Following "Even Money", I was really looking forward to "Double Down" and had a lot of anticipation, particularly following the thrilling ending of the first book.

While I enjoyed the quick pace and the romantic suspense of this story, I struggled a bit with how predictable it became toward the second half as well as what felt to me like a handful of additional characters that didn't seem to serve much of a purpose.

As always, I appreciate the opportunity to read and review one of your titles. Unfortunately, this title didn’t work for me and I have chosen not to review it.
Please also let me extend my apologies for this being so incredibly late (as I am guessing it’s more than obvious I didn’t review at this point) as I like to hold negative or DNF reviews until a title is no longer available on NetGalley, and sometimes posting once it has been archived slips my mind.

Even Money, book one in this duet left me twisted up in knots and jonesing for book two. Double Down definitely did not disappoint. Holy smokes, what a twisty, topsy turvy rollercoaster ride!

Alessandra Torre is a master of her craft. This story had me biting my nails and squirming in my seat. Not only is this masterfully written with killer suspense, but the love scenes are off the freaking charts! Thank God I had my air conditioner on full blast because I was starting to sweat. They were that good!

No spoilers from this gal, but if you're looking for something that will keep you guessing and engaged I highly recommend this duet. Wow! This author surprises me time and time again.

I didn’t know this was a second book, it was so good but I need to go back and read the first one and then reread this so I’ll get a better idea to what’s going on .......

You have to read the previous book to truly appreciate Double Down. The attraction between the two main characters burn through the pages and really drive the story.

That cliffy in book one!!! Needed to know what was next for Bell and Dario and omg!!
Double Down was skilfully written. There was an air of mystery/suspens that kept my attention until the very end. All the different points of view had me holding tight and to have an insight into all those different minds was intense.
Dario knows what he wants and he will do what he can to get his HEA!

Everything Alessandra has written, I have fallen in love with. The snarky and sassiness I find in all her characters is very refreshing in a sea of all romance novels appearing the same. This romantic suspense is packed with every emotion I crave in a story to engulf me in its pages. Chemistry burns hot and the story unfolded is simply a breathe of fresh air in its unique dictation.

The second book to the All In Duet. I loved the first book but the sequel didnt blow me away like I expected it to. I still enjoyed the storyline but was hoping for a little more of a wow factor

An enjoyable read but not my favorite from this author. Still, I appreciated the writing! It was an easy read! I recommend it if you love this author.

A very interesting follow-up.

Totally worth the read as a duet.

Probably some of Alessandra Torre's best work.

This one was action packed. We pick up right where the last book left off and it never stopped. There was craziness everywhere! The last half of the book was intense and pretty clever. I think this duet would make a great movie, it was really good. What a great conclusion, it had me all kinds of entertained.

A dark story of obsession, love, and guilt! A tale of love gone wrong, oh so very wrong! This is a slow burning in depth character study of two people and their destructive obsession with one another. This book was simultaneously fascinating and unsettling. This is not a twisted psychological thriller it is rather a character study of twisted individuals.

The story bounces around in time. We get Catherine’s past and present perspectives, as well as the perspective of Lucian in the past. Catherine and Lucian dated years ago and something happened to tear them apart, something tragic. Catherine never gets over Lucian even though she marries a different man and has children with him. Now Catherine is in the hospital suffering from selective mutism. In order to get better Catherine must face the past, but how will that impact her present and her future?

Neither Catherine or Lucian were very likable, there was a kind of shadow of doom over them. The only character in this book I found likable and very sympathetic was Sam, Catherine’s husband that poor guy. Clare Empsom was very thorough and concise in her storytelling. You really get a comprehensive picture of both Catherine and Lucian and the situation. A well told story about obsessive love.

This series was amazing! It kept me on the edge of my seat and broke my heart at the same time. Dario finally found the love he was looking for with the cost to so many.

This is the second book in this duet by Alessandra Torre and honestly I didn't care for the ending, it felt like things were super rushed, like there was minimal story line development and the characters became somewhat unlikable for me in this book. Which sucks because I enjoyed the suspense and kinda thriller vibe of the first one. This one just fell a little flat for me.

Double Down is the dramatic and amazing conclusion to the All In Duet. It's full of so many twists and turns, it had me on the edge of my seat. It's vibrating with angst and suspense. The entire book is everything I wanted and more.

Double Down starts off immediately where Even Money left off and I was just as captivated the second time around with Dario and Bell's story. The plot is thrilling, concise, fast-paced and well written. Alessandra Torre does a fantastic job of addressing the unresolved issues that happened in Even Money and it was well worth the wait. And once again she blew my mind!!! I devoured Double Down in one day as I just couldn't put it down.

If you are looking for a book with an addictive, sexy and suspenseful plot; then this is definitely the book for you. I highly recommend reading Even Money and Double Down, you will not be disappointed.

Torre always writes smoking hot reads, and this was no different. I have not read anything I didn't like by her yet. I enjoyed the thriller aspect thrown into this romance, and I thought it did a good job sharing screen time. This was a good sequel, and Dario is something else. Greatly recommend to fans of Torre and those that enjoyed the first book.

Double Down is a suspense, kind of. I really enjoy Allesandre’s writinf, she really just hits you in the gut with her books with how good her writing is. I wasn’t too into this book, I think it’s a hit or miss kind of book for fans of her.

Picking up after the heart stopping conclusion of Even Money, Double Down continues the twisty, suspense filled story of Dario & Bell. This tightly woven take of revenge, lust & murder will keep you engaged until the final page.

A solid conclusion for Dario and Belle, with the right blend of suspense and crazy hot chemistry and danger. Picking up where Even Money ended, the story moves at a good pace and has enough action and intrigue to keep you engaged in the story.

Such an amazing read by one of my favorite authors ever. She hasn't written a book yet that I haven't loved and adored.
