Maya had been attacked by a vampire and within a minute he had his fangs in her neck and she wa on the ground she did manage to get her gum and shot ho with bullets that had been in holy water and the vampire did die. But Maya came back a monster as far as she was concerned she was now a vampire but she had been a cop so now she went around killing her own kind who hurt innocent humans. She also took down demons, shifters and whatever got in her way. Five years later Adam kept j=his eyes on his prey, he had been watching her for days. He watched as she prowled the streets at night, as she fed, as she fought, Even as she killed. There had been whispers about Maya for years. Tales of the vampire who hunted her own kind. There was a price on her head but for five years no one had collected the bounty on her head. The cops had learned long ago to hide the supernatural activities from the larger society. The vamps could hide in plain sight. Adam followed Maya Adam followed Maya into a feeding room, When he found Maya he was extremely attracted to her but he didn’t want to sleep with her he wanted to use her. Then Adam grabbed Maya’s arm and told her he needed her help. Maya was mad as she told Armand someone attacked her day watcher Sean. Then a huge guy just beyond the stage said it was him and Adam felt this was a level ten demon - a very old one - an ancient. The baddest of his kind.the level ten demons were monsters who slaughtered women and children for fun. Bathed in blood, had unbelievable strength, and sometimes lived forever as long as the demon didn’t lose his head. They feared no one. Yet Maya managed to behead the demon with his own hand. Adam wants to hire Maya to help him find his niece who is nine years old and named Cammie. To track the kidnappers. Cammie has been taken by one of the Born- a vampire so powerful he’s almost impossible to kill. Maya is intrigued as well as attracted to Adam. She isn't sure what he is though but not human as he has no scent. Maya has been betrayed by someone she used to trust- an ex lover- as well as someone else and the local werewolf pack is after her.
I really enjoyed this paranormal novel. I loved Maya and Adam together and how they interacted and I loved it wasn’t an instant/ lust/love romance. I really liked the plot and the fast pace. This book had: vampires, demons, werewolves, action, danger, intrigue, suspense, kidnapping of a nine year old child, betrayal, a cop turned to vampire who kills vampires and other paranormals, a lot of fighting and so much more. I loved how Maya never thought of herself as a hero actually the opposite. I loved I loved how Maya helped others who weren’t able to help themselves. I really liked the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend.

I received this e-book ia NetGalley and am leaving my honest opinion.

Maya used to be a cop and a good one. That ended one night when she was attacked by a Vampire and turned. Maya may not be a cop anymore but she still patrols at night, ending the lives of evil supernatural beings that prey on the humans. She is also an assassin. She is as kick-ass as she was when she was human and has the reputation to prove it.

Adam has come because he needs Maya's help in finding his neice Cammie. She has been kidnapped and he knows he will never see her alive again. She is the only family he has left.

Maya tries to refuse but Adam is persistant and Maya can't stand the thought of a child's life being ended prematurely. She can't figure out Adam though...he isn't human but what is he?

Someone is out to kill Maya but can they find out who it is and find Cammie?

Will Maya and Adam find Cammie alive? Will they survive? Will they experience something neither has ever felt before?

I have to admit, this author is one of my favorites and I always look forward to one of her stories. This wasn't a favorite for me. I loved it to a certain point and then it confused me for a bit because I felt like so much was being thrown at me at once. I almost feel as if too much was going on. It could have just been me...maybe I was reading when I was overtired?

I like Maya and Adam together and Adam has all kinds of surprises in store. They also work together well and of course there is the attraction....

I have no regrets in reading it and always look forward to the next story from this author.

This book is not a new book, it’s republished and got a new cover, but it’s a still enjoyable book. Just like the first time I read it.. it’s an action packed story with an intriguing love story.

I was given this ARC to give an honest review from netgalley.

Maya is a fighter. She once was a cop. Now she’s a vampire and she’s got quite a reputation. When Adam seeks her out to help him find his niece, it’s the last thing he wants to do. He despises vamps but he’s willing to do and pay whatever he has to for Maya’s assistance. However, the price doesn’t seem as steep the more he gets to know her, and smell her, and taste her much less allow her to taste him.

I loved the suspense and high thrills that run through this story. There was never a dull moment. These characters were both extremely intriguing. I learned to not take Maya at her surface appearance and was so curious about Adam. What exactly is he? Even Maya is unsure.

This is a fast paced read with some incredible secondary characters that I just want more of. The heat level is high but doesn’t overwhelm the story. Both Maya and Adam are well developed and the best part of this book was slowly seeing the real them.

Definitely a book I would recommend to anyone who likes paranormal romance with plenty of suspense and thrills to go with it.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley and Kensington Books. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Blood, sex and fire.

Maya Black was an LAPD cop, in a city that was made aware of the supernatural. One fateful night, after a hard-fought battle against a vamp, she was bitten and died and her life as a vamp began. She was an amazing heroine and she still retained most of her humane characteristics. She was feared by vamps and wolves and demons alike and was something of a mercenary. She really kicked some ass!

For about half of the book, Adam Brody was a mystery. I knew he wasn't human, but just what he was I couldn't figure out (and I'm not sharing the surprise either). His niece was kidnapped and he really needed Maya's help to find her. He was willing to pay any price and his blood was hers for the taking. I thought it was funny every time Maya took the time to try to 'protect' him. I just knew he would be a being even stronger than she was but it made for some amusing times.

What struck me as touching was the fact that although Adam hated all vampires, he couldn't hate Maya. He quickly realized that she was unlike any other vampire he'd ever encountered. For someone who was undead, she had a heart. And the way he was unwillingly drawn to her couldn't be denied. Somehow these two were a match made in heaven... sorta.

I absolutely loved this story! I loved the world the author created, the action and the suspense, and the hints at a story not quite finished. The heroine was as amazing as the hero and there were even some incredible side characters that I'm hoping get their own stories. I wanted more from the ending but I'm crossing my fingers that I'll see these two again.

Demons, vampires, werewolves...oh my!!! This one is easily in my top five favorites of Eden 's work. Immortal Danger is an action packed page turner that I guarantee you will read in one sitting. Adam and Maya give new meaning to the term "power couple". I was absolutely crushed to see it end.!!!!!

Maya was such a kick ass heroine. This starts out with Maya being attacked and turned into a vampire. Even in her last moments of being a human she was a fighter. I love reading about females who kick butt and take names. Vampires aren't known to be good, but Maya still has her cop instincts to protect the weak. She's street smart and has made a name for herself in the paranormal world.

Adam was a bit of a mystery in the first half of the book. You know he isn't human but you don't know what exactly he is. It's hinted that he is very powerful. He only needed Maya because he knew the master to her sire was the one who kidnapped his niece. With her having that link to him, he could use her to track him.

Maya ends up being like no other Vampire Adam has ever been around. He hates vamps but she smells different and she actually protects humans. The longer he's around her the more he wants her.

I loved everything about this! Great heroine, great hero, plenty of heat between the two AND a great story line! This also had some really great side characters. I'm hoping there will be books on them as well. There really wasn't anything I didn't like about this book.

I wasn't sure what to expect with a Prequel, but this book did not disappoint! It was a perfect mix of intense moments and sex filled ones. Immortal Danger is a very entertaining sexy paranormal romance.

Cynthia Eden has a way with her writing that makes everything flow, if you love Paranormal romances, I highly recommend this one.

Advance copy was provided by Netgalley for an honest review.

I love all things Cynthia Eden and this is no exception. Maya and Adam must work together to get Adam's niece back from the vampires that took her. While working together, they also find out they are attracted to each other.

Suspense, action, and great chemistry between Maya and Adam.

This one was interesting. I love kick ass female leads, and Maya did not disappoint. She was once a cop and now is a vampire. Shes fearless, bulletproof and just who Adam needs to help find his niece.
Adam doesnt disappoint either. Hes strong silent and stubborn and determined to do whatever it takes to get Cammie back from the vampires who took her.
He has a secret though and its freaking awesome. I loved this book and cant wait for more.

I love Cynthia Eden's brand of paranormal romance. She has a wonderful habit of shaking things up and playing outside the expected norms and conventions. I understand this is a re-issue of this book, but I'd never read it before so I got to experience it for the first time.

Maya is a kick-ass lady and a kick-ass vampire, literally. First as a cop, she was smart, strong, and excellent. Later as a vampire, she was well, amped up like nobody's business. Her transformation was pretty amazing and she really did have a bit too much power at her disposal. But, all in all, Maya was a badass bitch working to save the populace from some really awful supernatural creatures. She doesn't take crap from others and she doesn't act weak. She's strong inside, not just physically.

Adam is a mystery for much of the book and I liked both the mystery of what he is as well as the mystery of whether he is "good" or "bad" as well. This is especially true since one of the themes Eden plays with is how "good" can be bad when taken to extremes and how "bad" can be good in some cases (see Eden's Bad Things series). Adam's motivations certainly are suspect sometimes, but his love and devotion are never negotiable.

I enjoyed the secondary characters a lot, especially the demons (and one half-demon in particular). The werewolves cracked me up (looking at you Lucas!) and the other vamps were vamps, though I am sure this world has some interesting vampires as well. The humans in this world, both magical and non-magical were awesome. I loved how even though they don't have the physical strength and abilities of the supernatural beings, many of the humans were honorable and strong people. For the record though, I liked the Chameleons best!

Well, except for Adam. And I simply loved (and laughed so hard at) the scene where Adama tells Maya what he is. Her reaction was priceless!

As usual, I have to praise Eden's writing and her characterization. She drew up tension when it was needed; gave some laugh out loud moments, and overall set a good tone and pace for the book. Also as usual, I'll be keeping a look out for more Cynthia Eden books!

This was a fun read. I loved that Maya took charge, and despite her unwilling start became a strong and powerful vampire. Adam was a great character, both strong and secure enough to support Maya. There was plenty of action and steam to keep my interest.

This is a well written paranormal romance. It has suspense, action, angst and hot scenes between the H/h. I appreciated the strong female character. Maya is “kick ass”, that is she has weaknesses and her life has been no picnic but she works to overcome them. I enjoyed and will continue reading the series. I will also recommend to friends.

I was given a free copy of this book by Netgallery in exchange for an honest review.

Cynthia Eden is an author than I can usually count on to deliver a really enjoyable PNR read and Immortal Danger didn't disappoint. Maya was a young cop who was changed one night against her will and has become a killer to those of her kind who do harm to innocent humans. Adam's niece is stolen and he needs Maya to track the kidnappers and makes a deal with her to locate his niece. I'm not going to say what Adam is and ruin the surprise but I loved it. Together Adam and Maya were awesome, their chemistry was explosive and the action nonstop. This is definitely a series I need to continue. Please be aware that this is not a new series it's a rerelease.

When I see a 0.5 as a prequel, I automatically think it’s a novella, but this one isn’t. It’s a full-length novel and it ties in really well with Cynthia Eden’s most recent Night Watch book Never Cry Wolf.

We have the heroine, Maya, who used to be a cop, but it turned into a vampire, sort of accidentally(a vamp ripped her throat open, she shot him, his blood dripped into her blood, yaddah yaddah yaddah-accidental vampire-you know how it is). A few years later the real story begins.

Adam finds Maya in the middle of taking out a level 10 demon (the most powerful of all Others). He’s been watching Maya for a while, actually. He needs her help.

Maya doesn’t help. She looks out for numero uno and she takes out the bad guys-the cop in her didn’t die when her mortal body did.

Adam wants Maya to help her find his niece. She was taken by vampires who are helping the Master vampire to rise. Maya can feel this master’s call in the back of her head, just as any other vampire, but she’s really good at ignoring it.

But Adam intrigues her. At first she thinks he’s human, but he has no scent. Like, at all. It drives her nuts trying to keep him safe, but he seems so fearless. And he keeps putting himself in danger as if it’s no big deal.

But their attraction grows, against both their better judgements, Adam’s kind hate vampires, and Maya still has no idea what he is.

Meanwhile, Maya is betrayed by someone she used to trust, the local werewolf pack is after her, and let me tell you, they’re kind of bad ass.

But Adam is more than any of them guessed.

And so is Maya.

This was an excellent paranormal romance, no doubt. Anyone who wants a Romantic Suspense but with Paranormal aspects should love this book, and this series.

I have not previously read a book by Cynthia Eden but I am so glad I tried this one! I now have another favourite author.

The only books I've ever read by Cynthia Eden have been thriller romances and crime novels. I didn't even know she wrote paranormal romances. I like Cynthia Eden's thrillers, but it seems like the paranormal romance genre is where Eden's writing really comes alive.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought Eden's writing was fantastic. The storyline was well paced and exciting. It was funny, action-packed and at times sweet. I loved the characters, especially Maya who was excellent at every moment.

The romance was amazing. There was so much chemistry between the characters. Plus the sex scenes were super hot!

Immortal Danger was a full-length opener to its series and full of the paranormal romance that Eden originally introduced me to. With a badass heroine that patrols her own kind and a man desperate for her help, the two pairing up created this explosive partnership both on and off the field. The pairing of paranormal with suspense led to a fast-paced and sexy story of two ill-suited characters finding exactly what they were looking for.

I adored Maya's fierceness and how she turned an impossible situation of coming back as a vampire into a form of the career she had as a human. For someone as closed off as she was, it was fun exploring the depths to who she was under that armor and how easily it was unveiled to Adam once he opened his own self up. Their dynamic was rife with secrets and walls, but it made their chemistry even stronger as they navigated them. Even as an older title of Eden's, I could still feel the essence of her writing style and it reminded me of how much I devoured and loved her version of PNR. It could have benefited with being a bit tighter story-wise, but overall was an enjoyable read I couldn't put down.

Maya was a cop in LA, doing her job when attacked by a vampire. Five years later, she is stalked by Adam, a hunky dragon whose niece had been kidnapped by vampires. Maya has a reputation of taking care of the worst the supernatural has to offer, and she is good at her work. Pairing up, the sparks fly, and really becomes a hard story to put down. Great action, great characters and lots of hot scenes, both in and out of the bedroom. Highly recommend this book and author.
