Alex's life is in complete despair. Her hubby left her, her children won't speak to her, and she suffers from an eating disorder. She attends support meetings where she meets Carrie. They hit it off and become "perfect friends".

This was juicy, so many secrets! Left me guessing and wanting more!

Talk about twists and turns!!!
I wasn't sure if I should feel sorry for Alex or hate her for doing everything she did!!!
Every time I had decided, something else happened to make me doubt myself!
This was a great book and definitely worth reading!

This book was ok. I was able to figure out what was coming. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review. Receiving the book in this manner had no bearing on my review.

This was just ok. I kind of saw the twists coming so nothing was a major surprise. This was just entertaining enough to keep me interested but I've read better by this author.

*Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for an e-copy in exchange for an honest review.

I did read this book but didn't particularly enjoy it. I found it difficult to recognise the different narrators.

I do love a good thriller that has strange friendship dynamics of secrets obsession and betrayal, I love being captivated when you pick up a good book to read and its enthralling and leaves you wanting more- that is what happened when I started this novel, many twists and unexpected turns, fantastic!

Good and intriguing but seemed to be a bit too similar to other books featuring this theme. I enjoyed another book by the author but this one didn't hit a a home run this time.

3.5⭐️ for this book, my first of Barbara’s books I’ve read. This is the story of 2 compulsive liars who became friends at a support group and connected on more levels than they first thought.

The vulnerability of both ladies saw them drawn into each other’s web of lies and the further into the story you go, the less even the reader trusts about what’s true and what’s even more lies.

An easy to follow storyline that can leave you confused about who’s telling the truth, if anyone at all.

Full review to come.
I deeply apologize, but life is a handful lately and I'm using all my free time to read, not review. I hope everybody understands.

WOW! WOW! WOW!
I absolutely LOVED this twisted tale and had no idea where the author was going initially.
Unreliable narrative; amazingly well drawn out characters and a storyline with some OMG-moments kept me racing through the pages.
Highly recommend this book!

I thoroughly enjoyed this story!

A well written tale about a woman trying to make amends to her friend. The woman has concealed her transgression and the friend is none the wiser. Then, the threatening notes begin and a mystery unravels. What exactly is going on here?

Nicely written, a quick and easy read, this tale kept me turning pages through the night. At first, the twists were a little predictable, but as the mystery continued to unfold, I became anxious for answers. I hadn't expected the plot to take the course that it had, the many times that it did, and I was satisfied in its ending. I even ended up rooting for the characters, which is something that rarely happens when I read psychological thrillers such as this. If you're looking for an unpredictable plot, heavy twists and turns and a complex mystery, look no further. Well worth the read.

I'm giving this a 4/5 because the first quarter was rather predictable and because the ending, although satisfying, wasn't completely jarring. Other than that, this is a great domestic thriller.

She’ll do anything for you…

My name is Alex, and my world has been shattered.
My husband has left me.
My children won’t speak to me.
My friend Carrie is the only person I have.
She’s the only one I can trust to keep all my secrets.
She’d never do anything to let me down.
Would she?

This book has so many lies! Twists all the way through to keep you guessing what is true, and who is lying, The author did an amazing job with this one. It must have been a nightmare to write and keep track of everything.

Three and a half star rating.
Carrie and Alex - two ladies who are not exactly truthful! Carrie is almost like the daughter Alex never had and she only wants to take care of her. Well these two will certainly help you pass the time! Although not really likeable characters, you can feel some empathy with their situations. Bit of a slow burner this, but when the torch paper is lit with each shocking reveal, just watch how the story takes off. A thrilling, twisty sort of book with plenty of surprises along the way - enough for even the most hardened of readers!

This has to be one of my favourite books this year - You start reading thinking "ah it's going to go this way" Read a few more chapters and then its "nope it's going to go a different way." Alex meets Carrie when they are at a support group together. Alex supports Carrie who is 20 years younger than her and is going through cancer. Alex has not got any contact with her twins so Carrie fulfils that maternal need. However are either or both of them what they seem? I love books that have a strong friendship element but one that has twists and turns. A really good read.
