Short and quick insta-lust story, exactly as stated, Becca is fairly immature, wanting to have a real relationship but sleeping with the guys she dates almost before the dinner is over. Adam is bright and attractive, but somewhat of a prick - arrogant and prideful. These two together have plenty of spark and sass.

I received a copy of PRIVATE PRICK on Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to the publisher and author.

Five stars and here's why:

PRIVATE PRICK is so much fun to read. Seriously. Ember Cole packed quite a punch with this sexy novella.

Bekka and Adam have chemistry in spades. She’s down on love after she discovers her hook-up is actually engaged. Bekka accidentally gets stuck in an elevator and Adam comes to her rescue. What happens next will knock your socks off. Seriously. Great read. I devoured this book in one sitting.

If you love sexy guys, sassy girls, and a side of sexy, then this book is for you! Highly recommend!

I'm upset. Angry. Frustrated. All of the feelings that go along with that.

Okay. I'm reading this book. Awesome. Loving it. Really into the story. I'm almost 60% done and I'm excited to get more of this relationship. Great.

I got 60% and what?! "Epilogue."

This story wasnt enough. It was lacking something in my opinion. I couldn't bring myself to give higher than 3 stars. I was living it but then the ending hit and it was just rushed and didn't feel authentic.

Then add in the fact the last 40% OF THE ARC was the first book, which we learned nearly every important detail in during the second book.

So overall, I ws highly disappointed by the end of this book.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley to read in exchange for a fair review. Private Prick by Ember Cole is the second novella in her Carnal Mischief series. Can be read as a stand-alone. It’s published by Entangled Publishing LLC and is one of their One Handed Reads. Business Student Becca Zoler is having the worst day of her life. She meets her landlord’s son Adam Black who is the superintendent of her apartment building when he drops in to calm her down after she gets claustrophobic while stuck in a broken down elevator. Lots of hot steamy sex ensues. Publishing Date July 9, 2018 #NetGalley #PrivatePrick

Fast-paced and steamy read. Bekka is having a bad day just made worse by the fact that she is trapped in an elevator and Adam climbs down to claim her and wait for the repair people. Sparks fly. Hot and entertaining read. I liked it.

I didn't dislike this book but I didn't really overly like it either. It just seemed like sex scenes without enough of an actual storyline. It was really short too...I wish it was longer and contained more non-sex scenes. Overall I just feel kinda 'meh' about this one.

Bekka has not been having much luck with men and her latest experience is no different. Her evening goes from bad to worse when she gets stuck in the elevator in her building.

Adam is the manager of the building that his father owns. When he finds out about Bekka’s predicament and he comes through the ceiling and things start to heat up while they wait to be rescued. Was this a momentary lapse or the start of something more?

This is a quick and sexy read but I would have liked a little more of a storyline. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Bekka needs to get over a cheating, lying ex and erase his memory. When her secret obsession with the man in her building finds her face to face with him in a stuck elevator all bets are off.

Can she finally erases the horrible past and discover if her wicked fantasies are just that, a fantasy or will he live up to her wildest dreams?

If Adam gives in to his secret desires for Bekka will it be more than a one-night fling?

It's about to get hot and exciting when these two residents discover they both burn for each other.

While this is the second installment in Ember Cole's series it can be read as a standalone.

Private Prick is a super quick hot read.
With hot sex and humor, Ember Cole killed it again.
I'm completely enjoying these Insta lust romances Ember Cole is pumping out.
Can't wait for the next one.

This was another great novel in the Carnal Mischief series! It has characters who are extremely relatable and who are well developed to be individuals. The plot is also something that actually seems plausible but the only problem I have is that I felt like this relationship developed much faster than that of the first novel. However, that doesn't take away from the fact that this is a great quick read. For some reason, I didn't connect with this book as much I did with the first one. Maybe that's just because the first one intrigued me just a little more but I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance/erotica novels or those who enjoyed the first book. I can't wait to get my hands on Ember Cole's next book! 4.5/5 stars.

1.5 Not For Me Stars

Private Prick was my first book by Ember Cole and it really didn't work for me. The first few pages in I felt like something was off. It felt awkward. But I pressed on wanting to give this book a fair try. It never really got better for me. I had to force myself to finish it. I didn't hate it but I didn't like it. Adam was okay for me. Nothing special but okay. Bekka on the other hand took this book from boring to annoying in 5 seconds flat. She was just so stupid. She was like "I'm trying to find a real connection, but all I find is losers!" She was going around sleeping with, and having oral sex with men within minutes of meeting them and she was surprised that they hit it and quit it? Trying to find the real thing on Tinder... really? Don't go looking for a man at a bar and be shocked if you find a alcoholic. I'm totally cool if you want to go out and have sex for the enjoyment of it. But don't go handing your shit out like it's gum and then be all like "All I find is dogs? Where are all the real men?"

Bekka came off immature like a high school girl trying to play like a grown woman. Oh and she was a bitch. At least She had condoms. Score one for safe sex. Still it's hard to feel bad for a woman that was upset that her "boyfriend" had a fiancée when she was five minutes into meeting the hero in the elevator, and she was letting him go down on her. Other than the absurdity of Bekka and her boyfriend issues, the book felt forced and rushed. I didn't feel a connection between the H&H nor did I personally feel a connection to the book. It kinda came off like a awkward porno where the plumber comes to fix the pipes and gets his "pipe" clean instead. It was a bit cheesy at times.

Than after going on about not being able to find a good guy she slept with Adam(a good guy) and then told him to get out they can't date. I wonder why she can't find a nice guy? Is it because she is a stupid bitch? Yes it is! I don't know if you can tell but I couldn't stand Bekka.. I'm sorry but I didn't like this book. I may try this author again. I believe I have a second ARC book for her but this one was a miss for me.

Seriously, who goes on Tinder looking for happily ever after? I've never gone the Tinder route, but from what I understand, no one's on there looking for a relationship. So why is it that Bekka used the app almost religiously, but was surprised not to find true love? I found it hard to connect with her character. I didn't dislike her, but I didn't like her either. I got that she was a young adult, but she seemed to be struggling with what it meant to be an adult. Sleeping around with a lot of men did not an adult make.

As for the male protagonist, Adam, I think his character came off a bit more clearly. It was easier to understand his perspective and feel something for him. I wasn't a raving fan of his either, but that was due to not really getting the opportunity to know what made him... him. These characters lacked depth, Bekka most of all, and so I was heavily relying on the plot to really sell this story. I'm not sure it worked.

This story was read really quickly. All events happened over the span of days. This couple went from an antagonistic greeting (Bekka) to a happy-to-meet-you love fest to an emotional rejection to a happy for now ending. Somehow, despite its one-dimensional characters and uninspired plot, this book was written really well. That was one of the first things I noticed actually. It was written by someone who knew what they were doing and it showed.

In all honesty, I wasn't a fan of this story but I can see how someone else would love it. There was a preview of the previous book included at the end and I think that one was more my speed. I was more captivated by that glimpse than I was by this entire book. So I'll be reading that one for sure!

3.5 Stars

If you like instalust stories, then Private Prick is a smutty, short read that is right up your alley.

I felt like this book was more secure than substance. I don’t feel like I got to know Bekka or Adam very well, and not because this was a shorter book. They just spent so much time doing it! I wanted more of their relationship, I guess. I also don’t quite get the title, because i didn’t really find Adam to be a prick.

This is a stand-alone within the Carnal series; but I just felt kind of “meh” about this story and don’t think i will seek out the other two in the series.

I received an advanced copy via NetGalley and the publisher and voluntarily left a review.

The second book in the Carnal Mischief series is just as hot as the first. It features two crazy restless young people who fit perfectly together. It is filled with steamy scenes that will leave you wanting for more.

As far as insta love books go this one was really good. It started out great actually but I felt it lacked depth during the pivotal “fight/makeup” scenes. I didn’t feel like Bella actually knew what she wanted even after talking to Kymber which made the makeup scene feel almost fake on her part.
Adam I loved through the whole book, he was sweet and very easy to love.

There really didn't seem to be much character building. It was all about the sex, Which is fine but it took me by surprise. I really didn't expect there to be a plot built around trying to get the characters to have as much sex as possible, It was a good read for what it was but there really wasn't any substance to it.

And she does it again! In the same building complex, now Bekka Zoler gets her story. and a good one! I absolutely adooore Adam and I wished, begged and hoped for a story with Adam in it; seems like I've been in luck. Another quick, kinky and veerrryy satisfying story.

Sizzling and so hot this was a quick read about a girl who is broken hearted and a guy who always get what he wants. I loved the intensity of this book it was fabulous like Ember know how to do! I do wish that it was longer tho.

Bekka just found out that her boyfriend has a fiancee ... so I guess that is ex-boyfriend now. On her way home she gets stuck in the elevator of her building and she has a melt down ... a kicking, screaming at her ex kinda melt down. Then all of a sudden Adam (the owner's son and super) is in the elevator with her trying to calm her down. And the only way he can think to calm to down is to kiss her and ... more.

This is a very short book, but boy is it erotic! Good think that elevator didn't have a camera in it ... lol! This book will make you laugh and Adam will make you swoon. Will he be the guy of Bekka's dreams?

Private Prick was a quick, fun, sexy and extremely flirty read. That had two great characters, plenty of heat and a storyline that's quick to grab hold and not let go. And I enjoyed reading it a lot. Plus, it can easily be read as a standalone even though the characters are connected to those from Stiff Discipline.
