A good start to what could turn out to be an absolutely brilliant 5 book series. The premise is good and the twists were difficult to predict which is unusual in most books these days. I thought that Issy was daft not to try to get on with her dragon more because - hello - who wouldn't want to talk to their dragon? :)
I'm very much looking forward to the rest of this series.

I love Reverse harem books so when I saw this one on Netgalley, I quickly grabbed a copy! Besides, a reverse harem book with dragons? Yes, please!

Let me start by saying that I really enjoyed this book. I will be reading the next one for sure.

We follow Isola, an Ice dragon and a princess to the dragon kingdom. She's been kept away for ten years on Earth and when a rebellion threatens everything, she has to go back.

The fact that she was supposed to take the throne at eighteen when she almost doesn't know anything about her kingdom was kinda weird to me, especially since her father was still alive but I guess it's some sort of tradition? I don't know.

Also, if it wasn't for (view spoiler) I would have been a little disappointed by that ending. I wasn't shocked by the big revelation. It's probably because we learn what's going to happen in the prologue. We just don't know who's responsible. I had my suspicions and it seems they were correct.

Overall, this was a really entertaining read and I am curious to read the rest of the series!

Thank you to the publisher for letting me read and review this book.

this book was very good. The chapters were short and to the point, so I kept telling myself one more chapter before I knew it I was halfway done.

I really enjoyed the mixture of worlds from human to magical. I also absolutely adore the idea of human and dragons being one. Plus sprinkle in royalty, curses, and a good dose of sexiness and this book was a page-turner.

One of the good points of this books is you get a lot of history and backstory to the characters which I am guessing will come in handy in the future installments.

As for characters I like that Isola was strong yet fragile. Being the last of her kind she was very relatable and lovable. She is a princess and the last of her kind an Ice Dragon.

Then you have her guards and friends they are fire dragons and very handsome from the description we are given. I liked that we got a mixture of personalities and that the guys were not only hot but caring and intelligent.

What can I say this book is a must-read. After all, it's filled with magic, adventure, suspense, and Dragons. Need I say more.

Isola is a ice dragon shifter the last of her line. When her mother is killed her father the king sends her to earth to hide with Jace (her consort) amongst humans. The war finds her and Jace is killed. Her father the king takes her home to Dragca Academy where she is given 4 guards who are fire dragons. The attempts on her life come quickly she must rely on her guards to train and save her life. A cliff hanger ending appears. Who is the traitor?
This dragon story takes its time to get going and for you to take to the characters. There is a lot of suppressed passion between Isola and her guards which cannot be taken further due to the curse.
This story feels to be laying the groundwork for future stories which you may enjoy more.
I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I thought this book was great! I loved how there was a newer twist on a moving into adulthood drama. The story built relationships with the men so well and I can't wait to read more!

WOW!!! This was an emotional roller-coaster with a twist I didn't see coming.

Isola is a princess who's future seems decided until one day the safety net she had on earth is torn away. She is thrust into a war where not everyone is who they seem. Outcast, feared and hated by many she is guarded by 4 of the strongest Dragon Guards. Soon she discovers that there is a curse on the guards and that not everything is fair in this dragon kingdom.

While trying to learn about her world and the curse she finds herself developing feelings for each of her guards, and putting them all at risk. Can she develop a working relationship with her dragon and can she keep all of her guards safe from the enemy that stalks her?

Watching the romance between the main characters was amazing and takes the reader on an adventure. While they all struggle with their roles, its great to see Issy smash their misconceptions. Their journey is unique as only a reverse harem can be but tender and believable. I loved every moment of this.
That being said this is not a closed case sweet romance. There are forces at work to betray them all and they will fight for their very essence of who they are. The suspense and the ending twist rocked me, I did not see that coming, and I loved being taken unaware.

I received a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

I want to thank the author and the Netgalley website for this partnership.

I was immediately attracted by the cover we see the beautiful Isola with a dragon rather angry next to her.

Isola thought she had a future when the war threatened her home. She will return to the land of the dragon world and to the Dragca Academy which she knows nothing about it at all. The four guardians of the dragon protect her until the day she accidentally kills most of her class the first week.

A series that deserves to be known, translated to have a maximum of readers. I loved this first volume the character of Isola is very endearing the story captivating, moving with full of suspense and twists. I hate to read the rest of the story, especially since I saw at the end of the book that there would be five books in all.

One sitting read. Love the ice vs fire in the story. The development of the relationship(s) of Isola and her guardians was well done. It had enough build-up that it wasn't an instant relationship with each of them. Twist at the end I didn't see coming, I thought it was someone else. Prophecy is of course vague but I still tried to figure it out. Really enjoyed the tree spirit in the story even though it was a small part. Hope she becomes more in the next one. Cliff hanger ending. Looking forward to the next one in this series.

Let me put it out there first that I like this book even if it’s a YA because no angst feast. You feel, see, understand the main character’s emotional state even without the angst. That alone is the reason I did not put down the book when I realized how young the main character is.
The next is that created world. The myths are the same - dragons and magic - but they are presented in a new view that is believeable without too much of a leap of faith.
Note: This ends in a cliffhanger.

This alternate universe romance is suitable for Young Adults. It has clever character delineation and uses the setting of school, in two different worlds, to inform us about the many races inhabiting those worlds.

Isola has a warm heart and is learning in the nick of time how to control her talents as an Ice Dragon, in order to take her place as heir to her father's throne. In the human world where she was hidden away after her mother's death, she could get by with ignoring her dragon side, but it comes back to bite her in major ways! And things she took for granted as a small child turn out to be nearly useless in the face of complete magical rebellion unfolding.

Though labeled as 'reverse harem', the attraction that the characters feel is strictly under wraps in this introductory volume. Part of the struggle is deciding which of her own instincts to trust, including the erotic instinct. Isola has an unusual number of talents and is destined to change all her worlds as she grows into them all..

This is a fast paced paranormal romance reverse harem book that ends in a cliffhanger. I finished reading this book but it was a struggle. There was not a cohesive circle the characters came in to sporadically with no reason.

The whole time I was betting on the stupid Uncle to screw things up, but no it was Thorne!

I really loved this book, it was fast paced and easy to read. The characters were sexy and fun. The plot completely caught me by surprise, when I thought I figured it out completely.

Oh man Elias and Dagan are so sexy...

Thank you so much Bailey for creating such sexy men, because holy crap I can’t get over them.

The only thing I would have liked more is expanding the plot. I would have liked more time with the characters, but I will get that with the series. Since this is the first book of the series there needs to be more time spent capturing each moment, because you’re introducing the characters. I would have liked to see more of that, and more of the history behind the dragons and Isola. Other than that I really loved that.

Once again I want to thank NetGalley for this opportunity they have given me to review such a lovely book.

Cheers lovelies.

Thanks to NetGalley and G. Bailey for the opportunity to read this book for free in exchange for an honest review...and I am pretty sure G. Bailey just got a new avid fan and follower!

Isola Dragice is heir to the throne of ice and fire, not to mention one of the last ice dragons. Fire dragons and their fire rebellion aim to assassinate her and bring fire to the throne over centuries of an ice ruler. On Earth, it was assumed that she might be safe from all that, but the murder of her mate brings her back to Dragca where she has four fire dragons protecting her...and falling for her! But a curse on the ice throne prevents Isola from being able to love her dragon guard!

Overall, I really enjoyed this novel and am definitely going to be reading the next one. The grammar bothered me in many instances, but the story was so fun, fast-paced, and exciting that those mechanical things were easily looked over after the first couple of chapters. The reverse harem (one girl in the interest of three or more guys) is interesting for female readers who are into love triangles...or squares...pentagon? The main male characters appeal to different interests that a woman might have (the nice guy, the bad boy, etc.) which is fun and give the reader an easy favorite depending on their preference. Advised for readers 18+. There are many sexual innuendos and references, although sex itself was not present in this novel, which was disappointing, but it's also the first book. I am hoping, being recommended 18+, that things will become more adult in material as the series progresses. This is the first time I have read something of G. Bailey's and I am definitely interested in not only the rest of this series, but after some research, some of the author's other series' as well, which definitely have an appeal for my age and gender.

Great read. The characters and story are great. It has some great twists and turns. Readers will be drawn into the story from the first page.

A interesting idea in need of an editor. There are too many things in the story that don't make sense. Not the magical made up stuff, but the mundane. The story didn't seem properly fleshed out. Isola and her dragons are ok characters. I wish there had been a clear villain and conflict. I think it would've helped Isola seem less whiney and more justifiably fearful for her life and future. I also wish there had been more world building. For all it's potential there wasn't enough to inspire me to read any further in this series.

great book, can´t wait to read the next in this series. A perfect combination of two worlds and kingdoms.

This was . . . not to my taste. I found the worldbuilding to be incoherent, to the point where I had to double-check that this wasn't a later book in the series. Characters were thinly-drawn, and the dialogue needed a lot of work; nobody had a distinctive 'voice' and the characters often seemed to blur together. Without strong characters I couldn't care about the protagonist's fate, and the romance failed to gel. I had trouble keeping to the plot, which seemed to veer wildly around with little driving force behind it.

This read like a first draft, not a complete, polished novel.

This story just wasn’t for me, it jumped from one time to another and I just couldn’t keep up, the heroine Isola was not a favorite of mine either.

This was a fun, entertaining read! I really enjoyed it!! This was my first read from this author, and I definitely hope to read more of this author soon.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

OMFG why did I wait too read this book. Once I started reading I didn’t want to put my kindle down. Between curses and sexy dragons and trying to figure out who turned Isola’s world upside down, I was hooked. I’m dying to read book 2 because I need to know what’s going too happen next.
