Interesting compilation of stories, not for the faint hearted with very strong sexual content. Be warned. I found a couple of the stories a bit too much and had to skip s couple of pages. Ok if it’s your cup of tea.

I was grateful to receive a free copy of Displays of Experience in exchange for an honest review. Over the years, I have read many different erotica books, and this was by far the most obscene and vulger erotica with some really dark scenes. As a mature reader I was ok with this darker erotica, but it may not be for everyone. There were scenes with urine, overweight, stinky men, degradation, public humiliation, etc. This was definitely a unique read, and if dark erotic is your "thing'" then I would recommend this book.

I understand that these books are short stories but does that then mean they don’t need to have a story line behind them? Just abusive sex.
I like erotica but some of these stories pushed it way to far and others were just disgusting. And the rest were good.
Very mixed feelings about this book. But I will not be reading it again or buying it.

I understand the appeal of losing control, but all of these stories are a bit....rape-y.

This book is a collection of short stories- Yes the stories are of a erotic nature but I personally felt that there was lack of an actual story.

Well written book, but very strong and not for the faint of heart. At times not easy to read, as the very peculiar tastes from the author not always (almost never?) match mine.
Proceed with caution and at your own risk, you have been warned, but if you persevere you will surely find some strong emotions there. Of which kind, you'll be the judge.

Loved the writing, very crisp and clear. The plot was great and the characters were believable. Very hot and steamy read.

This is a collection to steamy stories centred mainly around either force or humiliation so if these themes offend you then this isn’t the book for you but I found it a titilating read with a nice mix of stories.

This feels like a collection of readers true stories of how they have been forced to engage in acts for others pleasure but found themselves enjoying the experience regardless.

This is a collection of steamy short reads. I found the stories interesting and the sex scenes steamy but need more of a story. Just okay.

The stories are a bit boring. The starts are great but the ending just not work. The words are boring and clumsy. Didn't really finish the book, takes too much effort to push myself to.

Lucy Golden is the best I've ever read in psychological tension and suspense in the area of BDSM erotic fiction. This series of stories in "Displays of Experience" reads like a study on sexual tension, even to the extremities of desire, power and fear where pleasure is satisfied. I can't recommend this book more for sheer enjoyment of the most dangerous sexual desires.

This is strong stuff and you should be prepared that this is not recommended practice. However as an artistic study, this is where serious writing ability meets sexual desire, you will not find better. I highly recommend this book.

Sorry I had to DNF this book....now I have no problem with the Erotica genre but 1...I like my erotica to have a bit of a story line and 2. The actual Erotica isn’t abuse....I read two of these stories and in each of them girls got sucked into things that were out of their comfort zone, painful and or embarrassing for the pleasure of someone else....but it’s ok as they come to enjoy it!!!!! NO JUST NO!
