Another excellent legal thriller by Victor Methos. Peter Game (real name Peter James—he uses Game to distance himself from a famous aunt who is a judge and so he can use it on billboards—“the best game in town.”

A personal injury attorney, he gets by by defending the little guy and isn’t particularly troubled by ethics. Then he is approached by the mother of a school shooting victim who wants to sue the manufacturer of the gun that killed her seven year old son. Peter knows it would be a waste of time since no one has ever won a case against a gun manufacturer. But the mother convinces him to take the case.

His opponent is a celebrity lawyer, arrogant and confident. Peter is sure he isn’t up to the task, but he decides to try and do his best.

A very timely topic, and very well written. Another great book from Mr. Methos.
