Another great installment to the Leopard People series by Christine Feehan. It has all the elements that makes her books so much fun to read: suspense, strong characters, paranormal elements, steamy scenes, true love, and an intense plot full of twists and turns. I thought the way the author handled Timur's need to control because of his total lack of it as a child was well done and excellently explained without being preachy to the reader. He poured the pain of his past into a great need to protect rather than perpetuating the cycle of abuse, which I loved. He has his faults, as every good character does - his protective streak can be overbearing and uncontrollable at times, and his lack of trust in others has hurt him as well as helped. I found him to be balanced in his good and bad points, which can be difficult to find in the romance genre.

Ashe and Timur's interactions were engrossing and fun. There was no starry-eyed, love and first sight and everything is all better tropes to this couple. Both have secrets and issues they need to work through, together and within themselves. And that makes their relationship all the more believable for me. The suspense and mystery of the plot grabbed me quickly and kept me interested through the entire story.

Recommended for fans of Feehan's other works, Karen Marie Moning, and C. L. Wilson.

I received this ARC copy of Leopard's Run from NetGalley. This is my honest and voluntary review.

This series has always been hit or miss for me. The men are completely alpha; in fact they're a little over the top alpha.

I did enjoy Timur and Ashe's story. Enough to continue on with the series.

This series gets better and better. Always a fan of Ms. Feehan, this book hits all the right spots. Looking for a good romance with a bit of darkness? This is the book for you. The shifter world is never an easy one. It appears that those with "might" generally are the abusive sort. This is true for both Timur and Ashe. Their past is peppered with trauma inducing defining moments. These terrible experiences are what makes these two so strong. When the two meet, it is a challenge to see who is the stronger one.

Ms. Feehan consistently delivers romance with a bite. The conflicts in this story are sometimes painful to witness and guessing how they can be resolved can sometimes be gut clenching. Ms. Feehan paints her characters into a corner which I'm not quite sure how they will rescue themselves without using ex deus machina. And yet, every time, Ms. Feehan finds a way for her characters to rescue themselves out of a bind. I love it. I enjoy how the characters butt heads and still find common ground. Bringing in previous characters in the series helps keep this world building familiar. It is like coming back to a favourite café and seeing my favourite servers still providing excellent service.

I look forward to seeing which leopard will fall for their mate next. They struggle so hard against the evitable. The journey with twists, turns and set backs is what makes this romance so good. This paranormal romance is recommended to readers who enjoy a bit of sorrow added to their happily ever after.

Fast paced, interesting storyline, complex characters, a good amount of mystery. These leopard shifters are alpha to the max. Perhaps a tad too much sex for my taste, but overall an excellent story. Timur knows Ashe is his lifemate, but he also knows she is hiding something. It makes for an interesting mating. These leopard shifters/bodyguards really make for great characters. Can't wait for the next one.

This is book 11 in this Leopard series. I would not read this as a stand a lone – at least the book before needs to be read to keep all the characters straight. We meet Timur in the previous book – his a tough strong leopard and it take a strong female to make him purr. Ashe is a friend of Evangeline from the mountains but with a past -following her. But she’s also a leopard shifter about to emerge and she’s Timurs mate. Lots of hot sex and exciting action as the battle the drug and trafficking problems as they keep there women safe . The are not nice men but they love there women and protect there family. Looking forward to see the rest of the family claim mates . Lisa

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I don’t own this one yet, but I own most of the series in paperback. I always get her books in paperback!

The cover looks fierce!

This is the 10th book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the violence and steamy scenes involving mates! You do not have to read them in order, but I suspect you may know some of the characters much better if you did.

This is Timur and Ashe’s story! They are both being hunted and trust no one. Evangeline is special to both of them, and they want to keep her safe. They both have a very bumped road to their happiness including several attempts on everyone’s lives. Treachery is afoot, and they aren’t sure where it is coming from. Timur and his leopard are fierce in their protection of those they considers theirs, but Ashe has been trained and can take care of herself. They both have a lot of baggage to get through in their journey to happiness. I love all the twists and turns where you weren’t sure what would happen next!

I highly recommend to any feline shifter fans who love complex stories with fights, danger, treachery, mystery, and mates….so much to love!

Great continuation of the leopard series. I love seeing favorite characters find their HEA. Timur was a great alpha protecting both his woman and family.

4.5 Hearts Feehan has written 10 stories now in the Leopard series. A shape shifter animal you do not hear much about. Feehan can come up with some interesting storylines and characters and again in this series and this story she does it again!

Feehan is one of the queens of paranormal in my opinion. She easily draws you into each character and their story.

Who doesn’t enjoy a good shapeshifter story? Well if it is not your genre of choice turn away now but if it is then pick up this series. I want to say these stories are not a stand alone. They really need to be read in order to understand exactly who and what is going on.

This is just another great story in this great series.

I have been a fan of Christine Feehan since I found her first Carpathian novel. I have always enjoyed her books because they were different from others. With that being said, I did enjoy this book, but it did get a little tedious with the repetition of abuse and the sex scenes. Don't get me wrong! I like a good sex scene (LOL!) but these seemed to go on and on. The characters in the book (Timur and Ashe) were very good together, once they got over their initial trust issues. Will I continue to read these books? Yes, but I hope that Feehan will try and do more story without the abuse seeming to be the reason that the characters come together.
I received an arc from netgalley to give an unbiased review.

While Ms. Feehan has been one of my favorite authors over the past couple of years my interest has been dwindling as her stories have become increasing dark and erotic. The Leopard series has been a hit or miss for me and this one is definitely a miss.
The two characters are actually are interesting characters and there are some great moments in the story but overall there are three overriding themes of this story:
1. Timur's family history of abuse and perversion,
2. non stop sex between Timur and Ashe,
3. and the mob theme.

I don't know if in some instances this is because the stories have gone on for too long and now there isn't anything new and fresh. Regardless this book was not for me.

Leopard’s Run starts with Timur Amurov, brother to Fyodor Amurov from Leopard’s Fury, as he is walking into Evangeline’s bakery, Fyodor’s wife, and learns that she has hired a new barista without telling him even though he is the chief of security for Fyodor. Timur is not happy giving that there is a hit on Fyodor and family and he should know everything that is happening in their life, so the new employee is an enigma for him. The new barista is Ashe Bronte, she is a young woman that needs a job and a place to stay for a while and when she saw Fyodor and Evangeline’s wedding announcement she knew where to find her friend and ask for help.

Giving that Fyodor, Timur and their cousin Gorya are no longer using their fake names, their Uncles in Europe are planning revenge attacks against them for killing their brother, Fyodor and Timur’s father. At any moment they could be attacked but the new barista is taking all of Timur’s concentration after he learns that she is also a leopard, even worse his own leopard has noticed that Ashe is their mate. Ashe knows that she can’t stay for a long time in one place, she is also being hunted and must stay on the move, but meeting Timur and being close to Evangeline is making it hard for her to move on.

As the first attack against them comes, Timur has to make Ashe understand that their relationship is meant to be and there won’t be anyone else for them, together they are stronger and happy.

I liked Leopard’s Run, the story is packed with action, romance, and mystery. In this book in the Leopard People series, we meet Ashe Bronte, who by far was my favorite character in the story, and we see again Timur Amurov who finally finds his mate that will help him keep his sanity. I liked Ashe and her past, all women in the series seem to have a strong background that helps them stay alive, but I think that Ashe was more prepared than others, and I liked one of her fight scenes.

I really liked when we see characters from the previous series, it is nice to read about them and how they are doing after the events of their own books. I liked that the wives of the crime bosses are now friends and help each other to accept their husband’s positive crime life.

Evangeline’s family is interesting, it was nice to see her brothers again in this story, but her father and uncle were a different story. I hope we can see her brothers as the main characters in their books and find their mates.

I feel that the narrative is getting a little repetitive, the story is following the same pattern for some time and we mostly see them fight another crime boss or lackey of theirs. What I like from Leopard’s Run was that it introduces that some female leopards can calm other male leopards apart from their own mates, helping them keep their sanity while they find their mates.

If you are a fan of Christine Feehan and her work such as the Leopard People series, then I recommend you, Leopard’s Run. In this book, a woman who is running towards enemy lines to find her parents’ killers, finds safety and love in a bakery guarded by a man that could be her salvation.

Christine Feehan escalates the high energy action in the Leopard series novel Leopard's Run. Timur Amurov, a leopard shifter and family enforcer, feels an instant attraction to his sister-in-law's new barista, Ashe. Is she a danger to his family or only to his inner tiger. Engaging paranormal romance with life on the edge. Classical Christine Feehan. Read and enjoy.

This book is an intense addition to the Leopard Series. Timur is a dark and violent man, but Feehan managed to let us peek at the tenderness deep inside, which made him all the sexier. I loved Ashe. Strong, smart and capable of taking care of herself – especially standing up for her rights in the relationship. The final fight scene was one of my favorites and I wish I could say why without giving too much away. I enjoyed how their relationship grew. It went beyond the simple "mate attraction" and let their human half fall in love.

I’m a fan of Christine Feehan because each series has their own distinct tone. This series shows us the violent and dangerous world of these Leopards, blended with their intense erotic love lives. The beginning seemed to drag for me, but it sure made up for it, and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Overall it was a sexy and pulse-pumping ride of a story.

I can’t get enough of these sexy, dangerous, protective leopards!

I love Christine Feehan’s leopards! They are beautiful, dangerous, and wrote the book on alpha. They are strong defenders and scary enemies so you definitely want them on your side. The Amurovs are even deadlier then most, their family history shaping who they are, what they are. They’ve escaped their past and built their lives around new friends and family, around their need to be different. To be better. Luckily for them, they’ve also found women who can not only stand up to them but be strong at their side. Each story in this series can be read standalone though there is an overarching plot that builds from the start. This time out it was Timur’s chance to find his mate and I couldn’t wait for this stoic man’s story...

Ashe is hiding something and Timur is going to find out what that is, even as his own leopard is screaming at him that she is not the enemy. He has to find out for himself and his way is blunt, direct and offers no other path except his own. Ashe, however, has been governed by her past as well. Her strength and love for her family has set her on a path that suddenly has become uncertain. Their coming together is a mix of suspicion, wariness that blends into a tumultuous, sexy mix...

I loved how this story played out with a scenario as unique as the characters themselves. While I know, in general, what is coming, the delivery and the details ensure I am enjoying an emotional and satisfying romance. Suspenseful and full of heat, love and family, Ashe and Timur set the pages on fire and my heart melting along the way… So, so good!

Timur only saving grace from the abuse he survived at the hands of his father and his father’s family was he escaped with his brothers and now he leads the protection for his brother and his brother’s mate…until he meetsAshe.

Ashe is on the run only to find herself smack dab in the middle of an even larger shifter mess. Not knowing that she is going through the change, Ashe sets off all kinds of mating instincts in a highly volatile group of shifter leopards with Timur reluctantly leading the charge.

I enjoyed the chemistry between Timur and Ashe. Feehan found just the right balance between over-protective, alpha maleness and a strong female who knows just how to push his buttons and ignite the story into overdrive.

Protecting his family is Timur’s one purpose in life until he has to determine is Ashe in the enemy even though she calms the beast roaring inside him. Ashe Bronte can’t make any mistakes, but Timur has ignited something deep within her.

This pulse pounding and explosive shifter romance is wicked and wild with strong, bold characters that demand readers’ attention and refuse to let go. The romance between Timur and Ashe is hot and spicy as her inner leopard awakens but the relationship has a few obstacles to be overcome, some of which are emotional which brings these characters to life as it gives depth that readers can easily connect to and some of which are outside influences that cause lots of chaos and strife. Readers can’t help but fall for any of the Leopard shifters in this series as they are dark, alpha men with hidden depths that tugs at heartstrings and Timur certainly fits that description with a capital T while Ashe is a feisty and daring feline that has lots of appeal.

The Amurov brothers’ enemies are closing in from all directions and if they don’t discover just who they all are they just might lose not only everything they’ve worked for but those they hold dear and Readers won’t want to miss a thing during this fast paced and smooth flowing plot that is full of explosive action and thrilling suspense. The story is further enhanced as betrayals are revealed and surprising twists keeps the characters on their toes. Once again, this fascinating and pulse pounding series entertains readers and ensures that they want to re-read these books often.

LEOPARD'S RUN showcases Christine Feehan's storytelling ability at its very, very best.

If you are looking for a fierce, overprotective, demanding leopard shifter; a woman who knows how to handle herself in a fight; danger, intrigue, secrets, lies, and truth with a really steamy, can't catch your breath, romance woven throughout the pages then LEOPARD'S RUN is exactly what you need.

Ashe has vengeance in mind when she reconnects with a friend. But her plan backfires when she meets Timur.
Leopard’s Run is the latest in Christine Feehan’s Leopard series. I love Timur and I was ecstatic that Ms. Feehan decided he was next to find his happily ever after. Timur has always been his brother’s shield and now that protection extends to his sister-in-law. But her new hire is hiding secrets…secrets that can get them all killed. I love that Timur made no effort to hide who he is or his priorities. Even though meeting Ashe throws him and his leopard for a loop. I love that even off balance Ms. Feehan kept Timur true to character. And Ashe was perfect for him. She has a plan but when her plans bring more danger than she anticipated she tries to rectify her error. I love that Ashe is honorable even in her vengeance. I love that Ms. Feehan gave Timur a female that could accept what he was even as she is unsure if she can with the restrictions loving him will place on her. I love that she give Timur a bit of peace.
This story is well written by Ms. Feehan. The characters felt real and their emotions believable. I loved returning to this world and can’t wait to see where Ms. Feehan will take us next.
