For me this was just a dime in a dozen romance read. I rated it 3 stars because of that because even though it was enjoyable enough, and a fast paced read, it just wasn’t outstanding for me. Thanks so much though to the publisher for gifting me an e-arc back n the day. I always appreciate it! Unfortunately, not all books can be winners but thankfully a reading experience is something extremely personal so for someone else, this book could definitely be a new favorite! So I always suggest picking it up if it looks interesting.

Stiff Discipline was hot as all hell yet still had that sweet lovely feel to it!

I actually really enjoyed this book. It's quite short and very sexy so if you're in the mood for a quick read then this is it! I'd never read Ember Cole before but I really enjoyed her writing and will definitely keep her in mind when I'm in the mood for her steamy romance!

Though most of the book was amazing, I did find one thing to be a bit of an issue for me.

Yes, I understand this book is short and is meant to be fast but I felt like the ending, in particular, was maybe a bit too abrupt. Most of the book takes place in the span if a few days but I would've loved if we got more by way of them building a relationship together and not only sexy times. Anyways, that was my only problem with the book!

Everything else was great. Ember Cole's writing is consuming and I quite honestly didn't want to put it down. I loved Daniel and Kymber, they were so great together. Daniel was broody and intense but protective and caring. Kymber was witty, cute, and kind of funny! Together they were fiery hot and super sweet. I also loved the storyline, I'm a huge fan of taboo or forbidden romance and the age gap in this book definitely worked for me. I'm not sure what it is but I just love that kind of a book.

Stiff Discipline was funny, cute, and super sexy! I fell for the characters as fast as they fell for each other and loved their chemistry!

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It was quick maybe a little too quick at times and I would've liked a bit more content. Despite that, it was still super entertaining with the great writing, plot, romance, and character's and I look forward to continuing this series! I'm giving Stiff Discipline 4 stars and would recommend it to fans of taboo/forbidden (sexy) romance!!

This was a good quick smoking hot read if like me you enjoy a good Older man/Younger woman romance with a little bit of kink thrown in then you will enjoy Kymber and Daniels story. She is a twenty-one-year-old virgin looking to get rid of said virginity her friend comes up with the perfect guy for her he is their building manager Adam and is hot as hell. So off she goes to offer herself up but what she gets instead is an ex-military man and Adams dad, Daniel who is also Dominant. The chemistry between these two was immediate I really enjoyed this steamy read it was not huge on a storyline but was still a good read.

This book was pretty good. I liked that while it may have been instant heat there was hesitation...it kind of built into this undeniable romance that could not be pushed aside no matter how hard one of the main characters wanted to walk away

Stiff Discipline is exactly what I needed. Quick and HOT!! I had no idea this was such a short book and honestly thats why I had put it off as long as I did. Sometimes I NEED a book that I can read in a few hours, so this was perfect. Kymber is a college student newly returned to the states from a study abroad for 3 years. She and her BFF Bekka are hell bent on finding the perfect man to rid Kymber of her pesky virginity. After some consideration they decide that the super in their building, who is also the owners son, is the perfect candidate! After an evening out she strides in to the office to seduce him. She is more than pleasantly surprised to find the building's owner, Daniel in the office an not his son. His dominate presence immediately calls to her. She instantly knows that HE is the one. Daniel is ex-military and his commanding ways did not stop when he retired. He is hesitant to act on his feelings for two reasons. 1) She is innocent, that much is obvious. Can she handle him? His dominance? 2) He is twice her age. His son, Adam, should be the one to pursue her, but that though makes his blood boil. Will he gives in? Can she handle it? Stiff Discipline is a quick, HOT, insta-love kind of story everyone needs in their life. 4 stars simply because I dont think a book this short can be 5 stars, so this is my top rating for a novella type book.

I received an arc from Netgalley. While the age difference bothered me a bit the connection between Kymber and Daniel was off the charts. Fast and easy read. 3.5 stars

The story was well written, the plot flowed smoothly from page to page and the characters where very engaging and entertaining throughout the story. They had me totally engrossed until, the turn of the very last page! Can’t wait for “Private Prick and Unlawful Entry”.

Were has this beautiful talented autjor been all my life. Short ans ateamy books are my bread and butter and this Author gave me that in spades. Kymber boyfriend that she relocated from Australia with has cheated on her but she isnt really sad about it anymore. She jyst is. But shes been having these fantasies about there Landlord Daniel and when she accidentally gives him a dirty pictures she drew he cant believe this sweet girl wants the dirty things he wants. Old man younger female steaminess in sues. Perfect summer read. Cant wait to read more from this author. Shes gots a reader for life!

This was a short sexy read between a college virgin and her older landlord. Kinda taboo, but very steamy. Daniel struggles with some things, but luckily he's able to work it out.

Looking forward to more by Ember.

This story has Kymber who is out with her friend celebrating her birthday and striking out at finding a guy to hook up with. Her friend, roommate suggests that they go back to their apartment and get her dolled up so she can go down stairs and seduce the supper Adam. Sounds great, the problem is when she gets down stairs and says she forgot her keys the man she meets is not the supper but the owner Daniel. He is a retired Lt. Colonel and after 22 years in the military what she does next should not surprise him when she asks him to take her upstairs and have sex with. His response is thanks but no. He does take her upstairs and they do more than kiss before he leaves. When the next night she shows up again downstairs and this time after taking off her jacket and kneeling on the floor with her hands behind her back he cannot refuse her. What the author does with this short story is give both their lives plus a look at the sons and her friends, and she makes everything work. Everything seems fast but it is really slow and that is what makes this book work along with the characters. A very good book.

My oh my, This is a first Ember Cole book for me and I must say Stiff Discipline did not disappoint. This book made me hot all over. If you want steam that will have you dying to finish fast then this is definitely a read for you. As the first book in the Carnal Mischief series I must say it has me wanting more!

Eh... it was okay. Nothing great, but at the same time nothing horrible.

This book was definitely focused more on the intimacy scenes than on the background of the characters. While this usually isn't something I would complain about, I think it took away from the relationship of the couple. I didn't find that they knew much about each other outside of the bedroom. I found them falling in love to be difficult to believe given how their relationship seemed focus only on the bedroom.

This book could have been so much more if the author had been willing to expand the book.

OMG, what a great quick hot read. I really enjoyed reading this steamy little bit taboo story between ex-military Daniel and virgin Kymber. A short but well-written story with greatly developed characters. Kymber wants to lose her V-card and instead of young Adam, she bumps into his father. A very hard, harsh ex-military colonel. Daniel knows that Kymber is way young for him but it is also that she makes him feel like no one before. I really enjoyed reading this book I loved how the scenes between them were written I don't remember when was the last time that I soo enjoyed reading erotica.

This review is going to be short and sweet just like the book. The story starts off with a bang. Kymber is a 22 yr old virgin and wants to find a man to "de-flower" her. She feels it is time and she just wants to get it over with. Her best friend suggests the super in their apartment building but when Kymber shows up there to claim she is locked out and needs assistance, what she finds is much more than she had anticipated.

I really liked Daniel and the fact that he wrestles within himself to do the right thing. I honestly did not have a problem with their age difference and feel that if the chemistry is right, then so be it. Kymber was determined to get what she wanted and not take no for an answer. I liked that about her. She was not afraid to ask for what she wants.

The sex was hawt! If you are looking for a fast paced quick read, then this one is for you. These characters just jumped right into it. My only flaw with the book was that it was way too fast. I would have loved to see a full length novel.

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

Kymber is fed up of trying to find the perfect man so is just going to find the perfect man for the night on her 21st birthday. Things don’t work out so her friends urge her to find the building’s manager but is surprised to find someone else in his office that takes her breath away. Definitely hot.

Cole lets us in on her dirty little fantasy in this one; and she does not dissapoint! Stiff Discipline was a quick and kinky read; I loved it! She used the right mixture of worldbuilding, cute and sexy characters that are 'kind of' not hot, but hot. and smokingly hot male characters.
