This is more than a cookbook. It is a different philosophy of cooking and eating food based on one’s dosha or mind-body type. The first part tells of the author’s journey to self heal through nutrition as well as detailing the ayurvedic way, the author’s new spin on it and how to determine your dosha. Then come the recipes many of which have notes on how to modify them to work for the different doshas. It is all very interesting and the recipes sound delicious such as the “Sweet Potato Pesto Pizza” and the “Sunbutter and Root Vegetable “Soup”. One drawback is the lack of photos for each dish, but the photos that are included are beautiful. I don’t know that I will cook from this extensively but I will enjoy perusing it.

This is a plant-based Ayurvedic cookbook. This is not another one size fits all book. This book is different because it will teach you how to eat according to your body's specific needs. Did you know that changes in season and climate affect your digestion? This book will teach you how to adjust your eating accordingly and do much more.

The book has recipes for every meal of the day as well as some special recipes like 6 taste bowls and more. This book is a journey into yourself not jut a journey through your kitchen pantry. Some of the recipes jumped right out at me and I cannot wait to make them and serve to my family.

The book is filled with amazing pictures, and not just pictures of the foods. There are beautiful pictures featuring sites in India and more. The book is very informative on the Chakras as well as recipes geared towards your Chakras.

I received this book from the Author or Publisher via Netgalley.com to read and review.

This is a very beautiful book to look at, filled with colorful, dynamic photos of glorious dishes and the extremely photogenic author. Very high production value!
There are some attractive (to me) dishes, however I saw a lot of repetition with recipe ingredients like avocado, butternut squash, cauliflower, quinoa and sweet potatoes. While they are all healthy foods that I enjoy, I felt more like I was reading a cookbook with the theme "100 different ways to use these five ingredients"
Overall, more style than substance .
