will do to them. The story of Stevie's ex and his demented brother. I love how the sisters are willing and able to lay waste to anything in their path to protecting each other.

I love that these are shifters that are hard to kill and that they can almost withstand anything.

I just want more. Why can't I have more NOW!?

I was in the mood for this kind of book and like always Shelly Laurenston didn't disappoint. I was so excited to read about the MacKilligan sisters again and see what kind of crazy problems they got now.

This book we get to know Stevie a little more, her crazy shifting problems and this new relationship she is building with Shen.
Who would have thought I could find a man-panda sexy, but after meeting this amazing guy I kind of do.
The way Stevie blindsided him into the relationship was the best part of the book, He couldn't help himself even though everything about it was crazy, like this awesome family.

I laughed out loud a LOT, as always the author has this special talent for making thrilling and yet sexy stories that also include hilarious and witty characters.

I was hooked from the start and couldn't put the book down for a second.

We get insane and bloody fight scenes that only these honey bagder shifters can deliver and a whole crazy other new shifters to meet and get to know. Don't forget the amazing bear brothers that we fell in love with on the first book in the series.

If you haven't read any books by the author the time to start is now! A must read!

I love this author and this book was everything I could have hoped for! The signature humor throughout kept me in stitches and the blossoming romance between Stevie and Shen was adorable. Loved seeing so many of my favorite past characters included in this book too. I can’t get enough of the MacKilligan sisters and look forward to Max’s story next!

I am a big fan of Shelly Laurenston's shifter books. I have been reading her even before she released Pack Challenge. The prologue and first chaper of In a Badger Way is classic Laurenston! It starts out strong and keeps the reader wanting to keep turning the page even when there are no more pages left! I have ordered the paperback from Barnes and Noble and I cannot wait the find out what happens with Shen, Stevie and her sisters! I will post reviews on Goodreads, Amazon and Bookbub when I finish the entire book.

IN A BADGER WAY is the second book in Shelly Laurenston's Honey Badger Chronicles series. Although it is part of a series with characters from Laurenston's "Pride" series making appearances as well, I think IN A BADGER WAY works as a standalone story. The romance in this book is stellar, but what makes these stories so addictive are the characters and humor. In this installment of the trials and tribulations of three honey badger shifter sisters, the youngest sister finds her way. Stevie was a child prodigy and her creativity and superior intellect draw people to her -- for the best and worst reasons. For bodyguard and panda shifter Shen, Stevie is just a beautiful and dynamic woman who drives him crazy in every way possible.

Shelly Laurenston tells a story with a lot of moving parts that wind up converging with terrible and terrific results. One piece of this story involves Stevie's father and the inevitable fallout that Stevie and her sisters have to deal with because of his shenanigans. Another piece of this story involves yet another psycho out to mess with and generally endanger and enrage hybrid shifters. Yet another piece of the story focuses on Stevie and her sometimes endearing and sometimes loopy journey of self-discovery. And, last but not least, this story is about the romance that develops between Stevie and Shen. I love it all! I love all the growly violence, the strong women who don't suffer fools, the laugh-out-loud moments, and the sweet and sexy romance. But the cast of a thousand characters makes this story truly amazeballs.

IN A BADGER WAY has everything: laughs, female badasses, and a satisfying romance. I'm happy to check in with familiar characters it was interesting to see Kyle down a notch from his usual level of "insufferable" as he acts as a friend to Stevie. Reading about the exploits of the MacKilligan sisters is always a blast, and the only thing better than reading about them would be watching them on the big screen while scarfing down some popcorn. I look forward to reading Shelly Laurenston's next off-the-wall and fabulous shifter romance.

Normally I inhale Shelly Laurenston. Her over the top heroines who kick butt, take names, always have their friends/families back has made her an autobuy author for me. Sadly, this one did not grab my attention. I almost felt like Laurenston was trying to out do herself and everything was too sarcastic, too violent, too over the top in this one for me to really sink in to it. Still an autobuy but this one wasn't for me.

In a Badger Way by Shelly Laurenston is book Two in the Honey Badger Chronicles.
I have read the previous book but thought this could be a standalone book. For some reason I couldn't get into their story like I do with other books. I like it when a book takes you into their world but with this one I just read their story and did enjoy it but I just wasn't drawn into it.

I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
It was a great book !
This is Stevie and Shen's book.
What can you say about the youngest of the three MacKilligan sisters ?
She is a badger tiger shifter, and she is can be startled easily.
( However, it is not a good idea to startle Stevie. You won't like what happens next! Just saying )
Oh, and she is afraid of any or all predators.
It does not help that she lives in a bear shifters only neighborhood.
(She is surrounded by killer bears!)
You can often find her hiding naked inside a cupboard. ( Don't judge! )
Shen is a panda shifter. The gentlest of them all. Just so cute!
His diet consist mainly of bamboo, or anything w/ bamboo, or anything made w/ bamboo.
Although he is a panda "bear" shifter, he is not considered to be a predator by the other shifter.
He is too cute to be a predator.
Once again, trouble has come looking for the MacKilligan sisters.
In true MacKilligan form, they stand their ground ready for a fight.
There is always some kind of government entity that wants to use Stevie for their own purpose.
Can't they just leave Stevie alone.
You know what happens when she is startled or she starts to panic.
This is such a hilarious read.
I love all the books by this author.
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can't wait for the next book in this series.

The MacKilligan sister's are back in the next installment of the Honey Badger series. The kindest of the three Stevie must deal with her medication not working her, fear of bears, a god complex protege, a sister who always must be on her case, and constant protection by both her older sisters. Be warned not to scare this petite woman because all hell will break loose when she shifts into her hybrid shifter form. Shen Li is the cute panda bear shifter hired to be the bodyguard for her protege. And finds himself reluctantly involved and attracted to this child prodigy genius. Can he protect her and help to stay calm and face the fears that cause her to shift? Will she fall in love with this cuddly, cute panda bear?

The MacKilligan sister have been basically on their own since they were children. Going to live with Charlie's grandfather's wolf shifters. When Stevie the youngest and a child prodigy and science genius is kidnapped it's up to Max and Charlie to find a way to save her. Her captors get a surprise when Stevie can't be calmed down. She turns into a 2 ton tiger striped honey badger. Stevie is literally burrowing in the kitchen cupboard because of a bunch of unfamiliar bears in their family kitchen. Her meds have stopped working. Shen Li and her protege, Kyle find her and take her Kyle's family home. Where she's ambushed by a neighbor who sets off her shifting into the honey badger and doing damage to the house. To make amends Stevie makes a deal with the neighbor and her enemy. After destroying this house she and her sisters go see therapists who help them deal with the problems. Shen has been attracted to Stevie for awhile but doesn't do anything about it because she's too young and doesn't like that she's been calling him cute. He has a calming effect on Stevie. Stevie must get back in touch with an ex-boyfriend who the shifter police believe has been killing hybrid shifters during experiments. He reluctantly helps her by becoming her bodyguard. Stevie starts calling Shen her boyfriend and he tries to resists the whole thing but she wears him down. Her and Max's constant fighting get them kicked out of the house. Shen takes Stevie to one of his sister's houses where they come together in a physical relationship. His constant eating of bamboo calms her. Steve's meeting with her ex doesn't go well. The sister go to a family funeral where they are kinda of warmly received. Their father shows up and makes a scene. Some unexpected guests show up and Max is sent to take care of them. Charlie and Stevie must help Max. Stevie tries out different types of exercise and settles on soccer because of physics. She makes friends. Shen has a calming affect on Stevie when she gets angry and helps her to control her shifting. She meets his sisters. She needs a alibi when she asks for help getting information from her ex. Stevie is kidnapped along with a few of others. Charlie and Max head the rescue. Stevie saves her fellow captives from harm. Shen and Stevie declare their love for each other. The sisters have unexpected guests.

Max has a feud with a local stray cat (nonshifter). She's always going off to find honey. Max keeps up her constant teasing of Stevie. When ever they're going to talk to someone she wants to kill them. Newly found relatives try to kill Max, but the person gets away. A call from her mother in prison has Max taking precautions about an old enemy. She's asked to take on a job with the local shifter police and must deal with her nemesis on the force. At the family funeral she goes after military types who they think is after Stevie when actually its her they want. She surprises the military men and cause a big stink. The funeral is under surveillance by the shifter police. Charlie and Stevie must help Max when she shows up to the wake. She gets a visit from her best friend.

In A Badger Way combines humor, suspense, and passion in a can't put down book. The second book in the Honey Badger series doesn't disappoint and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book. Shelly Laurenston writes a believable shifter world.

Shelly Laurenston is brutally funny! I'm so, so ready for more. I absolutely can't wait. Like I am physically incapable. I'm saying I’m reading my articles for grad school, but really I'm reading this. (I’m a terrible liar, and no one believes me). #InABadgerWay #NetGalley

This was just a teaser and if the book is as good as this glimpse into the story it will be wonderful. Can't really write a lot about a teaser but I will be looking forward to the full novel when it is released.
