This is the story of Sage Revere, a plant psychologist out to do her part to bring happiness to people and Eric Westerly, a hollywood onscreen superhero. Eric, fresh out of rehab, is hiding out and going incognito under an assumed name, when he has an unconventional meeting with Sage. The sparks fly but neither one wants a relationship. They each have a painful past and need to work on themselves first. I have read this author before and loved her work, but this book just didn't do it for me. It seemed far fetched and I couldn't warm up to the characters. I struggled to finish it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. She captured my attention from the very beginning and kept it until the very end. Well written and highly entertaining read. Great characters you can really get behind. Would recommend!

This is reality romance! đź’šđź’™
A modern romance with the imperfectly perfect characters coming from "disfunctional" families and trying to make sense of their lives.
Sage and Eric checked my boxes as soul mates. Loved their interactions along with each of their best friends giving them best friend advice, wanted or not lol.
Ms Cardello is so good at involving your heart no matter the circumstance with family always being the core.
I received an ARC thru Net galley, and am happily giving my honest review.

Firstly I love Ruth Cardellos writing, consume her books, as yet I've not found any I don't thoroughly enjoy. This one, well despite waiting patiently, I wasn't sure, some of the details in the previous books started to fall into place. Eric the Hollywood superhero, actor and rich successful guy, who wasn't really sure who he really was. Dysfunctional family, estranged from each other now finding their way back to themselves as well as each other. Could Eric do the same? Having met Sage could she show him how everything wasn't dark? Not spoiling the story but it's good, really enjoyable, I laughed out loud, gasped (at Dalinder) and cried at the gentleman on the park bench. Loved it, read the previous editions only to understand the family dynamic, and the links, it's worth it.

This story was quite good (or course, all of Ruth Cardello's are). The characters were flawed in their own way and had interesting backgrounds. Eric was hiding from the world and his family. Sage was a little different and her family really didn't understand her and didn't try to. They met under false pretenses and Sage had a real problem with that. The story told much about families and their flaws, addiction, love and charity. Good story.

This is the fourth book in the Westerly Billionaire series. Eric Westerly is the Hollywood star with his movie Water Bear Man, and Sage Revere is a plant ecologist helping people picking out the right plant to make them feel better about themselves. This book had started out by Eric trying to work out his problems. When he meets Sage he had to feel instant attraction to her and she had just felt like he need help and try to give help by giving her card to her and they didn’t have a good start because he feels like she wanted something from him. As they get to know each other, they think that they have things in common. Her best friend Bella is the right friend to her by looking out for her and Reggie is the best friend for Eric, and he has best intentions for him. This book will make you laugh by his grandmother crazy antics for protecting her family and Sage family trying to be an opportunist. You will like this book from beginning to end. Can’t wait for the next Westerly Billionaire book to come out

4.5 Stars!

This book sucks you right in, especially if you’ve read the previous books in the series. I adore flawed characters, and Eric Westerly is certainly that. There is this realness in Eric’s exploration to find himself that I just love. Also, I love Sage! I wish more people were able to be so empathetic like her. I enjoyed hearing about her quirky job too. It really was great to be emerged into the Westerly family saga again, and I can’t wait for the next book!

Hollywood Heir is the 3rd book of the dysfunctional Westerly family. Overall it is a good story though I found it dragged on a little longer than necessary. I loved Sage's optimism and outlook on life though she needed to stand up for herself more. I thought Eric was a bit of a jerk. Overall, ok but not great.

I have been waiting on Eric's story for FOREVER. I guess all that can be said is what was mentioned by his best friend Reggie, "Odd Duck". His personality and perspective was not one everyone would get but one person got him and vice versa. This a complicated simple romance. Letting go of the past but also living the life that best out you at ease and replaces the demon sounds with laughter and hope. Eric heart was HUGE, but manipulation almost turned it into stone not for all aspects but trust in a lover and his instincts.

Yes this review may seem odd but just read the story and you will understand how so many variables had a simple outcome. Sage growth and believing in herself and finding what she always craved. Eric being able to incorporate his dreams with his present and finding that calm median. Reggie being the sounding board and best friend through it all. Don't forget Bella....and Alice.

In true Ruth Cardello writing style, Hollywood Heir pulls you in from the beginning. Eric Westerly, actor gets played by his fiance and becomes disillusioned with his acting and his choices. Sage Revere self-proclaimed plant phycologist is a lonely woman who loves to help people but isn't taken seriously by anyone that matters until she meets an incognito Eric. Two souls lost in different ways. Ruth's characters are always compelling, strong and lovable. Her writing is such that you can lose yourself in her words. Loved this book! I highly recommend the whole series of stand-alone Westerlys.

Fun, Hollywood romance

Ruth Cardello's Hollywood Heir Was a middle of the road read for me. The writing was strong but just didn't love Sage and Eric, the main characters. They just didn't resonate with me. That being said I would definately read a different book by this author. I received an advance reader copy via Netgalley.

This is the fourth book in the Westerly Billionaire series that can easily be read as a standalone, but is much better if you read the series and get to know this very dysfunctional, but fun, family and their relationships. This book focuses on Sage and Eric and his need to stay hidden for reasons which you'll find out in the book. Sage is a sweet, very likeable character and their interactions with each other are steamy at times and emotionally intense at times, but enjoyable all the time. Very good addition to this series. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

WOW!! This is hands down my new favorite book. Eric was hard for me to like at first. I really wanted to punch him. I was so happy when he stopped being arrogant. Sage is wonderfully amazing. Sage see's the good in people and wants everyone to feel happiness and love. When these two meet I became fully interested. I laughed and cried through out Hollywood Heir. A true romance all will love.

Sage and Eric fix each other!

Sage Revere loves to help people and find out what makes them happy and when she sees an unhappy looking guy named Wayne Easton with a bad scar on his face, she knows that she will make his life better. Wayne Easton (AKA Eric Westerly) is using the scar to throw off people’s attention so he can have some privacy because of popularity of his Water Bear Man superhero movies. Eric was so used to people wanting something from him that he didn’t know how to deal with Sage who didn’t want anything.

Sage and Eric had similar upbringings in that they both came from money but Sage had walked away from hers because her divorced parents used her as a weapon against each other where Eric’s parents were divorced and battled because of the issues that ended their marriage which are covered in the book.

Hollywood Heir is the fourth book in the Westerly Billionaire series but reading the other books in the series helps the reader understand the background of the family and relationships to each other.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I have been waiting for this book since finishing the previous one wanting to hear Eric's story. As soon as I met Sage, I laughed out loud at who was going to be paired with broody and flawed Eric. The pair are initially drawn together with chemistry but also due to the fact they both came from broken families and are able to heal together as well. I am really loving this series and am anxiously awaiting the next story about the crazy Westerly family.

Hollywood Heir by Ruth Cardello is book Four in the Westerly Billionaire series. This is the story of Sage Revere and Eric Westerly. I haven't yet read the previous book, so for me this is a standalone book.
Eric is a Hollywood actor just out of rehab not feeling that he is in a good place when Sage enters his life. Sage likes to make people happy that are feeling down or out. So she has noticed how Eric appears and wants to help him...even when he doesn't want it.
This was such a great story! I so enjoyed Ms. Cardello's writing and this just made me more into her books....loved it!

I wasn't a huge fan of this one. I found parts of it silly and I never really connected with these characters. There are good parts to the book though. It's well written and the characters are well developed. Individually I like both Sage and Eric. I didn't feel the chemistry between them though. So while not a terrible book it just didn't work for me.

Eric Westerly is trying so very hard to hide from the world. He hates who he is and is angry with everybody and everything especially his meddling family. When he meets Sage Revere he doesn’t know what hit him. Lies and secrets nearly destroy this relationship before it gets started especially when Eric’s grandmother decides to interfere.

This is the fourth book in the Westerly series and I love going back to visit this crazy, mixed up, dysfunctional family. It is always fun to see what everybody is up to and this one is no different. I knew Eric’s story would be heart wrenching because he has so many hurts hidden deep down that have to come out and be dealt with before he can get his HEA. I loved Sage’s attitude toward life especially and in spite of the parents she grew up with. There is a lot of fun humor in this story that this author is famous for as it adds so much to this story. The characters of Bella and Reggie add so much laugh out loud moments that are such a great support to Eric and Sage. You never know what is going to happen next with them involved. There is also a very moving scene with Eric and his grandmother that I didn’t see coming but was so very lovely. If you haven’t read this series you are missing out on true romance with a little not so perfect thrown in the mix! Hollywood Heir is another hit for this author!

I received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

Hollywood Heir may be book 4 in the Westerly Billionaire but each of these books can be read as stand-alones I know this because I haven’t read all of this series yet I still really enjoyed this book.
Eric Westerly is a Hollywood heartthrob who is hiding away from his celebrity status he is struggling with his life and the last thing he needs is the paparazzi or fans following him around. Sage Reverve lives life to her own beat she has the title of a plant psychologist but truth be known she just likes helping people by solving problems and issues they may be having in their life’s and when she spots Eric in a coffee shop she can tell he is a man needing help problem is he is not sure he needs help let alone from a girl who’s friend takes a snap shot of him......
This is a story about a broken hero a unconventional heroine and a whole of lot of love. I loved this book for many reasons but the most important one was it left me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. I can’t wait to read more from the very talented Ruth Cardello.
