I liked it. It was well written and the content was unique which made me read everything. But a few parts were a little non- coherent which confused the prose in the middle.

This was a quick but not so easy read.
Quick, as it was just over 200 pages and I finished in hours and Not so easy, as its the story of a woman navigating abuse, divorce, dating again and even cancer. Tough topics for sure, but I love that it wasn't written in a "woe is me" kinda way but was a story of overcoming and empowerment.
I think its loosely based on the author's life though it is fiction and I'd absolutely recommend

Thank you to The Catelyst Group for an e-copy of Tough Love for review.

I did not connect with the main character, Aleyna, at all. I found her story to be a lot of ups and downs emotionally but for me, the story really started in the middle. I did not feel any connection to her at all so even as the plot ramped up through some pretty emotional topics, I found them to be half felt and with no personal drive from me as the reader. I wish there was more in the beginning to really give us time to get to know the characters before the author dropped the tough plot on us right in the beginning.
Not the writing style I really connect with, therefore not the book for me. Covers some interesting topics and emotional roller coasters.

This book would have been my Bible while going through my divorce.

This is definitely a book for women who find themselves in an incomplete life-marriage-relationship etc. It's like a support system out there - just pick it up and you're accepted as you are. Makes you feel better about your own miseries.

Addictive writing style.

Thank you NetGalley for connecting me to this new and amazing writer.

Tough Love was a picture of today's reality. Women working the 'second shift" while having to balance being a good wife, friend, mother and employee. I would recommend this to all of my friends.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. This book was a bit heavy with emotions for me. Life or a loveless marriage. There does not seem to be much of a choice in there. I know Aleyna has been through a lot and life just seemed to come back at her with more hurt and pain. She thought she has beat cancer and now it is back. I found myself going along with her and wondering what choice she would make and how it would change her along the way. I know what she did and if you want to know you can grab a copy of this and follow a similar journey as I have.

All that glitters is not gold and this is hitting home for Aleyna as struggles between her traditional family desires and being unhappy in a marriage with her less than faithful husband, Kyle. Being a public speaker on confidence and success, Aleyna feels she isn’t being honest with herself or the world as she learns that the cancer she once beat has returned, bringing her face to face with a choice; her life or her marriage
Aleyna is learning she needs to let go. Fighting for a marriage that her husband is not wanting. How will the kids deal and what will finally be the straw that breaks the camels back?
I love the relationship between Aleyna and her best friend and another friend through her cancer.
This was a qick book as there was about 200 pages.
