I'm a fan of Lucy Stone and even though I've read these two stories several times, I couldn't help but read them again.
Lucy lives in a small town, Tinkers Cove, Maine to be exact.
She's a mom, grandmother, wife and reporter for The Pennysaver.
In these two stories, Lucy investigates the odd events surrounding my favorite holiday, Halloween.
Lucy is a typical character who likes nosing into other people's business. She's been attacked, frightened, and almost killed many times, but she doesn't let that stop her.
The stories are well written, light and fun. I will always be a fan of Lucy Stone.

I was very excited to receive a copy of this book so that I could once again get back to Tinker's Cove and into the world of Lucy Stone. I had already read The Wicked Witch Murder, in fact it was the very first Lucy Stone book I had read. So I sat down to read Trick or Treat Murder last night and I was not disappointed. One thing that I think Meier does better than many other writers is that she is able to paint a wonderful picture of whatever festive holiday we are entering and really make you feel like you are with the community of Tinker's Cover celebrating. Time and again I return to her books at the holiday times to celebrate with the Stone Family and find out what kind of hijinks Lucy is getting into this time. Of all the cozy mysteries that I have read, Meier's is my favorite.

I loved the overall Halloween feel that came with the Trick or Treat Murder. Of course there is that pesky murder to solve but it does not get in the way of the agenda of any of the folks of Tinker's Cover or for their celebration of the upcoming season. I often think of the people from TC as the cast of Gilmore Girls. A tight knit community full of colorful characters and laughter.
