I can never get enough apocalyptic stories, when I saw this book on NetGalley I jumped at the chance to read it.

From page one the book grabbed my attention and held it. I liked the idea of being trapped in a superstore (honestly, who wouldn't want to be stuck in Wal-mart if something catastrophic happened? I know I would!).

I liked the different characters in the book.

What a great ending, I really want to know what happens in book 2!

Thank you to Feiwel & Friends and NetGalley for my e-galley!

I won't be able to leave a review for this book; I requested it in a past lifetime of my NetGalley use (over ten years ago) and it no longer fits with my reading interests. If I ever do end up reading it I'll come back and update this!

A classic in YA dystopia! I especially loved how real and visceral and possible this world was, especially in our current climate. Laybourne's writing is also perfect for this kind of gritty, fearful setting.

Phenomenal debut! I adore dystopians, and this world coming to an end YA take was masterfully done. The characters were so real, some I loved, others I hated. But then again...I think the reader is meant to. Absolutely hooked on this and can't wait for bk 2 in the series!
