This book is in serious need of an editor. I appreciate that the author is trying to convey what life is like for the neurodivergent main character (MC), but the book reads as a jumbled stream of consciousness rather than an actual story-line. The grammatical and structural errors make it difficult to immerse yourself in the MC's point of view and the spelling mistakes take you right out of your suspension of disbelief. While there was some potential for a good story here, the execution ruined the experience for me. I found the basic story to be predictable, but the world would have been interesting enough to overlook this if it had been more fleshed out. The stream of consciousness writing also made it difficult to tell which character was which and the nuances of their interactions with the world around them were completely lost in the writing.

While this book wasn't for me, I applaud the author for not giving in to pressure to edit his work to "make it more accessible to neurotypical readers." There were several spelling, grammatical and punctuation mistakes that might have benefited from being thoroughly edited.
