Heartwarming summer read. I liked this book a lot!
The hero was not a man-ho, he was very protective about the heroine, although not too alpha cave man. He wasn't secure about himself, in army he lost his leg and some fingers. He was an artist.
This story was well written, although I missed hero's point of view.
The heroine was good, she wasn't a doormat, if someone messed with her, she surely answered back!
No OP scenes, no cheating.
It wasn't long neither short. Perfect for summer!

This book was engaging and for those fed up with perfect rich guy something a bit different. Yes he is rich and has a fit body but he also has an amputated leg which has left him uncomfortable with his body although he is still fancied by the women he is not willing to allow any to see him undressed.
I enjoyed this book and was able to emphasise with both Louis and Annabelle as it was so well written. I just wanted a bit more story after they eventually got together.
I was given this book by NetGalley and the publisher. This is my voluntary and impartial review.

Funny romance with lots of smoldering looks. I liked that they helped each other overcome their fears.

This is my first time reading this author and this book appears to be a series. It easily stands alone. It is also very one sided, told from only Annabelle's view point. To be honest I wanted Louis' side and that was what was frustrating about this story.

That said I really enjoyed the story and the characters and it was very well written. Annabelle works for Louis and he is a former soldier who only has one real leg. This has caused him issues with confidence and Annabelle who works for him and who they become besties and then roomates too, has crushed on him awhile. Both have issues with confidence and they lowly work through them.

I enjoyed the story but at times the story dragged and knowing Louis thoughts would have made things move faster and kept me more interested, I did really enjoy the story and characters, I just wanted more action.

Annabelle Shay worked with painter and gallery-owner Louis Dumont for a few months. They have a very nice, friendly relationship. And she can’t help but fall in love with him - how can she not? He’s a keeper - sweet, thoughtful and a talented artist. She didn’t know if it was a good thing that he didn’t know what she’s feeling. Nevertheless, falling in love with your boss is not really a good idea.

After being wounded and losing parts of him in Afghanistan, Louis only concentrated on his painting. He didn’t have time or the will to be with a woman, until Annabelle Shay strutted into his life.

They were so good and comfortable together, so when Annabelle loses her home, it was only fitting for him to invite her to stay with him. It doesn’t stop there, to warned off unwarranted attention, he offered himself to be her pretend-husband as well that had Annabelle’s heart thumped in disbelief, hopefulness and glee. But is he just joking? Or are they really going to get married?

I like them, they are good together - the banter is super fun, and entertaining. I was glad that Louis finally got rid of his insecurities, and Annabelle not pushing him to his limits. It was a short, sweet read.

I received a copy of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley.

Annabelle has worked as gallery manager for Louis, an artist, for the last six months and is hiding the fact that she is in love with him. Then her lease ends suddenly and he invites her to move in with him. Even the blurb for this novel uses the word "cliche", but while there was nothing particularly original about the plot, it was nevertheless enjoyable. Louis is sweet and funny, and Annabelle (from whose perspective the narrative is told) is likeable and competent. There is no conflict and, apart from a burglary which occurs towards the end, little by way of real plot, but it was still an entertaining read.

OH MY GAWD, I ADORE THIS SERIES. Like, seriously. I thought James and Topher were awesome. I thought Ham and Leah were sweetly cute. AND NOW WE HAVE LOUIS AND ANNABELLE. *draws glittery hearts around all three of the couples*

Now, Louis and Annabelle weren't as adorably opposite as the other two couples. In fact, they fit remarkably well together even before they fit together in the physical sense. Louis can be dramatic and relentless when he wants something. Annabelle is conscientious when it comes to her job, but she still has a bit of a wild streak that complemented Louis's dramatics. (Not that he was overly dramatic, he was just very artsy. As in, with an artsy personality. What? It worked for him.)

Just so we're clear, their lack of oppositedness doesn't mean they don't have hurdles to clear. Louis is self-conscious about the injuries that took his leg. Annabelle is trying REALLY HARD not to let on she has a massive crush of her boss. Which is all thrown out the window one tipsy night, but those things happen, amirite?

Anywho. Louis is flirty and adorable. Annabelle is sassy and protective of the man who makes her heart go pitter-patter. I kinda loved them together and I'm so sad this is the final book in the series. (At least that's what I assume seeing as all three of the men have now found their special someone.) That said, I've loved all the books in this series and I'm perpetually down for a reread of any and all of them.
