I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining.

I had high hopes for this one. In the end, I struggled to connect with the characters and it just wasn't my cup of tea.

I enjoyed this one! The Hero's attitude pissed me off, he's an a$$ that's for sure. But the heroine is adorable! I love how she tried her best to BE her best. It's relatable. It's been a while since the last time I read Natasha Anders's book and I miss it. This one is not her best but I always love the chemistry and the writing. Will read more from this beloved author!

I knew when Sam first graced the pages in The Best Man that he was going to be my favorite Alpha Man. After finishing this book, I can also tell you that it was my favorite in the series! I love a good unrepentant womanizing alphahole, and Sam definitely brought his A-game as the commitment phobic alpha with a sharp tongue and no small lack of insults. While I can see that he may not be a hero for everyone’s likes, he definitely did it for me and I couldn’t wait to see him fall for the sweet and proper Lia.
Dahlia was a heroine I wasn’t sure I’d like, but ended up absolutely loving. She’s sweet, thoughtful, innocent, but not overly naive. This was definitely a formula that worked for me. She’s the sweetest of the three McGregor sisters, and I was rooting for her from the very beginning.
After her engagement to an a-hole of epic proportions goes up in flames, Lia gives into something that’s completely out of character for her; a one-night fling with a womanizer that she never expects to see again. Sam makes no secret of his love-them-and-leave-them preferences, and he makes it crystal clear that he will never be Mr. Right. Lia is determined to find her forever man, and when a series of catastrophic (yet comedic) dates leave her disillusioned and giving up, seeing Sam again make her willing to pick right up where they left off.
Sam never expects to be back in the small town or to see Lia again. But when his job leaves him wounded and unable to fend for himself, what better way to heal that to hire the beautiful Lia to care for him and take the opportunity to try to lure her into his bed once more.
I loved the combination of Lia’s sweetness and Sam’s snark. These are two characters that don’t really make sense on paper, and yet their chemistry is off the charts. I loved seeing Lia slowly cave to Sam’s alluring nature and Sam slowly fall unwittingly for Lia’s sweet and endearing one. What starts off as a fling to scratch an itch soon begins to turn into something so much more for both of them. Natasha Anders crafted two incredibly well-developed characters with this book. As much as you want to hate Sam for the things he does and says, you simply can’t. You see just enough of his vulnerable side that he keeps cleverly hidden behind a smart-mouthed persona to know there’s a lot more to him than the initial playboy that meets the eye.
The Wrong Man had a little bit of everything; humor, steam, and plenty of emotion. It was incredibly satisfying. And even though I wanted Sam to work for it a little harder at the end, I couldn’t help but love their HEA. The epilogue was especially wonderful. It was the perfect conclusion to the series and it couldn’t have ended with a better book.

It started so well with this series! I loved the first book The Wingman, I tolerated the second book The Best Man but I just couldn’t bring myself to pass the 25% mark on the final book in the trilogy The Wrong Man. Because I didn’t finish the book, I am keeping this review short and give you the two big reasons that I couldn’t continue with this books:

The hero. I did not like him. At all. I think he was supposed to come across as a lovable playboy, but all I could see was a manipulator with some superficial charm. If you weren’t useful to him or he didn’t want to fuck you, then don’t expect any kind of decency. This was the hero I was supposed to fall in love with? I think not.
2. The heroine. This was an opposites attract romance so the hero may have been a womaniser, but the heroine was practically a virgin. She was the family good girl and does her very best to live up to that stereotype. I just found her blushing naivety disingenuous and irritating. When a 32 year old woman has to spell out S-E-X because she can’t say it out loud *shakes head* I just can’t go on.

Those were my main reasons for putting this book down for the final time, if you start having feelings of intense dislike for the two main characters, it’s the perfect time to stop reading.

Sam Brand was definitely the wrong man for Lia. One night stand that turned into another night. Making one mistake turned into more. After Sam was injured he went to South Africa for his convalescence leave. Having Lia help him regain his strength was just what he needed to pass the time. Having that outlet would make his leave more interesting. Lia would use her time with Sam as a way as a way to finally let go since her ventures in the dating world have been less than successful. The guys she dates are hilarious and definitely would stop me from dating. Great chemistry they can’t deny no longer how they try to fight it.

I liked the writing style for this book, but couldn't get behind the characters. He was uncomfortably pushy and she was uncomfortably indecisive.

I have been a closet fan of this author for a few years now. This is the 3rd book in the Alpha Man series in which all the characters are interconnected but can be read as stand alones. This book does start off right where the last one left off and it actually was a better story than I anticipated from the blurb.

I was a bit hesitant about the 'friends with benefits, for now' concept but as always the author wrote a story that I was sucked into and was rooting for the characters to come to their senses and give it a real try.

Recommend you give this series and author a go if you like alpha men and strong characters that give a real feeling romance.

On the fence about this story, I wasn’t keen on the way Sam kept pursuing Lia, given her feelings about the chase.

This book was so good, I loved it from the first pages! It has a lot of things I like in a story and I find the characters interesting! It was funny and fast paced and the romance was slow burn which is one of my favorites! The steam is off the charts especially with this dirty talking hero. Sam and Lia were a fun couple to read about because they were so different people.

I mirror other reviewers who said that it was creepy that the male love interest chased after the heroine, and it seemed like she definitely was not into him at all! Not good! I love a good chase, but she has to like it as well! That kind of threw me off, so I couldn't get into the rest of the book. I am willing to give Natasha another chance, just with lots more consent and desire! :)

**My thanks to the author for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

“Hello there, Miss Priss,” he greeted softly, his eyes taking in her cap-sleeved, knee-length, sky-blue dress with the high neck and slightly flared skirt. “You’re looking very pretty and proper this evening, and you know what that does to my blood pressure.”

I liked the ending to this series, and this one focuses on Dalia (Lia) and Sam Brand.

Lia is very proper and wants a husband, wears prim clothes and does not swear, Sam is another type of person. For one he's English and two he says what he think, uses no filters and swears quite a bit.

The pair spend a lot of time together when Sam uses Mason's house as a convalescence house after he is stabbed on the job. He uses Lia's sweet nature agains her, but it backfires a little bit when he seems to crave her more and more.

A mutual agreement for a fling whilst he is there and the pair are getting closer and closer whilst denying that they actually really like the island.

With an interfering sister, illness and recovery thrown into the mix along with a stubborn pop star, the pair eventually find that they don't want to be apart.

The epilogue give happy endings for all three sisters five years down the line as their families expand.

I did enjoy this book, but felt that book two was the best one.

This book was fantastic. Well written, engaging and hot. The story was perfect and I will be re-reading this again in the future. Kudos to an amazing writer.

DNF - I just couldn't get behind this story. It starts out with her trying avoid him after a night of sex and him sneaking up behind her to whisper "do you want to f*&^k?" I guess the avoiding didn't give him a clue. And all I could think was that there must have been a lot of liquor involved if she had sex with this asshat to begin with.

After I read The Best Man earlier this year, I couldn't wait for Sam and Lia's book. Seeing them together in the epilogue more that whet my appetite and I was chomping at the bit for The Wrong Man. Going into it, I knew Sam had asshole tendencies. What I wasn't prepared for was how much Sam toe'd the line. I love alpha males that start off as jerks before they learn the error of their ways, but there were moments when I wanted Lia to walk away. Once Sam's true nature came out, I was on his side. Before that, I could have dropped him like a hot potato.

This was my second time reading one of the author's books and I'm quickly becoming a new fan. Yes, her heroes can be a problem at times, but I always admire their transformation by the end of the book. I love authors that take their characters on a journey to self-awareness and Natasha Anders is fantastic at that. As for her heroines, they rock. They are solid, strong sisters that can hold their own. There were times when Lia broke my heart and watching her pull herself back together made me want to hug her. As strong as she is, things still hurt her and it's how she overcomes obstacles that gives her strength.

I haven't had the chance to read the first book in the Alpha Man series, but I thoroughly enjoyed the second and third books. I would love to read more of her books in the future, not just for her characters and writing style, but also for the lush backdrop of South Africa. I love spending time imagining the world her characters live in. Kudos, Natasha. You definitely have a new fan here.

Part of a series, this is the tale of a woman scorned and needing to let loose. She is looking for a hook up to break her up tight bonds... She finds her guy and he is happy to show her a Good Time.
Then a hit it and quit it deal becomes sort of more because they are thrown together.

This one just isn’t drawing me in as I hoped. I found it a little slow and then chemistry just wasn’t there for me. Sadly I only got about 3/4 of the way through.

This is the third book in the Alpha Men series. I read the first one, The Wing Man, and thoroughly enjoyed it, so when I received an invitation from the publisher, via Net-Galley, to read and review in advance of publication, I accepted. My opinions are my own and are not influenced in any way.

The Wrong Man is certainly titled correctly. The hero does not fit any of the desires of the heroine. I know opposites attract, but in this case, I believe they are too different. The writing flows well and the pacing, while a little slow, did not truly drag. My main issue with this book are the unlikeable hero and the doormat heroine.

Dahlia Mc Gregor’s character is way too ordinary and just too nice. She has no back-bone, even allowing a jerky date a second thought when she clearly does not even like the guy. She gives into everyone, especially Sam. While I normally love a nurturer, Dahlia takes that archetype to a new level that was even too much for me!

Sam Brand is crude and abrasive, and never truly warmed to him. He is constantly dropped the f-bomb which never sets well with me. While he is redeemed somewhat by the end of the book, in my estimation it takes way too long. His willingness to enmesh himself in the small-town life was all right but was way out of character.

Another reviewer mentioned that the romance never truly takes off. Sex yes, but not love. I found it very difficult to see this couple having a lasting relationship, so I never became vested in their “love” story. The sexual scenes are steamy, and I can see why some reviewers could enjoy them, but for me I like more emotion and less graphic detail.

Nonetheless, The Wrong Man is an interesting read, and I will probably read future books from Ms. Anders since I have enjoyed several of hers in the past. This book is missing the edge that is normally in her books. I would suggest The Unwanted Wife over this one. Happy reading!
