Andrea Bolted does not disappoint. The Italian's Runaway Princess was a sweet read with just enough chemistry without being erotic.
I'll definitely read Bolter's books again, given the chance. She may still be relatively new to the scene but I think with the kind of romance she crafts, a tale that sweeps you up in the wonder and excitement of the main characters as they stroll through a locale with a life of it's own, we'll be seeing much more from her.
There was just something about this almost innocent princess slipping away in the night with only her jewels to barter in a beautiful city, not devoid of seedy pratfall and the bitter computer greek who swoops in like prince charming to rescue her from thieves, the streets and provide just the adventure and distraction she needs.
This one was written much in the style that got me started reading romance. Felt line an HR.
I really enjoyed this one. It's a fast read, you'll want more of.

Andrea Bolter is a new to me author and she brings sweetness and heart to her stories. Of course, I love the Harlequin Romance line because they are such a warm, lovely, romantic line. This book ticks all the boxes.

Who is Gio Grassi? Who is Luciana de la Isla de Izerole? What are each of their lives like? What do they each do for a living? What are their families like? Where does Luciana go when she runs away to take some time for herself? Why did she pick this place? What experiences does she have while there? It was really hard to understand what these experiences meant to Luciana, though I could empathize with her need to have them. I have often wished for some of the same experiences myself! Definitely worth every minute of the read. I cannot say more because I will end up spoiling the book. Just know I needed tissues at the end!

I received an advanced copy for honest review. Maybe because I have read this same trope over & over again with a Hero who has been "hurt" in the past so shuts himself off and all that jazz, I was honestly bored & was not able to finish for two weeks. While there is nothing wrong with the story or the writing, I just wasn't feeling "it" - not the romance, chemistry or characters (especially the Hero).
It is not a bad story, it just didn't capture my attention but it may fr someone else.

This story was overall boring and not very believable. It felt a bit like a novel version of a child playing paper dolls. Oh look, here is a princess. She meets this guy and moves in with him. Her dad is overbearing and unreasonable. Oh but wait, here is a magical business solution, so that makes it ok. Bleh.

Luci has been trapped her whole life in the role of a princess, meaning, she gets no say over her life. Finally the last straw is when her father is going to marry her off to an older king that she doesn't love. So she runs away for three weeks in order to have her grand adventure... only a handsome man named Gio messes everything up, in the best possible way.

The writing flowed smoothly, the character development was fine, on par with any romance novel out there. It's just... I'm a dialogue person, and most of this wasn't dialogue, it was inside the character's mind and all that is great, again, it was done wonderfully, it's just not my cup of tea. More talking if these people are going to fall in love would make more sense in my mind.

That being said, it was cute, sweet, and very short. You could plow through this baby in a day and be left feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. I loved watching Luci grow in such a short amount of time, it's rather amazing, her finally sticking up for herself and not allowing herself to be a pawn. Gio opening up again was also something I enjoyed reading. It even has some humor in it which I adored because I can always use more humor in my life right now.

Overall, it was a heartwarming read and I did enjoy it, just wanted more talky-talky between our leads.
