A cute little story that is both English and Spanish. A great starter for beginning readers, especially with the added element of Spanish.

Very cute children's story about Annabel and her cat and all the things they like to do together. I especially loved that it's bilingual English/Spanish.

What is most interesting about Annabel and Cat is that it is the bilingual edition. The words are written in both English and Spanish to help young readers learn both languages. The pictures clearly illustrate what the words say, which is helpful when trying to read in either language.

The story is simplistic - adventures of Annabel and Cat throughout the seasons. However, I'd recommend this book for the bilingual edition, rather than the story line. The story is enough to keep a little kid interested, but the focus should be on the two languages. I'd recommend this book for little ones (ages 1-2) to just read in one language. However, as the children get older and are learning to read in multiple languages (ages 5 or so), I'd recommend it as well.

This is a simple, sweet book about a young girl and her cat. They do all sorts of things together throughout the year. The English text is paired with Spanish on each page. The illustrations are also simple, colourful and engaging for little ones. A great book for an ESL classroom or children trying to learn Spanish. Simple text will also be good for young readers who are learning to read. My grandchildren enjoyed the simple story and started telling me things they did with their cat. A good conversation starter. The publisher, Xist, generously provided me with a copy of this book.

This children's story was really cute! Annabel and Cat love to do various activities together throughout the year. You can see the seasons change by the activities they do. The pictures were really cute too and I loved how they had the words in English and Spanish. My husband lived in a Spanish speaking area and spoke Spanish regularly for two years before we were married so it will be a fun book for them to read together and help them learn a bit of the language as well.

Sweet story about a girl and her cat

The stylized illustrations are the crowning touch of this simple story about how Annabel and Cat like to spend their days. They are best friends who enjoy doing everything together, from pretend plays to crafts, from playing outside to going to the library. There’s never any end to the good times they share. Sometimes you get to choose your family. The illustrations really open up the interpretation of the story for a lot of additional imagination time. Bilingual families or teachers and parents who want to open up a second language for beginning and young readers will find this book useful and enjoyable. Very sweet, very fun. Highly recommended.

The simplest of drawings help tell the story of. . . well, look at the title. On the opposite page is a description in both English and Spanish. The Cat is right there with Annabel as far as activities go, from putting on plays to arts and crafts, from making snowmen to eating pancakes to going to the library. Other than the wall shadows and the safari, there isn’t anything here that would have been different had Annabel been on her own, but then it wouldn’t be as cute.

This story is about what Annabel and her cat love to do together. Things like catching fireflies at night, going to the library, and dressing in costumes and going Trick-or-Treating. It is a cute story that is great to read to children at home or in the classroom. The extra nice part of this book is that the words on the page are in English and Spanish. You can read the book in either language, or you can use this book to help teach whichever language the reader or listener does not comprehend. The illustrations are simple and cute.

Short and cute with simple illustrations that will appeal to toddlers and pre-K girls. Each spread shows Annabel and her cat enjoying daily activities and having fun playing together. English text appears above Spanish text.

This children's book give a day in the life of a little girl named Annabel and her pet cat. Written in English with a translation in Spanish. It's the perfect nighttime story to read to children who are learning Spanish in addition to English. The scenarios that Annabel acts out present good vocabulary for an early learner.
