Matt Chase wants what all his brother have: true love. Flings with some of the shallow women he’s been with are not fulfilling anymore. He wants someone to make him laugh and to build a life with. And that’s where Tate Murphy comes in…
Tate has been raising her siblings since her teen years and although Matt is exactly the man of her dreams she knows he’s never going to look at her twice. She’s not skinny and rich like the women he uses to have on his arm.

This is a really fast love, which is not really my thing. His interest for her is way too sudden which made me reticent about the story right from the beginning.

Matt: I’ll describe him real fast since I have so much to say about Tate. He’s a firefighter, good-looking and sweet.

Now, Tate: she’s really defensive and always ready to put you in your place if you so much as try to help her. She’s not used to it. She’s a strong woman who fought a lot to get her and her family to where they’re now. And her character would be just perfect if she wasn’t so victimized! They victimize a lot her which I, as a woman, really didn’t like to see. For everyone around her, she does no wrong. And I’m sorry if you’re going to be offended by what I’m about to say (write actually) but even when you hit rock bottom, you make mistakes as well and you’re still wrong sometimes. Which brings me to something else…

The story just keeps repeating itself over and over again. She’s never wrong so she’s always the one getting mad at something. So the deal is: she gets mad and he professes his love for her so she can forgive him for whatever reason made her mad in the first place. Which is tiring trust me!

On the bright side, family is the key word of this book! We have two big and strong families who come together to strengthen their love. Sometimes they fight and sometimes they fight together. The truth is, in my point of view, they’re the center of the book instead of the love story and if you’re more focused on them instead of the couple, you’ll probably going to enjoy the book a lot more.

If you’re a fan of love at first sight then, by all means, enjoy the book! But this really didn’t hit home for me. I really enjoyed the previous book of the series Taking Chase, so it’s safe to say that you can still enjoy the rest of the series with no worries.

Making Chase is the fourth book in the Chase Brothers series by Lauren Dane. I have loved getting to know the Chase family. I had a difficult time with this one though. I dunno what it was but this one seemed to grab me at a slower pace. I had a very difficult time finishing it.

Ahh these boys! Matt is the last to fall, and he falls for a short, sassy, curvacious sweetie named Tate. She's like the mama bird to all her siblings, and has a similar mindset to Matt's mom. At first I thought she was being a bit over the top, making a big deal out of the fact that she came from a different side of town and was fluffier than his exes. Until I saw that their town was filled with crazy and vicious people. It was pretty shocking. Between both their families, though, is enough love to sustain a whole planet!

It seems this is the end of the series and was wrapped up nicely for all the boys and their loves. It was a pleasure to read, I still have to go back and read the first two at some point, but they can be read as a stand alone.

This is by far my favorite Chase book. They have all been good, but it’s Tate Murphy that really stands out in this one. Usually in Romance novels you may find a girl with issues, but she’s always very pretty and fit. It’s so refreshing to have characters like Tate who is a bigger girl, but yet that isn’t the focus of who she is. Oh boy and that Matt Chase. What is there not to love. The way he handles Tate and all their differences is completely swoon worthy. This was a great end to the Chase series.

This book gave me all sorts of feelings. I've never cried so hard during a book.

Matt Chase is the last single Chase brother and lets just say that the town of Petal is not all that happy to find out he is off the market with salon owner Tate Murphy.

Tate is not your average main female character, she felt real. I connected with Tate so much and on so many levels. She had a rough childhood and always put her family before herself. She couldn't believe the handsome Matt Chase wanted her.

Tate's bond with Cassie was amazing and I love how they were able to connect with each other. As always, I love Liv and her outspoken personality. I wish there was more of Maggie and Tate but I did love what we got of them. And of course, Momma Chase is hands down my favorite person ever. She will protect her sons and their spouses and families at all costs.

I loved this story, but it was also extremely heartbreaking to read for me. I do recommend this story, especially if you have read all the previous ones.

This was a previously published book that I read years ago. It is still a good read but I hate when a book is not clearly stated that was previously published.

"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sexy & sweet romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

This book has previously been released but now the author has tweaked it so I’m guessing her fine tuning means perhaps slightly different in places without changing the overall story. Obviously check if you have this series before buying and if new to these stories then enjoy !
The Chase boys have all been caught except for firefighter Matt who is possibly the prettiest of all ! So imagine how it feels for him to actually be the one giving chase to a rather touchy Tate. Oh he’s slowly been creeping up on her but she has no idea that he’s about to get really serious and the girl from the wrong side of town is going to get a crash course in exactly what it means to be considered part of the Chase family.
I loved that Matt saw Tate exactly as she was and fair warning Matt doesn’t waste time ! He’s so over just catting around and more than ready to claim the hard working, family loving rock that Tate is. The only real trouble is that Tate is so used to looking after everyone else that she has a tough job showing her vulnerability and letting someone completely in. I guess in relationships communication really is the key.
The Chase family are adorable and I so want to be one ! Protective guys, intelligent women and a matriarch who just never quits. This book made me smile although rich guy and poor girl might make some roll their eyes it’s done with so much love that I found it impossible not to like. Yes it’s pure escapism with an almost fairytale feel to it but pantomime villain aside it was a worthy end to this series about a small town and one very loving family who live there. If you thought the Chase family were large just wait until they team up with Tates family !
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

I really loved this story. The characters are complex and full of real life issues. The heroine is brave and fiery but she is also ashamed and disillusioned. I love the fact that she is not your typical skinny minnie heroine. She is curvy and beautiful. The hero is a typical alpha male, sexy, charming, well built as well as loyal and dependable. The secondary characters are fascinating and engaging. The story line gets you hook line and sinker. It's emotional and heartbreaking and superbly written. This is my first by this author and she's got me. I'm going back to read her others.

Making Chase had some potential going in, however once I was half way in I kept feeling like it was lacking connections between the characters. Hoping next book my Lauren Dane is a keeper.

Making Chase is the forth book in the Chase Brothers series and probably my favorite. Tate and Matt are well suited characters and their interaction is engaging. This along with a well thought out story made for a wonder addition to the series.

I loved this book, Lauren Dane is a queen!

The Chase Brothers series is hands down one of my most re read series ever, I just love that they are getting re released with new covers and edits.

Matt and Tate are freaking perfect for each others, I cant say enough about this couple and series. I love the setting, the plot and the writing. Lauren Dane is that good, I loved this book so much again.

I do still wish we got more from this series, now that they are getting re released that she might gift us with some new short stories or even some more of Tate's family stories.

5 beautiful romantic stars, do yourself a favour and pick up this series.

Matt is a firefighter and an eligible bachelor. He's dated most of the women in town but they haven't been the One. When he meets Tate, a beauty salon owner from the "wrong side of the tracks" he is struck by everything about her. She is definitely the One but she has to stop putting herself down. Previously published and refreshed by the author, this is a sweet sexy romance.

Probably the best of all four books. Tate has had a rough life and she has made something of herself all while taking care of her younger siblings. She struggles with her past and her present is also pretty challenging. Hated to see the Chase Brothers end.

A wonderful read by an amazing author. I loved how family was at the core of the story and how real everything felt. The chemistry was off the charts and the demons both of them battled fierce and real. Unlike any story I have read before.

Tate has been the caregiver in her family and taken the brunt of her father’s cruelty that she struggles to believe in Matt Chase when he realizes she is the woman for him. His family and her family are a wonderful part of this book and help make this book extra special. I loved these two main characters and all of the secondary characters we are revisiting. I hope there are more books in this series!

This is the last book in the series and I really loved it. In this book we meet a new character, Tate, she is a curvy blonde girl who has 8 brothers and sisters and who along with her siblings has taken care of them her whole life. Her father is an alcoholic and her mother sleeps around but she rose above that to create a salon in Petal to support her family. She also has had a major crush on Matt for years.

One day she gets almost run over and Matt who is a firefighter tends to her. To thank him she sends him cookies and when they meet again, he falls very hard and very fast. This book features some insta lust/love on both sides. The issue is that Tate has a terrible self image. She thinks she is fat and ugly and that because of the bullies in Petal and her father. So she has no clue why Matt loves her or wants to be with her.

Tate has a long way to go. She has to learn to love herself as well as Matt and she has to learn to trust him which is very hard. I did not like how mean the women in Petal were to her and all her self doubt but I did love what a sweetheart she is and I did love how in love with her Matt was.

This was a really wonderful story and I wish the author would write stories for Tate's brothers and sisters.

Matt & Tate’s story is explored in this 4 th book, Making Chase. It is a hot, romantic, heart breaking & empowering story of two people falling in love. As the last of the Chase brothers to fall in love, Matt falls in love with a woman across the street. Tate Murphy never expected to fall under Matt’s radar. His family is well-know, wealthy, and beloved in their community. Her family is from the other side of the tracks, and she is nothing like other women Matt has dated. Thanks to a minor accident and a box of “thank you” cookies, Matt & Tate find each other. But they need to get through numerous obstacles from their pasts to reach their HEA.

Tate sometimes makes things awkward, "...I’d be happy to do you. Um, do your hair that is.” She blazed bright red." Matt's wooing skills are all in his words, “Sweetness, I’m dead on my feet. Do I still have that in? Because I have condoms and after a cup of coffee, I’ll be ready for you.” Matt doesn't feel the need to beat around the bush, “don’t want this to get cold,” he said, picking up the remains of his bacon. “Da*n, you’re a fine cook. What I foresee this being, Venus, is we date and date and have lots of ***... " I liked this book, I fell in love with Matt.
