He Loves You Not by Tara Brown started off slowly for me, but once it got going, I couldn’t put it down. The characters were all well developed, and overall this was a light, fun, heartfelt, and highly entertaining read. Recommend!

I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining.

As I've learned to expect, a beautifully written and fun read. Brown writes wonderfully believable stories with flawed but truly good heroes and heroine

I loved this one! It was so swoon worthy and romantic! I can't recommend this one enough to people! It makes me want to read more from the author

This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it though it's definitely longer than it needed to be. Lacey is a middle class girl trying to keep up with her rich friends. I found the first half (or nearly half) really slow and I kept waiting for the story to pick up. The last half was good, if rushed in some areas. I like the scandals and socialites, they made for fun reading.
It's about a 3.5 star read. I'll probably check out more from this author.

I'm 20% in and gave up. The characters are not interesting. I have no desire to find out what happens to them. Also I hate the name Jordie. I am not a fan of the writing either. It seems to be going nowhere and I have way too many other books to read to commit to this one.

He Loves you Not is a decent book; It has romance, scandals and rich socialites. This is the 2nd book in the Serendipity series.

This story is about Lacey Winters the middleclass girl in a sea of rich friends, working her way through college with her BFF’s father she has a future set out and her eye on the prize. When she finds out some devastating family news she is forced to find other ways to pay for her final year in college, refusing to ask her friends for help she finds work in testing men and their faithfulness. What she never expected was to be testing the one she was falling for at the request of another woman. Scandals are revealed and friendships tested. Could creating ‘The Test Dummy’ be the downfall of Lacey and the people she cares about the most?

This is the first novel I have read of Brown’s, personally while I enjoyed the storyline, but the lead up felt like I was reading in slow motion, it wasn’t till around the 50% mark that the story started for me leaving me feeling like the ending was rushed and we didn’t get much time with Lacey and Jordan; a few chapters and an epilogue wasn’t enough for me.
While this may not have been one of my favourites I am looking forward to reading more of Tara Brown’s work in the future.

I have to say I didn't finish the book.
But I'll rate it anyway. Not because I want the average rating to drop or because I want my percentage on NetGalley to get higher but because I think you deserve to know why this book just didn't work out for me.

It's really important for me to enjoy the book, to read because the writing or the story got me hooked. And it needs to happen soon in the story, not too soon of course but not too late too. Because I really don't like to wait for the story to get interesting.

The blurb of this book was something I'd usually consider reading. But it lacked in the plot. First 30 % of the story is really boring. At first, I thought, yeah, okay, let's read about how rich people live but then I was just done. I DNF-ed at 38 % because the book looked like a terrible episode of Gossip Girl if one existed. It was all about rich people, how the heroine and her rich friend got manicures and massages and went to parties, gotten drunk... Probably 2 % or less were about Lacey and Jordan actually having a conversation. Even that was not really interesting. I wanted to read about them not how Lacey thinks her best friend is spoiled. (Don't even let me start about their friendship, I really couldn't connect with Lacey and I think she's too judgmental)

Firstly, I was concerned I would not enjoy this book so much because I haven't read first book. But that was not the case. I really loved it, although it was a little predictable at the moments. I would recommend Tara Brown's books for everyone that love some hot romance.

Didn't read the first book and was concerned I'd be a little bit lost with this story, but not the case. I liked this book because it's a trope that's starting to gain some traction in the romance genre, but there aren't an overabundance of "honey trap" stories yet. The character development was done well, sometimes their actions were predictable, and sometimes they were frustrating, but I still enjoyed this book and couldn't wait to see how everything would turn out.

I've always felt that there are two types of authors; one kind that sucks you in and makes you forget that this is all fiction and you have better things to do and worry about. the kind that makes time and pages fly by. And then there's the kind that you read because they're fun but even if they are extremely mundane, you still have an awareness that all this is fiction and you keep putting the book down every new chapter.

This author is the latter. for me, her characters failed to suck me in.
there's just something about her writing that makes me feel like she's trying too hard to be funny but I'm not gonna deny I still read them the day they come out.

enjoyable. low commitment

This was one of those books that i was kind of concerned about reading as i had missed the first book in the series. But what a great book it was. While at times the characters could be slightly predictable - the story line was fresh and new and not the same stuff seen in romance books times and time again. The characters were both at times lovable and at other times you ended up disliking them in the ultimate love hate relationship - but considering i demolished this book in less than 4 hours...i think that tells you everything you need to know.

I did not enjoy the first book in the series and although I gave it a try ultimately I had the same issues with this book.

I prefer to finish this review on a positive note, therefore, I should start with the things that I disliked. My main problem with HE LOVES YOU NOT by Tara Brown was the female MC – Lacy and the first half of the book.

As the FIRST HALF OF THE BOOK was way too SLOW PACED and full with very much contemporary everyday life, hence, personally for me it was BORING as I don’t enjoy everyday drama, which is around us daily. There were only three encounters between both MCs, which is way too little, however, those encounters were very entertaining and fun.

Other thing that I DISLIKED were most of the characters. And a major negative was LACY. She was such a JUDGEMENTAL HYPOCRITE who thought that she was better than her friends. She was arrogant and full of herself, a tad bit selfish at some points. Maybe she got it from her grandmother. I didn’t like to be in hear head, and felt like she doesn’t deserve Jordan. However, in the second half of the book she was nothing like at the beginning, she was like a different person, her judgemental thoughts and comments were not there anymore, but it was not a part of her character growth because it felt like the author just changed the voice of Lacy and that was it, which luckily made her a much more likeable person. All three main families of this book felt kind of dysfunctional.

Now let’s look at the POSITIVES, which was the SECOND HALF OF THE BOOK. It was definitely WORTH to get through the first 50% to get to this intriguing, FUN and exciting part of the story.

I ENJOYED the INTERACTION and chemistry between Lacy and Jordan. Their ROMANCE was cute, sweet, and fun.

I VERY MUCH LIKED the male MC – JORDAN. He was sweet, smart, caring, thoughtful, funny, responsible, and serious when needed to be. He felt real and like a really nice guy, a gentleman. His flaw was that he couldn’t stand up to his family but at the same time it was because he cared about them, and didn’t want to lose them. He saved this book for me because he was a GREAT MALE MC.

And during the second part of the book Lacy turned out to be an OK character as well, and the rest of the side characters grew on me as well.

I liked the last 50% of plot, as it was actually very ENTERTAINING and a bit thrilling. I very much liked that this book didn’t have the usual and annoying relationship drama, which is something that I can’t stand. So there was just the right kind and amount of drama that a romance book should have.

I would give the first part of the book 2 stars and the second part 4 stars, therefore, this book receives 3 STARS from me.

That I’m a fan of Tara Brown there is no doubt, but I have to say I LOVE what she’s doing with the Serendipity series!

They’re different than your usual NA books, they have a really good story and plotline behind the romance, they’re well written and funny as hell.

Also, they are VERY ACTUAL and, because of that, it’s so easy to relate to the story and connect with the characters. They deal with subjects that are more than trendy, they’re what we’re leaving at this time and age. And Tara captures that perfectly!

When it comes to the characters, I felt more connected to them than I did to the ones from the first book. I love them and their banter. Both the main and the secondary ones.

Tara’s sense of humor is ON POINT and I caught myself laughing out loud while reading the book. It’s so smart and funny!!!

I definitely recommend this read and I can’t wait for the next book in the series!!!

Easy and enjoyable read that will make you smile and also think about certain topics that the story evokes, the same ones that gave depth to the story and provoked strong reactions in you while reading.

This book is a hoot and a good book to read. This book kept me laughing and shaking my head at the same time. It was a fun read with plenty of drama and lots of steam. I was hooked from beginning to end.

I couldn't put this down and I didn't want to! He Loves You Not was told from dual prospectives of Lacie and Jamie. During one Summer vacation before the final year of collage. Lacie starts her own business testing the faithfulness of boyfriends around New York... Jordan happens to be one of those boyfriends.... the problem.... she falls in love.

Tara Brown does a great job of writing from both perspectives and made me fall in love with not only her main characters but her side characters. I was in love with Jordan and cheering him on. I was embarrassed for Lacie and cheering on different relationships along the way. I wanted to know who was going to get busted and was good. Would Lacie get caught in her deceptions?

This was the first book I read from Tara book I had read and was pleased to find that she had already published many others and I can not wait to read more by her!

Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for the early e-ARC in exchange for my honest review and opinions.

I don't usually like young adult romances but this was unexpectedly enjoyable. The characters (especially the female MC) had a certain maturity to them with loads of character development as you go through the story.

It offered more than the regular cute and cliche young adult issues and a HEA. would recommend this one.
