Seasides, oceans, pirates and this is a nice little read. I loved "sailing" the seas with Shannon. She turned out to be a fantastic pirate. The pacing was great, the story, easy to sink into, and overall, I came away pleased with this story. I felt like I could drink cider and yell Argggh! So much fun!

I voluntarily read a copy of this book from Net Galley. All opinions expressed are entirely my own and this review is left of my own free will.

I liked the book. I recommend it for all the marine adventurers. Some people find it amazing to read such stories and I am one such person.

I want to thank Koehler Books and Netgalley for this partnership.

I was immediately attracted by the cover, we see the beautiful Shannon from back to the seaside.

There is Shannon who worked in the water sector in one of the oldest ports in America. Until the day his uncle Patrick resurfaced with letters and artifacts from their family ancestors. They go to sea to learn more about their family.

A well written, captivating story filled with suspense and twists.

The only negative point about this book is the almost invisible images, the text between the images at certain passages and it lacked letters to certain words.

Well written with characters that were easy to care about, a plot that moved at a steady pace, and there was plenty of intrigue.

Beyond Beaufort is a fast moving book. A tale of adventure on the high seas. Enjoyed the plot, characters and the setting. I highly recommend this book.

Are you looking for a summer adventure? Search no further - Beyond Beauport delivers with a fun quest for treasure and self discovery.

When Shannon, a middle-aged woman raised by the sea, is given the opportunity from a sea captain named Paddy to learn not only about her family's history but to go on the adventure of a lifetime she eagerly signs up! As Paddy tells it, Shannon is the descendant of Anne Bonny and Jack Rackham - notorious pirate lovers in the 1700s.

Legacy isn't the only thing to be discovered as Anne and Jack left behind buried treasure which rightfully should be Shannon's... if she can find it first that is. Because no tale set on the high seas is complete without modern day pirates!

In this novel it jumps between present day and past in a unique dream-like manner which was fairly easy to grasp though I wasnt 100% sold on why it was happening and the story could survive without that additional layer. Nevertheless I did enjoy the departure from my regular reads and also found the banter pretty entertaining.

If you're into books like Outlander, Treasure Island or The Dust of 100 Dogs, then this story should pique your interest!
