A little different than books I normally read but glad that I asked for it. It was a good read and I would recommend it. I will look for more books by this author.

A romantic suspense taking place on a cruise ship it’s original, unfortunately I thought that Cruising With Danger wasn’t up to par and most of all very repetitive.

We meet Sage, who’s doctor on cruise ships, when she learns that her colleague and senior officer hasn’t died from natural cause but has been killed. Dace, a New Orleans cop, gets on board as a security guard to discretely investigate the members of the health care personnel who used to work with the deceased.

Sage is a former ER doctor who fled her hometown to take shelter on cruise ships because she couldn’t handle anymore the stress that she was dealing with by one-night-stands. So with each stress on board she’s tempted by the hero but refrains because she doesn’t want to fall back into her old ways.
Dace reproaches himself the death of a young teen who was his informant, to the point his chief commanded him to take a holiday or accept this mission on the ship. There’re lots of repetitions here too when he remembers the boy while thinking he should have done something to prevent it.

This novel is the perfect example of instant attraction pushed to extremes. In fact at the very first glance Sage and Dace are attracted to the other to the point of missing parts of the conversations. Their internal thoughts about this attraction’s strength are repetitive at the beginning of the novel, but these thoughts end up being alternated just as repetitively by “I must not do anything with him/her because it’s not a good time.”

There’s also the fact the hero arrives with an infected wound on his arm, to the point of having fever and thinking several times he’s not in full possession of his faculties. So I doubted a little about his feelings for the heroine (feelings which arrive just as quickly because the cruise lasts five days).

On the negative side I also noticed the fact that even if they have known each other for only two days and haven’t even kissed the heroine knows he would make love better than the other men; the fact she’s hurt because he’s reluctant to tell her the problem eating him up (two times in a few pages); or when she acts TSTL by facing the bad guy when they’re both locked in a room.

On the positive side I’d say the cruise atmosphere is likeable and pushed me to look for how one can become a nurse on cruise ship (it’s well paid on top of that), and the plot about the colleague’s death go on slowly but surely, the simple mission becoming much more dangerous than predicted.

Unfortunately for me there were more negative than positive points and It’s an author I don’t think I will read again.

I really enjoyed Cruising with Danger. This was my introduction to Robyn Rychard’s writing and she did a great job of keeping me captivated till the end. I love that both protagonists we principled but flawed and they didn’t shy away from being open about those challenges. Mirder mystery on a cruise ship is never boring and makes for a nice change of pace from your typical who done its.

This romantic mystery/suspense is an interesting premise, but while there are lots of talk about the sparks between the characters, I felt the suspense under developed.

Overall, it is a fun read with a couple of interesting characters that are different from most books.

Enjoyable read of two halves. The main part of the story is that a policeman and the chief doctor on a cruise fall in love at first sight and must not act upon it except as part of the criminal enquiry to catch a murderer. It got a bit monotonous. How wonderfully fit he was and how he had been forced to take this cruise to recover from a previous incident. Sage, the doctor continually put her life at risk and was on the cruise to recover from her previous sexual adventures and her father. The ending could be improved by ending the mystery first.
I was given this book by NetGalley and the publisher. This is my voluntary and impartial review.

The idea of a doctor who works on a cruise ship seemed interesting to me. But, when I first began reading this book, I wondered if I'd missed something. The main character kept referring back to her past history, and I didn't really know what that was. But, that was revealed in time. The book had a little too much sexual focus for my liking. It could have focused more on the mystery and less on the details of the sexual attraction between the two main characters. I also thought that the solution to the mystery was a bit too obvious to the reader. It really didn't keep my interest once that was clear.

A very slow moving romance mystery that has way too much thought and not enough action, The basic story is very good with a lot of suspects and surprises but moves much too slow,

“Cruising With Danger” is a romantic mystery with major suspense. The setting of the cruise ship was what caught my interest. Main characters are very likeable. Dace is a security guard on the ship while Sage is the doctor on board. Lots of romance between the two while they try to figure out what’s going on after a murder happens.
Fast, enjoyable read.

This is a well plotted mystery with strong characters that kept me reading into the night. I enjoyed the sleuth and the aspect of the cruise ship . The author created sub plots within the main sleuth that add to the story. I would recommend this book for anyone that enjoys mysteries. Very well done and a fast paced read.

Enjoyable fast romantic mystery. Lots of repetition of the sparks created by Sage and Dace, not much story. The mystery was interesting and resolved to my satisfaction.

This is a romance book with a bit of mystery. Reminds me of a cheap dollar store novel. Not very good. I received a copy of this e-book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Richards has written a romantic suspense with an interesting trope that should have been explored further in this book. The writing is ok but could benefit from a good editor.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a complementary copy of this book.

2.5 stars

There was nothing wrong with this book but I just didn't connect with the characters and found myself skimming by the end. I was drawn to it b/c it was set on a cruise ship.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for my copy.

I really loved this book, there were so many emotions at play on the ship. There was only one thing that got over used in the book. The saying/action of sliding the hand down the face! It seems everyone in the story has the same tick LOL. I would recommend reading this story, I really did enjoy it! Thank you Robyn.

I am sad to say that I was disappointed with, Cruising With Danger. The sexual tension was off the charts. There were all kinds of reasons why Sage and Dace never were intimate. I felt as if there were a lot left unfinished with this point of the story. Also a big missed opportunity was the fact that the story took place on a cruise ship. Other than the fact that they kept referencing that they were on a cruise ship I would have never guessed.
