Sweet Retaliation by Mimi Barbour a revenge story with a twist. The first in the Mob Tracker series, you'll get an ending but also want to continue reading the next in the series as soon as you finish. The lead characters are strong and broken (or at least breaking). Together, they change the dynamic completely. So, sweet to watch them grow and change throughout the novel. Lots of violence, so beware. Although it all fits with the story...gangs, mob, etc.

Brilliant start, can’t wait to read more. Intense, sexy and vengeful. Cassi is a brilliant character, intense, strong and unpredictable. Who could guess that she was such a feisty, vengeful character. Whilst I loved trace (how could you not) the quintessential sexy, strong hero but is so fragile and vulnerable in the sense of how he cares for his mother. Brilliant story that flows and works beautifully. Can’t wait for next instalment.

This book kicks into action from the very beginning, Cassi witnessing her brother being killed and Trace, is the cop shot trying to keep her alive and away from the line of fire. A promising start to what looks like a great series. I will definitely be reading more and recommending to others
