Assassin Games comes across as part of a series of book with the mention of many different characters and past stories that I felt like should know.
Start to finish this book will take readers on a wild ride filled with deep rooted government conspiracy that will keep readers wanting more.
The relationship between Anderson Gratney (Andy) and Carol Sark quick romance with the HEA but the adventure, action and gun battles keeps readers falling in love with Carol over and over again.

Character development is fast paced as the story but the author Sidney Bristol is able to create 3-D characters that come to life popping off the pages until the story ends with a question.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher Entangled Publishing, LLC (Amara) for the advance copy of Sidney Bristol Assassin Games

Wow, I loved this book!!! This is fast paced romantic suspense at it's best. Carol is an analyst for the CIA and Andy is a private contractor for them, when Carol starts looking into some anomalies. Carol's boss tasks Andy with removing Carol from the situation to protect her and assist with her research, expect Carol's never met Andy... What follows is a well crafted novel that kept me turning pages just as quickly as possible.

This novel started with a bang and maintained the pace until the very end. I was sorry when it ended and am already looking forward to the author's next book. The Tarnished Heroes is phenomenal and focuses on a hero who's got some transgressions in his past, but in a complex way that makes for a compelling character that you can't help but fall a bit in love with.

This is a must read for fans of the genre. While part of a series, this is a stand alone novel, however, it's so good that you really owe it to yourself to read them all. The author is on my must read authors' list.

What an action-packed book! I don't typically read romances that involve so much edge-of-your-seat scenes, where you're wondering who's going to get shot next. That's definitely what I got in this book! While the romance took a bit of a back seat for me, with all the action going on around the characters, I still enjoyed reading both pieces - the romance and the crime thriller. Sidney Bristol brought a lot of intriguing aspects to the plot, like CIA conspiracies and hit men, that livened it up and made for a really unique read.

Anderson Gratney kills on command...usually. Hired out as a private contractor for the CIA, he takes care of bad people who need to be taken out. But he only takes out the targets he believes deserves death, and Carol Sark is not one of them. Carol has been helping Andy's small group of coworkers figure out who has been selling their secrets and causing people to die, but she has been discovered and now has a price on her head. Pretending to take on the task of her murder, Andy kidnaps Carol and takes her to a remote location in Switzerland until the real suspects can be found. But he doesn't anticipate developing an intimate relationship with Carol, and when their close quarters makes it impossible to resist, Andy now needs to decide between his current life and what a life with Carol could look like.

The two characters had a lot of depth to them, which made them very realistic but also very hard to read for me as a reader. Neither characters was particularly likable from the start, but as time went on, I began to bond with Andy and Carol. Andy is a dark character, as he kills people for a living, and it's hard to get romantic when there is literally blood on his hands at several points in this book. But his relationship with Carol shows another side to him that you wish would come out a bit more - his love for Carol gives him a human aspect that he is usually careful to keep under wraps. Their romance is slow in developing but has layers to it that romance books may often gloss over to avoid conflict. Instead we see it all as readers, and that's definitely something to cheer about.

If you like crime thrillers and government conspiracy stories, you'll definitely like this book! With a side of romance and a dash of mystery, you'll love where the story takes you.

This book has a lot going on it – many names, many scenarios, who is really the villain. You really have to pay attention to everything to understand what happened and you usually do not figure out what will happen next. That is what I want in romantic suspense – suspense. There are surprises – no giving it away here though. I know there is a first book in this series and I think maybe some of the characters and villains might have been in that book but this book reads well as a standalone (I do have the first book on my wishlist now). Andy and Carol are great characters, especially Carol who is not a wilting flower but a full blown thorn on the stem rose. Oh, and Andy, I want him to protect me – he is an all around nice guy even if he does not think so. I love their “kind of” slow burn romance – does she think he is a good guy or a villain? The story moves at a fast pace so do not blink. It also ends with us not knowing the true villain. Next book? Irene and Mitch?

Anderson is a contract killer for the CIA and he's good at his job. But he won't kill on command unless the person is guilty. His latest assignment is Carol, a CIA analyst. He's going to protect her even though it may be his last assignment. Exciting, nail-biting spy thriller and romance.

To me it started a little slow but then out of nowhere it was such intrigue, mystery, action and suspense. It was so much action that it was like an spy action movie in my head with surround sound and 3D picture i had trouble putting it down to do others things. I would recommend this book to any e who like spy novels mystery and intrigue. One thing i liked about this book is that you see parts from one of the “bad guys” point of few includng knowing their name.normally you would get their p.o.v but still most about them would be hidden. The intrigue in this book was amazing. A lot of mystery and intrigue books are left kind of flat and this was so full it was like a mountain of suspenseful intriguing mystery.

Knowing Carol could get you killed, especially if she goes to you for help. Assassin Games, is full of suspense. I had a hard time putting it down.

Andy needs to work on his wooing skills, “you need to relax. Given that we don’t have medication on hand, that leaves liquor or sex.”He leaned a bit closer, whispering. “You’d just have to unbutton your pants.” Andy loves to surprise his lady, "Andy turned, his smile as easy and relaxed as it’d ever been. “I couldn’t wait,” he said and her insides melted. “Besides, the captain had to get back sooner.” I liked this book, I liked Andy.
