This one was very cute. I liked that both Mason and Tess seem to be at a crossroads in their lives. Mason realizing that he needs to change his life, to be more real, while Tess is striving to find her place in life. I loved that they both got to do this together, the dogs were just an extra bonus. Bonding over a misbehaving dog was a great way to met, even if Tess lost something in the process. I liked Mason tried to return the favor for Tess and how he tried to replace what was lost.

John Ronald was awesome! I loved how he was able to save some lives and how he brought Mason and Tess closer. The chapters from his point of view were great! It gave a person hope.

I didn't mind that Mason was hiding who he was from Tess. I can only imagine how heady of a feeling it would be to be liked for yourself, not what you do. I was glad that Tess got over things quickly.

The ending had me smiling, it was the perfect move for Tess and Mason.

My Forever Home by Debbie Burns is the 3rd book in her Rescue Me series. Once again Debbie Burns gives us a wonderful sweet story that is based around an animal shelter, with a sweet couple and a fantastic dog.
Tess Grasso, our heroine, has always loved animals, and was planning to be a vet, but things changed, as she wanted to do something more. Tess is wonderful with the animals, knowing how to handle them in all kinds of situations and her knowledge and love for them shows.
Mason Redding is our hero, and we meet him when he is walking his friend’s dog, and notices a stray dog that seems to be following him. When the dog escapes, it is Tess who happens upon the scene and manages to retrieve the dog. In a short time, a friendship develops between Mason and Tess, which will turn into a slow build sweet romance.
Mason wants badly to find the stray dog, who he plans to adopt, and has already named him John Ronald. Tess and Mason will begin their search, and when they finally find him, it becomes emotional as John Ronald tries to bring them to some puppies whose mother died, and they are sadly near death. But Tess will spend the night at the shelter, and they will all work overtime to save their lives. Very sweet.
Mason knows he is falling for Tess, but he has a secret that he must tell her before he expresses his feelings. Mason is a pro baseball player, who is currently on the injured list, and has kept this a secret from Tess, as she does not follow baseball. He enjoys being with Tess, and no one knowing how famous he has become. When Tess discovers the truth, will this ruin their relationship?

I love this series, which spends much of the time with the shelter, and the wonderful dogs or cats they have rescued; it is heartwarming to watch how much they all care about the animals. The romance between Tess and Mason was sweet, and I really liked them together, and loved how John Roland played a part in bringing them together. It was also cute to have a few POV’s in John Roland’s thoughts.
What follows is a wonderful sweet slow build romance between Tess and Mason. This was a wonderful sweet romance, with the shelter family and animals as a major part of the story.

Debbie Burns gives us another wonderful, delightful, sweet, heartwarming story that kept us hooked until the very end. My Forever Home was a beautiful and heartwarming story, as we fell in love with the couple, the secondary characters and all the dogs/cats, especially John Ronald. Mason and Tess romance was pure and sweet, and blended so well into the story. My Forever Home was well written by Debbie Burns. If you love animals, with a romance in the background, you need to read this book.

If there ever was a thought provoking story that impacts your emotions it is this one. With endearing rescue animals and their touching stories, uniquely multifaceted characters, and written by a gifted story teller who knows how to draw you through and keep you turning the pages, this is a story that is hard to put down. I’ve enjoyed each story in this series and truly hope there are more to come.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

The 3rd book in this series does not disappoint. Tess and Mason's story is an engaging read with real people and problems and as with all the books in this series the cutest dogs (and I'm a cat person). You can go wrong reading this author.

Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

Tess and Mason are a cute couple but the the pups are even cuter! Tess is back from Europe & is trying to set up her dog training & therapy business. She stumbles across Mason one day. He’s suffered a potentially career ending injury & is surprised she has no idea who he is. He enjoys her company due to this. I loved Tess’s grandma. She’s Italian & knows exactly who he is but is matchmaking & keeps it to herself. I enjoyed the storyline with the male dog & the puppies. They were very endearing. This was a cute sweet romance & an entertaining read.

Love any book that's main character is a dog or pet. John Ronald was a fave for sure. His humans put on a good show and a good story. Another winner for Burns

While I liked Mason and Tessa, I loved the dog, John Ronald. Most of his inner dialogue made me smile.
If you are a dog lover, or really just an animal lover, you'll love this book.

This is my first book by this author. I enjoyed the book and it did not interfere with the story at all that I had not read any other of her books that came before this one. Very enjoyable read. Plus, I love puppies, so that plot made me smile. I received a free copy for my review and here it is! Get it, read it, like it!

this is the third book in the Recuse me series by Debbie Burns. I read the first one and saw that Net Galley had the this one available for review. This is part of the series but can be read as a standalone.

I enjoyed it. I really like the shelter and how they care for the animals. This one is about Tess who is back from living in Europe. She was to start a dog trainer/therapy business and goes to work at the shelter. She meets Mason who is walking his neighbor's dog. She seems to be the only person who does not know who he is. The romance is sweet and the dogs sweeter. The writing is very good.

This was a very good book. I am off to get the second one in the series. I will read more books by Debbie Burns

This is the 3rd book in the series. Good but not as great as the previous ones. I like the story of John Ronald's rescue and the puppies more than the actual love story here.

What a sweet, sweet book. It had all the elements you look for in a book you want to just curl up with to read. Tess Grasso (a vet school drop out) has a heart as big as some of the canines she takes care of at an animal shelter, at which she volunteers. She is wonderful at what she does, which makes me wonder "Tess....girl why arent' you going back to school?" But then as I read the book I understood why. All these animals need is someone to love them. The degree a person has or doesnt have will not matter to them. And love them is what Tess does.
Then there is Mason, a famous baseball player and hometown hero come back to recuperate after an accident brought on by too much partying and good life.
Tess and Mason meet over a runaway homeless dog. What ensues is a crazy chase. But then who is actually chasing whom? That's the question, and the rest of the book gives you the answer. It's a merry chase that if full of fun, suprises and laughter.
Some secrets are exposed along the way, some secrets can destroy relationships and some can bring them closer toghether.
Nice story overall.

I love all of Debbie Burns books. It's like keeping up with different people that are friends and family.
Tess Grasso wants to have her own pet therapy business some day. She meets Mason Redding who she doesn't know is a baseball player who is doing rehab from a car accident.
It seems she is the only one that doesn't know who he is.
The reasoning is he wants to be sure she likes him for him not as a groupie.
It has a lot animals in it and you are rooting for each one. There are laugh out loud scenes and it doesn't disappoint you one bit. Thanks for letting me read the arc! I can't wait for the next book in the series!

My Forever Home by Debbie Burns Review.

OMG This book is puptastic!
I'm rating it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The first thing that caught my attention with this book on # NetGalley was the cover, the big fluffy dog, the red coat and the snowy background. I am a sucker for festive romance and pups, so this was a must read.

Whilst the festive season was a background theme and not the main event didn’t put me off as the plot sucked me in from the first page. I had not read book one in the Rescue Me series, but that is on me and my error will soon be rectified.

The characters are multidimensional which, for me, is critical to a good story. Tess has a past, which altered her whole life view. Mason has suffered a possible career altering injury and has become jaded with the world he socialises in. But the character who really makes this book for me is Tess’s grandma, what can I say? She’s Italian LOL.

Oh and not to be left out the star of the show, John Ronald, what a pup! I just wanted to hug the fur off of him, what a character, I could picture him perfectly in my mind whilst reading this book.

A huge thanks to #Netgalley and #SourceBooks

This story is part of the rescue me series I did not read the first two books but I still enjoyed this one the characters Tess and Mason their story was sweet and I loved the dogs in this stories especially John Ronald a stray that Mason just knew was going to be his dog as soon as he caught him.

We also get glimpses into the John’s head. Tess and Mason’s story was a slow burn but I loved that it was written this way and I loved how dedicated Tess was to helping stray dogs at the shelter. This was my first book in this series now I want to read the first two.

I voluntarily received an arc copy of this story for my honest review.

Excellent book! This is the third book in the Rescue Me series and I enjoyed a return visit to the High Grove Animal Shelter. This book, however, is a stand-alone that isn't dependent on the having read the first two books (although I can recommend them as excellent reads as well). This is a touching story of Tess and Mason, with a supporting role by John Ronald, the stray that helps get them together. Getting to read a few glimpses from John Ronald's perspective was a fun touch. I was drawn in to the story from the first page and hated to see it end. I look forward to book #4!

I received an arc from Netgalley. Nice easy read and a love story where one person yearns for the other to know him for himself and not for fame. Both have a heart and love for dogs which is endearing.
