Nora and Heath got to me from the first line! Their chemistry was off the charts, and sparks flew between them from their first meeting. I loved that she was a poor woman from the countryside, and he was a rich future baron - and still, they hit it off.
Of course, there was a huge secret between them, and that just brought some more excitement to their whirlwind romance.

I loved Heath's story! I've loved the glimpses of his story that we've been given in previous books. This book was sweet, romantic and held an edge of mystery.

Not really something that kept my interest. While I usually like Erica Ridley's writing, this one just didn't grasp me. I wouldn't say it's terrible, just that it wasn't for me.

This romance portrays the romance between a member of the ton and a paid servant. It highlights the beau monde's attitude towards the working class.

Heath is a Heir to a barony. He is the older brother to three sisters. He is expected to do his duty by marrying someone suitable, with title and money.

Nora is a temporary companion to Lady Roundtree. She is from a farming family who could really do with the extra money.

Heath is drawn to Nora from the instant they meet. Nora admires his easy demeanour. Kind. Honest. Friendly and family orientated. Not common within the ton. He befriends her despite her stance in society, and gradually finds himself falling. She too is quite besotted. Will Heath put duty over what his heart really desires? Can Nora's dreams of being courted by him become real?

I like Nora's secret talent which she uses to reflect the ton's behaviour through her eyes. It's a charming read. It's romantic and humourous.

I was kindly issued with an eARC from Netgalley and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is book five in the Rogues to Riches series. I was a tad disappointed in this one. This occurs during the same time as books 2,3, and 4. I just hate reading books like that. I don't like rereading about the same events. However, the author did a good job catching up in time with the others. The characters were enjoyable to read about just not a fan of the overlapping timeline.

Well, this happened.
Also, I think it might drive me crazy that the hero is supposed to be 32, but looks like he's 15 on the cover. Like, I felt like an old lady cooing over a little boy because he was cute.
Anyway, I feel like there was a lot of buildup to the secret, which should've made for a better conversation, fight, and resolution than what there was, but it was pushed to the last 5% and felt disappointing.

Absolutely loved this book. As always, Erica Ridley brings her characters to life in unique ways. She also brings to light interesting fragments of history such as political cartoons in this case. Once you start reading, you will not be able to put this down.

This book will be featured on BookSmartTV.com

This story had everything that I crave in a Ridley romance: A swoon-worthy leading man, a brave and unique leading lady, deception, intrigue, scandalous secrets, forbidden love and a search for the truth. I hated to see the book end!

Heath Grenville and Eleanora (Nora) Winfield are from two very different worlds. Heath is the heir to a barony, while Nora is a paid companion. He grew up among the ton, she on a sheep farm. However, when her distant cousin, Lady Roundtree broke her leg, Nora was hired to be her companion. Since companions and other servants are generally ignored by the ton, Heath and Nora should not have formally met, much less spoken to each other. Both harbor secrets, Heath keeps the scandal potential secrets of the ton, while Nora draws penny caricatures which mock the ton. Although it was her brother who first sent them to a printer, it was her decision to continue. Her poverty ridden family needed the money. As Heath and Nora spend more time together, they find how well suited they are to each. Can love overcome the obstacles and barriers their disparity in status present? What will Heath do when her anonymity as the caricature creator is revealed? This is the fifth book in the Rogues to Riches series by Erica Ridley. I have enjoyed them all. The only issue in this one was getting used to the fact that the previous book happenings are occurring within the same timeline. However, the next book, Bryony`s story, is alluded to, but not fleshed out so I must read the Lord of Vice to find out what happens. I have read many of Erica Ridley`s books and can truthfully say there is not a bad one among them.

An unusual storyline that works well. Ms. Ridley's style is crisp with no errors and the HEA is always there. I enjoyed the inter play between the h and H and look forward to reading more of her stories. The Lord of Secrets is the one that all of the Ton go to for help when they need a "fixer" and he uses his personal interactions with the Ton to leverage action that will help those that seek him out. She makes fun of the Ton and their interplay is interesting to be a part of as an observer.

an enjoyable tale and you like Nora and Heath the minute you meet them. They were fun and they had to deal with quirky characters as well as well meaning ones. The voice over performer was really good and you enjoyed her performance so if you get a chance give it a listen or pick up the book. either way you'll enjoy it.

I absolutely loved Heath and Nora's story. I love how Heath cared more his sister's reputation more than they did. Nora was the perfect match from him. I wonder if she every learned to read.

This is Rogues to Riches #5 book in which the reader is treated to Heath Grenville and Miss Eleanora Winfield as they find their path together amidst the Ton and intrigue. Great characters and a storyline with reader will love.
Ebook from net galley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

This was delightful read. Eleanora's character was lively and fun. Not in an outgoing way but the inner dialog shared with the reader. She loves her family and understands her place in life thus uses her limited time with the Ton to help her family. Her ability to help her family financially is a critical part to this story. Her eyes see society in a fresh manner and her caricatures express that to the ton. I like the fact that they don't know who the person doing the drawings is.

I have admired and wanted to know more about Heath from previous books to this series. I wondered how a man could survive three unique strong-willed sisters. I came to love his devotion to his family specifically his sisters. It was nice to read a story about a man who loved his sisters to the point of doing whatever it took to insuring their happiness.

I give this 4 STARS for portraying moral fiber in both characters.

This story is fun to read. The characters are very enjoyable. The story is nicely rounded, and manages to include the relevant aspects of the other books in the series regarding the artist, therein tying in all the other books. It is not the last book in the series.

I love reading books by Erica Ridley. The Lord of Secrets is another wonderful book. It is book number 5 in the Rogues to Riches series and can be read as a stand alone book. If you like this book then I recommend reading this series and the one she wrote prior to the Rogues to Riches series, the Dukes of War. Some of the characters in the Dukes of War series appear in the Rogues to Riches series. It is always fun to see which character will make a guest appearance in the next book. Erica has quite the imagination. Heath Grenville is a part of the musical Grenville family, so he has appeared in previous books. This is his special book . He is supposed to make a good match, a lady from society. Someone who is held in great esteem. Instead, he meets a paid companion to a society matron. Despite his attempts to just be solicitous to her, somehow he starts to fall for her. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

This is the 5th book in this series, and I have very much enjoyed them all. This story follows Hugh, who is a paid 'fixer'. The wealthy hire him to make their scandals/problems go away.

Nora is a poor relative of a noblewoman who comes to be a companion to her cousin. Nora is a skilled artist who sends drawings of her time in London to her brother. When her drawings end up the newspapers, Hugh is determined to find out who is behind them.

This is a slow burning story, but very satisfying. I am also very much looking forward to the next book in the series.
