This is a cute book for toddlers about a little fish who has an adventurous day. He does all sorts of things like sunning himself before returning home to bed, watching the stars. The illustrations are simple and colourful. Short sentences accompany the illustrations and my two year old granddaughter loved it. We read it over several times until she was finishing the sentences herself. A great little story that would be perfect for bedtime. The Kika's First Books series, first published in Italian, is celebrating its 40th anniversary and have been translated into English for more children to enjoy. The publisher, Xist Publishing, generously provided me with a copy of this book to read. The rating, ideas and opinions are my own.

Swim Little Fish is a good book for a very little one. It is short with a few words on each page. The book tells the simple story of a fish taking a short journey and some of the things it sees along the way. It's cute, not very complex, and ideal for a young one.

This is a very nice short bedtime story for a baby or someone up to about 18 months old. This is also a cute book for an older sibling that is just learning to read to read to a younger sibling.

Adorable story with beautiful illustrations

Loved this children’s picture book! The illustrations and the words are perfect for young children. I’d never heard of Altan, but I can see why his books are popular in Italy. Bright colors, very clear attractive pictures, and a short, sweet story. There’s enough story and situations that there can be some good discussions about how fish live in different habitats, how sea stars (starfish) are different than stars in the sky, etc., or you can just stick with the sweet bedtime story. This is definitely a book children will enjoy having repeated.

Swim, Little Fish displayed beautifully on a Fire tablet, Kindle for iPad, and Kindle for iPhone. It’s best viewed in landscape mode to display the pages at the largest size possible. Highly recommended.

A small red fish does un-fish things like jumping out of the water and getting a tan before returning to its home in a seashell, getting into bed and looking out the window at the sea full of stars.
Big bright drawings show this book is meant for the littlest of kids than can understand what they’re seeing. It’s cute enough, though if you get kids too old for this they’ll ask why fish are doing human things.

This was a cute starter board book. It is suited for babies. and small toddlers. Very colorful pictures. Simple text.

This was a perfect read for my 3 year old to listen to. The pictures are amazing and it’s just long enough to hold her attention. The story itself is very cute!

For the 40th anniversary, Kika's First Books are releasing the English translation of their children's books originally released in Italian. Swin Little Fish was originally published in 1992. This is a very cute book to read to small children, at home or in a classroom setting. It is also a great book for children just learning to read. There are minimal words in the book and on each page. Some words are in a bigger font, which can assist in teaching children these words. The images are super cute will be enjoyed by children.
