This was a sweet & quick read. Looking forward to more from Erin Bevan!

Recently divorced and down on her luck, Lesley DeLoach is determined to make a new life for herself. When she inherits her great aunt’s estate, Rosalyn Manor, her future seems to be heading in the right direction—until she sees the home’s crumbling skeleton.

Widower John Hambrice is barely keeping his construction company afloat and his children fed, so when he’s offered a job restoring the Rosalyn Manor he can’t turn it down. But the big city client with the high falutin lifestyle reminds him too much of the last time he was burned by big money.

As the summer temperatures rise, so does their attraction. He learns there’s more to the city girl than he expected, while she learns the country boy’s gruff exterior hides a heart of gold.

But each has lost so much in love already…is the chance of another broken heart worth the risk?

This is a really good sweet read and I really enjoyed it. This is John and Leslie's story both of these are struggling to move past their loses him being widowed and her the end of her marriage. I have to admit it took a little bit to get into this one but once it picked up I was hooked it was well written and had a good storyline. I liked that they took there time and were friends first. A really sweet read.

Lesley walked out on her husband when she caught him with another woman and still feels raw from it, so when her aunt Myrtle dies and leaves her her old manor house she is all ready for a new start....... until she arrives and sees the state of it! John is a contractor who's wife died and left him with 2 young children to bring up and with the legacy of her hospital bills to be paid....... so he really needs the job of doing up the manor! Can the two of them get over their initial prejudices against each other and work together..... and maybe the sparks will fly!

An enjoyable light read, I liked the main characters and a little bit of mystery thrown in with Myrtles secret past and so there was a good storyline

Love Comes in the Mourning is a well written romance. I enjoyed the plot, characters and the author's writing. The author is new to me and I anticipate reading more of her books. I recommend this book.
