Book review of Bad Night Stand: Billionaire's Club Book One by Elise Faber

This was well written with enough snark and drama ... heat and emotion to cover whatever your romance book tastes are.

You fall for Abby at first with her snark and self deprecating personality and learn about her brilliance and depth of emotion. Jordan is not hard to adore ... he is like Thor come to life and he is a real man ... in that he wants a woman with curves & personality!

He gets both of those things in Abby. In Jordan she gets the acceptance and respect she has craved since childhood. This book shows money doesn't equal happiness as they were both raised by billionaires and both had messed up childhoods. Those messed up childhoods almost doomed them be for they even started.

Give it a go if you like smart, emotional stories that have a HEA!

Think of your worst one night stand. Now take that horrible feeling it brings and multiply it by like 10. That's what our heroine Abby feels like after her one night stand with mega hottie Jordan. I mean, seriously. I was cringing and saying "are you kidding me" out loud. The poor girl may have caught the attention of the hottest guy in the bar, but he so did NOT deliver.

Story Line: So Abby is a 29 year old single hottie with a body. She meets a guy at a bar and ends up sleeping with him. It was the worst round of laundry of her life. Fast forward 8 weeks and suddenly she's puking all over the place. Yep. Totally knocked up. So this story is about Jordan and Abby's journey to parenthood. Sort of. I mean, it's so much more than how these two ironed out their differences to make things work, but it is an important part of the story. I will say I legit hated Jordan for a good 1/3 of the book. I mean, after a romp in the hay like that? YEAH, you're gonna have a lot of haters, dude. Luckily for us (and Abby) he redeems himself tenfold.

Another huge part of the story line was Hunter. His character was a surprise and a bit of a shock to me. He made me cry sad and happy tears. And I was definitely praising the good Lord upstairs when his good news finally came through. I'm on of those readers that have a love/hate relationship with heart string tugging plot twists. I love the happiness I feel once the HEA comes, but man, am I cursing the author over and over again while my heart is being ripped out of my chest. Sorry. Not sorry.

Interaction: Abby is downright hilarious. She takes pregnancy with a lot of humor and sarcasm. I loved it. When I was pregnant with my kids, I was just miserable. Granted both of my kids ended up being 10 and 11 pounds at birth which clearly gave me complaining rights. But anywho, Abby had a rough start to her pregnancy. And yet I wasn't sitting back in my cute little reading chair feeling sorry for her. No, I was laughing along with her which was totally unexpected and absolutely loved. And then there's Jordan. The jerk weaseled his way into my heart too. I couldn't hate him forever like I planned to.

Laundry: So obviously, as you can tell, laundry the first go around wasn't exactly stellar. But laundry the second time around? Oh heck yes. It was amazing. The foreplay, the 3rd base, the rounding for home... oh wow, I've been watching too much baseball. You get what I mean. Jordan is very accomplished at ALL of the bases and this was definitely one of his redeeming qualities.

Depth: Abby's family sucks. Like huge donkey ones. Her dad is one of the biggest jerks on the planet. Seriously though. He made Jordan's shortcomings (BAHAHA joke) seem very insignificant in comparison. So that backstory in itself added quite a bit of depth. But I think Hunter's character really holds my heart where the depth is concerned. I fell in love with this sweetie. I know I won't be the only one to say this - I loved a secondary character more than the main couple. And the dynamic duo were awesome. So that's really saying something.

This is a beautiful love story about two damaged people with painfully family stories. And it's the story of how their faults lead them to create a family full of promise. I loved it.

I am volunteering to leave a review of this ARC book. Book 1 in the Billionaire's Club series. This was a really fun book to read. I knew it had to be based on the title. Elise did a wonderful job not only with the story, but with the main and supporting characters! Usually not the "most likely to get hit on," this one particular night she is! Jordan is more than put off by Abby's brush off. He pursues her, and oh boy, the result of that "bad night stand!" I recommend this book and author. New to me, and cannot wait to read more!

I really enjoyed another book by this author and took a chance on this one. The beginning was great. It lost me a little in the middle. The male character’s mood swings could have been written differently. It almost like he flipped a switch and out of know where he was a jerk. It felt like I had skipped a paragraph or so. Other than that, the rest of the story was great. The character’s stories flowed great together. The further you get into the book, the more your start to really get the character’s behavior and the reason why certain things happen.

I enjoyed this book, Ijust as I have some of her previous books. This booknwas entertaining and at times utterly funny. Jordan could not understand why this gorgeous brunette didn't that he was interested in her, she had her reasons normally when she went out with her bestie the men were always after her. Eventually Abby realizes that he is not interested in her friend and the one night stand ensues, and unfortunately it was not good but she ended up getting a gift. I wasn't thrilled of them having sex without protection and they had just met, not responsible so he shouldn’t not have been that upset or surprised that she ended up pregnant The part that bugged mehe was wn ass but when we hear his background you understand why he reacted the way he did not that I condoned that behavior but understood. Loved her friends.

I really enjoyed this book, not for the romance (which was good) but for the way this author gave her characters life. This book was so much more than a "they meet, fall into bed, fall into love, etc., HEA, The End" novel. I loved Abby's sass and humor; I found myself relating to her often throughout this book. When she meets Jordan, because of her insecurities (like a lot of women), she thinks he's out of her league. Jordan, also with a few issues of his own, see's so much more than looks when he meets Abby. Jordan ends up being more than she could hope for but, because they both have been burned in the past, they at times allowed that to come between something that could be worthwhile. Not to spoil it, but yes they find their happily ever after in the end. Overall, a really good read.

It was hard for Abigail /Abby to go out with her best friend Seraphina as Seraphina had unspoken chemistry that drew men to her and of course they bypassed Abigail. It was hard to go out for a drink much less dinner. Sometimes it was just hard bing Seraphina’s friend. But Abigail didn’t mind being in the background as with too much attention Abigail froze and ended up making a fool of herself. Men had tried going through Abigail to get to Seraphina - the slightly rumpled, cute-but-definitely - not gorgeous , exceptionally-clumsy best friend and Abigail had been hurt this way before. There was a guy near Abigail and introduced himself as Jordan and he was movie star gorgeous who said he was interested in Abigail and not Seraphina and Abigail decided to go for it. Jordan wondered how anyone could want Seraphina when there was Abigail who was Jordan’s every teenage fantasy come to life. Jordan was selling his business and he didn’t trust anyone else with the specific details of the buyout of a business he had spent the last decade building his own technology development firm. Getting back to inventing rather than management was Jordan’s dream. When Abigail was in his arm Jordan’s mind quieted for the first time in forever. Until Abigail gave him sass normally Jordan wouldn’t like sass but from Abigail it had a totally different effect. Jordan couldn’t remember the last time he had sex. Jordan liked how Abigail was himself. Abigail took Jordan to her apartment and he climaxed quickly as it had been so long and promised to take care of Abigail but then his phone rang he got dressed and left leaving Abby naked and unfulfilled. It had been eight weeks and Abby ran into Jordan again. Love them and leave them wasn’t Jordan’s style. Abby had pretty much run her old bosses - Frank and Susan- graphic design business but they had retired and her father bought their business and Abby was now unemployed at this moment. Abigail had gotten sick and passed out in Jordan’s arms. When she came to they found out she was pregnant because of what he had seen in the past he accused Abby of being a gold digger since he now had a large bank account from selling his business. Jordan then showed up with a lot of suits and the paperwork he had wanted a paternity test and if the child was his he wanted full custody and Abby called one of her best friends Bec who was a famous lawyer she showed up told Jordan and his suits to leave she would get back to them with their answer to their paperwork which was hell no! . Abby didn’t need or want Jordan’s money. She would take care of herself and her child. Bec told Abby she had to build up her image to get a job , use her trust fund to buy a house for her and the baby. If after a couple of weeks she didn’t have a job she needed to go to her father for a job. Then Abby learned Jordan’s dad was her father's mortal enemy.
I really loved this book. I was very happy that Jordan did turn out to be a really nice guy. As he had came across such a butt at first. This was an excellent emotional romantic read. I loved Abigail and Jordan together once he got over being a butt and how they interacted with each other. I loved how Jordan loved his nephew Hunter. Also that Abby loved Hunter shortly after meeting him. Hunter added to this book as far as I am concerned. I loved how close Abigail was to Bec and Seraphina. I loved the plot and pace. Happily I could find nothing to criticize . I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book. I highly recommend.

Bad Night Stand was a good book. Abby is out with her friends & can't believe Jordon is interested in a girl like her. She thinks he is hitting on her friends but he isn't. Abby takes him home for the night & it isn't a great night like she hoped. It was just supposed to be one night together but then Abby gets something a little more than that. She just wants her life back like it was. When Jordon shows back up, he wants to make it up to her. Can they work things out? I liked Bad Night Stand & liked the preview for the next book too.

Wow, what an amazing book from new to me author Elise Faber. I love contemporary romances, babies, and stories about billionaires. So after reading the book blurb, The Bad Night Stand became a must read. This is a wonderful novel, replete with great characters, a plot that twists and turns in all the right places, and a meaningful love story.

Abigail Roberts enjoys being a graphic designer. She has worked incredibly hard for everything she has achieved, even though she comes from a wealthy family and has a trust fund. The actions of her chauvinistic father, in addition to her own gumption, have formulated her strong work ethic. She is a smart and curvy woman, and prefers to hang in the background. Her best friend Seraphina is absolutely gorgeous, so when they go out, the men either give Seraphina all the attention or use Abby to get to Seraphina. Needless to say, Abby's self-esteem is quite low at times. Then billionaire and tech guru Jordan O'Keith walks into her life and is totally mesmerized by Abby. After one semi-passionate hour and a failed IUD, they are thrown together forever, which evolves into a romance replete with love, sexy times, and family.

Abby and Jordan are truly great together. Their heat is scorching and Ms. Faber does a wonderful job with creating hot, sensual love scenes. Jordan has the ability to make any woman swoon, due to his good-looks, business savvy and kindheartedness.

This is an entertaining book that I enjoyed greatly. Ms. Faber’s writing style is straightforward and easy to understand. It was truly an enjoyable escape, where I lived vicariously through the characters and cheered them on through thick and thin. I sincerely recommend this title to all book lovers that enjoy a fast-paced romance, lots of passion, and a happily ever after.

Bad Night Stand by Elise Faber is the First book in the Billionaire's Club series. This is the story of Jordan and Abby.
Jordan and Abby meet and have a quick encounter so much so that she doesn't 'finish' before he gets a phone call and leaves. They end up meeting again and slowly she learns there was an emergency as to why he left. That night had lasting impact on them both mentally and now physically.
Really enjoyed reading their story.

I would like to thank Netgalley and Elise Faber for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Super cute little HEA!! I had sworn off Billionaire books forever but for some reason requested this one and so glad I did. The characters are likable, funny, and makes you want to root for them. It kind of got a little silly with the “hammer jokes’. But on an overall it was a pretty good summer read.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Elisa Faber for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the first in a series. Romance category. I laughed a lot reading this book. Abigail can't control her mouth and just blurts out truths!! She has a bad one night stand with Jordan. He has fun and runs out as fast as he can, leaving her unhappy and unsatisfied! Abigail's two best friends are terrific, we all wish we had bulldogs like them in our corner. There were some parts I didn't understand the whole thing with her dad-that was confusing. Their family dynamics were crazy. It's a HEA and no Cliffhanger that I think most romance readers will enjoy. I give it a 4 out of 5, wiith a 🔥 rating of hot!

It was supposed to be a hot one-night stand but it ends up bad for Abby. When Jordan and Abby see each other again he wants another chance but they both get way more than they bargained for. This is a fast-paced fun and steamy romance with plenty of drama. I really liked it.

Abby and Jordan are Rom-Com genius. This story is so unique and shows this author's immense creative talents. So refreshing!

I've never imagined such a Bad, Bad Night Stand - the title made sense immediately! Not very many characters can recover from an encounter like theirs however Jordan has a persistence about him coupled with his Thor like looks and all the charm. Abby (and her IUD) was doomed from the get go.

These two characters are fantastically written. Both come from privileged upbringing Both with condescending jerk fathers. Both have careers and aren't looking for any romantic entanglements. Just a wicked hot attraction and desire to scratch the itch. Only Jordan finds his - gets a phone call - and leaves Abby hanging. What ensues as these two unexpectedly cross paths again is nothing short of hilarity. There is push and pull. They manage to do everything backwards. And along the journey, contrary to their rocky start - feelings develop. The hope of more. These two are so sweet and deserve all the happiness.

I can't wait to see which supporting characters will get a book next. Cece seems to be up first. Her story seems pretty emotionally charged based on the tease in the back of the book and I bet it gets juicy. Bring it on - can't wait!

I love a good unexpected baby story, but Bad Night Stand just had too much going on for me to enjoy it. The sick nephew, being molested as a child (this is a big deal, and yet nothing was said about it ever again? Also it didn't really seem to relate to the main characters issues like her crazy dad did), parent issues on both sides and job stuff. I wish it had been parred down to maybe only one or two of these things.

It was my first Elise Faber book, I found the writing to be good and I will read more of her in the future.

The plot was well written and well planned, the characters were well rounded which made this book a very enjoyable and entertaining read!

Starting out, I was a little hesitant that I wouldn't be able to enjoy the book. In the beginning, it reeked of standard romance novels based primarily around sex. The first major "plot twist" was so obvious that it was painful...but without it, why would there be more story between Abby and Jordan?

Getting to watch them both grow, separately and together, was awesome, but even more so were all the other major characters in the story. The book ends with the beginning of the next person's story, and left me hoping there will be more books with the other characters as well.

Definitely erotica throughout while also a romance. Several graphic sex scenes. Just want people to be aware

3.5 Stars. This was my first read by this author and I enjoyed her writing style! I had two issues that dropped it from a 4 to 3.5 - the first would be how the H speaks to h in the first part of the story. It was so hurtful that I really didn't believe that the author could develop his character enough for me to start rooting for him again. The second would be the amount of drama "issues". There were just way too many. I think if the focus would have been on one or two of these issues the story and characters would have been more developed and way more satisfying. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised and I would most definitely pick up another book by this author!
