A comfortable and quirky deep-character Romance with HEA, set in the scenic beauty of the Upper Pacific Northwest Coast adjacent to Canada. Romance fans will enjoy the reuniting of two "star-crossed," long-separated, sweethearts-not-yet-lovers, and the tortuous paths of their lives before rediscovering each other.

SNOWFALL ON LIGHTHOUSE LANE is the second book in the Honeymoon Harbor series, but I enjoyed it without reading the first book. Honeymoon Harbor is a small, friendly town that thrives on gossip, and the townspeople know everything going on as soon as it happens (thanks to the town’s Facebook page as well as word of mouth.) In this story, Aiden has moved back home after a stint in the armed services and has taken the job of acting sheriff. Jolene is a makeup artist in LA, who has just had a rather public breakup. She returns to town, under the auspices of spending Christmas with her mom, when she finds out about her mother's health scare. Jolene and Aiden have a past, but they both ran scared. Can they rekindle those feelings and if they do, can they act on them and figure out how to make a relationship work?

The story flows well with multiple plots going on that blend seamlessly together. The story involves family and friends, romance and the holidays. The characters are well developed and we learn about their past together as well as what they have done since they left Honeymoon Harbor. I really liked both Aiden and Jolene and it was easy to see that they have chemistry. Their feelings for one another come rushing back as they spend time together. Even though everyone around them sees that they are meant to be together, neither of them are ready to take the next step in their relationship. I liked the interactions between all the characters and how they were always there to lend a hand and help out. The story isn’t all happy moments, as there is the health scare and a bit of a mystery. Of course this is a romance and there will be a happily ever after, but the story takes you for a bit of a ride before it gets there. This is another of those stories that would make a wonderful Christmas movie. I also like the set up for the next book, SUMMER ON MIRROR LAKE, as well as the excerpt at the end.

This one just didn't do it for me, unfortunately. The classism and focus on the place in society of the characters turned me off. I may continue with the series, but this certainly wasn't a favorite of mine.

Very sweet Christmas love story. A successful woman goes home for a visit where her old boyfriend is also back in town and you know the rest of the story. :)

SNOWFALL ON LIGHTHOUSE LANE takes us back to Honeymoon Harbor and the series by the same name. It’s a quaint town that thrives on gossip, and the townspeople know everything going on as soon as it happens (thanks to the town’s Facebook page as well as word of mouth.)

It was nice to be reunited with the Mannion family. This time it is Aiden and Jolene’s story. Once again, childhood friends have a second chance at romance when they both are back in town at the same time. He is the rebellious bad boy who has cleaned up his act, and she’s returning home to be with her mom during a health scare, as well as to get her own life back in order.

Love is definitely in the air as there are other romances happening too.The story flows nicely with multiple plots going on that blend seamlessly together. The story involves family and friends, romance and the holidays. The characters have a depth to them; we learn their history as well as what’s currently going on in their lives.

Aiden and Jolene have chemistry, and neither has forgotten the other or their short stint secretly dating in high school. Their feelings come rushing back after not seeing each other in fourteen years. Everyone around them sees that they are meant to be together, but are either of them ready to take the next step in their relationship, let alone settle down?

I liked the interactions between all the characters and how they were always there to lend a hand and help out. The story isn’t all happy moments, and it has a real town feel as a result. There is a happily ever after and enough loose ends to bring us to the next book in the series, SUMMER ON MIRROR LAKE—of which there’s an excerpt in the back of the book that left me wanting more.

Ms Ross is an author I only read occasionally, but I’m trying to rectify that. I look forward to reading the next book in the series as well as the two novellas I missed along the way: HOME TO HONEYMOON HARBOR and ONCE UPON A WEDDING. I look forward to reading other books she’s written, not only those in this series.

This boasted many tropes--a black sheep, wrong side of town type and second chance at first love. While that seems like a lot, Aiden and Jolene's story was sweet and in keeping with the theme of the book.

In JoAnn Ross's Snowfall on Lighthouse Lane, the 2nd installment in the Honeymoon Harbor contemporary romance, 'tis the season to be jolly and home for the holidays. For Jolene Wells, she had lived on the wrong sided of the tracks and had fallen for Aidan Mannion, one of the sons of the richest families in Honeymoon Harbor, a small town outside of Seattle. He was her high school sweetheart who broke her heart and went to the Marines. Years later, he's the new chief of police and been mourning the loss of his partner from the LAPD who made an angelic appearance to help him out. As the new chief in town, he dealt with police corruption and a disturbing domestic violence case in the neighborhood. But he never thought he would see a blast from his past. For Jolene, she was the only child of a single mother who had her when she was young; her father had an abusive and criminal past that ended up dead. She worked her way as a hair dresser and was once Emmy nominated too, and suffered a broken heart as well. But when she learned about her mother's cancer scare, she flew back home to be there for her mother and then reunites with Aidan in her former hometown. From there, they rebuild their relationship and find out they were made from each other with a surprise ending during the holidays.

Second chance romances are hit and miss for me, but here Ross definitely has a winner.  I loved how Aiden and Jolene get to know each other again and manage to find their way into a HEA.  This is one of those feel good versions that work for me.

Ross's main characters are complex and the supporting cast of family & friends are a delight.  She delivers quirky world, full of love & support.  But for those who are a little more of a ... purist, I feel I should give a heads up about Aiden's otherworldly friend.  I found him to be a fantastic addition to the story, and something Aiden definitely needed, but a ghostly friend won't be for everyone.

Small town romances are definitely high on my list of favorites and setting them during Christmas just makes them all the better.  (Oh, and I personally don't think it is ever the wrong time for a great Christmas story!)  If you are an addict of those Hallmark-y holiday movies, you definitely have to get your hands on this one.

This was the perfect holiday read, and I loved the Honeymoon Harbor town. This book had the holiday magic I like this time. A black sheep is always likable in a book like this, and Aiden is no exception. I really like the characters of Jolene and her mother as well, they were a team and such a great one. This one really worked for me, I can't wait to read the rest.

When I first got back into reading romance, I read a lot of JoAnn Ross. I love her voice, and her stories were ones that I could count on. Not to say they were cookie cutter, but I trusted that no matter what, it would be a story full of love and even with whatever conflict that occured, in the end we’d have that HEA.

Snowfall on Lighthouse Lane is a second chance romance. Aidan and Jolene actually fell in love in high school. They had their reasons for keeping their relationship secret. Aidan was a bit of a bad boy and after making a bad choice, he’s given the choice to go to jail or join the Marines. He chooses the Marines and he and Jolene are apart for years. Several years later, after they each experience life altering events they find themselves back in Honeymoon Harbor and it’s clear that they still have feelings for each other.

I really enjoyed how this story played out. Aidan and Jolene have not seen each other since Aidan enlisted right after graduation. But their relationship in high school ended badly and they have a lot to talk about. As soon as they begin spending time together, and talking about what happened, it’s clear to both of them that they still have feelings for each other and now as adults they are free to experience it however they so choose.

There is an odd element that I struggled with a bit. Aidan’s partner Bodhi who dies in a police ambush pops in and out as a ghost. Only Aidan can see and hear him, but they talk and have conversations like he’s not really dead. The why of it is made very clear in the last 20% but a ghost character was unexpected-not in a bad way...more in a weird way.

I liked the flow of this story through to about the 70%. Then it was like everything had to happen in that last 30% and it’s just thrown at the reader. Aidan and Jolene may have been in love in their teens and that love may have easily rekindled when they found themslves back home, but it’s still felt rushed and insta-love-ish. That on top of the secondary ghost story and this was just an okay read for me.

If you need a sweet Hallmark Movie type romance this is the read for you. This is book 2 in the Honeymoon Harbor series and it has Jolene returning home to help her mom because of a cancer scare. She runs into her first love, Aiden who has returned from the military and is now a police officer. Easy to follow and a happy ending, these two renew their love and hope to live happily ever after. A great romance and a fun read. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This review does not reflect on the author in any way. I did not check this book out closely enough before I requested a copy from NetGalley, and it wasn’t in the genre that I first thought. I usually read more of the Love Inspired fiction and this one has a little too much language for me. The story and characters were interesting, it I wasn’t comfortable with the book. Anyway, I wasn’t the intended audience for the book, and I’m sure the author’s fans enjoyed this one.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Holiday time on the Washington coast finds make-up artist Jolene heading home to check on her sick mother. Meantime, her childhood sweetheart, Aiden,, has come home to hide out--and hide in a bottle--recovering from a shootout in LA that left him wounded and his cop partner dead. Three months in, with his demons under control, he's invited to serve as acting police chief of the small town and accepts the townspeople's faith in him. So now that his professional life is squared away, Jolene--his only love and his other personal failure--comes to town and suddenly he's out of control again. These characters feel like family and by the end the reader will feel as if they've been home for a warm visit. A great book to relax with during the busyness of the holidays or anytime you just need to settle back with light, enjoyable reading.

This was a perfect read for a snow day! Aiden and Jolene had a short but sweet relationship when they were teens that ended badly due to some circumstances. Aiden comes home after some horrible stuff happened in LA and Jolene comes home because her mom found a lump in her breast. They had a very cute reunion, and didn't rush things too fast. I appreciated that they revisited the past before pursuing the present.

Aiden took the Chief's job reluctantly but found himself enjoying and work to bring the town of Honeymoon Harbor to a better place. Jolene just wants to make her life better have a series of unfortunate events. They are such a cute pair! I loved every moment of them together and loved this little town and I can't wait to read more books set here.

I loved Herons Landing, the first in the series, and was excited to spend more time in Honeymoon Harbor! This book was just as delightful as the first, and I loved that this book was about Aidan! The book was engaging, well written, and such a sweet story. I can't wait for more in this series!

Snowfall on Lighthouse Lane is the latest release from JoAnn Ross's Honeymoon Harbor series. I love a good second chance romance story, and Ms. Ross did an amazing job in Snowfall on Lighthouse Lane.

I adored seeing Jolene and Aiden reconnect even as they initially tried to avoid each other when they were both home for a wedding previously. I think part of what I liked best about them reconnecting was the fact they started back as friends first. As they hadn't seen each other in years and never kept up with one another, it really worked for me that they slowly moved from friendship to more. Their relationship totally worked for me and was so very fun to watch it grow and become more.

However, my favorite part of the entire story was the relationship between Jolene and her mother, Gloria. I'm a huge fan of the show Gilmore Girls and I adored how much both women loved the show and really seemed to be so much like Lorelei and Rory. Their relationship gave me all the happy feels and was every bit as important to the story as the romance was to the story. I love when there is a secondary story that only adds to the main story of a book, and if felt like Jolene's relationship with her mom was every bit as important and her romance with Aiden.

Snowfall on Lighthouse Lane was a really beautiful story. Both the romance and the strong relationship between mother and daughter were so very well done. I've read books by JoAnn Ross for years, yet had missed her last few releases. I have to say after reading her newest story; I have gone back and added all missed books to my to-be-read list. I highly recommend adding books by JoAnn Ross to your list of books to read if you enjoy reading emotional and uplifting stories.

Jolene Wells knows what its like to grow up without all the cool things in life. Being on the wrong side of the tracks has that effect on people but with a hard-working mom encouraging her to reach for her dreams, Jolene left Honeymoon Harbor and made her way to the bright lights of Los Angeles. She hasn’t really been back to her hometown in years, preferring her mom come visit her in LA. But when her mom faces a cancer scare, there is nothing Jolene will do than run back home and help her in any way she can. But that means running into Aiden Mannion, the one guy she fell in love with as a teenager and never really forgot.

Aiden was the black sheep as a kid. Getting into trouble, doing stupid teenager stuff that had him join the marines. But with everything he has endured while serving in the military has left their mark on him and he is back in Honeymoon Harbor to heal and see where he should go next now that he is done with the military. Running into Jolene was a surprise, but the sparks fly between these two and as they grow close once again, can the past be put to bed for the future to open for them? Can Jolene and Aiden give their romance one more chance this time?

I just loved the first book, Home to Honeymoon Harbor, when I read it and this second book in the series, SNOWFALL ON LIGHTHOUSE LANE, is just as good. I loved meeting some new faces as well as some old friends from book one. Ms. Ross delivers another heartfelt and at times, emotional story that will leave you spellbound and flipping the pages on a cold snowy night while rooting for these two people to find their own happy ever after. The story is full of amazing well written characters that are vibrant, diverse and just down right enjoyable to read about. I really enjoyed meeting some new faces in the Mannion family as well as catching up with other residents of this wonderful town. I love small town stories, and this is by far becoming one of my favorites to read now.

Ms. Ross does a great job in capturing the heart of Honeymoon Harbor as well as the residents there. The story flows smoothly, keeps the reader glued to the pages and leaves you with a smile on your face when the last page is read. This is a story of second chances, of forgiveness, of secrets coming out and being upfront with someone. Its also about love in all its forms-from parental to friendship to romance. Ms. Ross delivers a story that readers will enjoy for the ages and one I couldn’t put down. If you enjoy small town stories with engaging characters and storylines that will just grab your heart and not let go, then grab this series and get ready for the feels when you read the Honeymoon Harbor books. I can’t wait to see who is next to find their own happy ever after in this unique and romantic town in book three.

I enjoy books by this author. This second book in a new series is a good romance--I look forward to the third book.

I struggled with making a connection with the characters. Part of this could just be me since I didn’t read the first book in the series because this one looked like it could be stand alone. The book also seemed weighted down with “extra” words and nothing really happening. However, it doesn’t feel like a wash. I think I’ll go back to read the first one and then reassess.

This is a sweet love story about young love that never really goes away. Jolene left her small town to go become a makeup artist and Aiden who back when they were kids was trouble is now an ex-marine and the current police chief. When Jolene's mother gets sick she rushes home and attempts to avoid Aiden but it's no use. Their love was built for the long haul.
