Diane Jeffrey has done it again in He Will Find You, an exciting, nail-biting and emotional psychological suspense novel that will keep you glued to the page!

The story follows Kaitlyn Best, a woman stuck in a rut, and Alex, her school crush who offers to make a new life together with her in the depths of the Lake District. What at first seemed to be a happily ever after is anything but that when Kaitlyn realizes there's more to Alex than meets the eye. She embarks on a mission to uncover his secrets, only to discover that she's made a mistake.

With gripping and chilling suspense throughout, Jeffrey’s characters and storyline are perfectly paced to keep the reader at the edge of their seat. He Will Find You will have you gasping with suspense and fearful for the safety of Kaitlyn, as she navigates a new life with Alex in the shadows.

It’s an emotional psychological suspense perfect for fans of BA Paris and Sandie Jones, and definitely not one to be missed!

Many thanks to both NetGalley and to HQ Digital for letting me see an advance reader's copy of He Will Find You. Apologies for the delay. (I've been catching up!)

This is the first story I've read by Diane Jeffrey, and I'd like to read another. Once I got over the naïvety of the main character, I found it to be a gripping, fast-paced read with lots of twists and turns.

The naïvety I think was Kaitlin leaving her boyfriend and travelling from one end of the country to another to be with her one-night stand to whom she has fallen pregnant. While that in itself could be down to hormones, I was a bit annoyed at her for cheating on her boyfriend in the first place.

I think that's good, because it means the character came to life for me.

The ending was a bit far-fetched and could have ended a lot sooner. I have no idea why they all did what they did instead of calling the police, and that spoilt it a teensy bit.

But I did enjoy it and I wish I'd got around to it much sooner.

Four stars.

I would firstly like to thank Netgalley and the publishers for allowing me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

It was an intriguing premise, but honestly the story just moved a tad too fast for me. I still enjoyed this read for the most part, but a slower unravelling story would of definitely done the story more justice.

A really good psychological thriller. You really feel for Kaitlyn as her world falls apart at the hands of a man who is really a stranger to her. I look forward to reading more books from this author.

How well do we really know the people we think we know? Especially if you are pregnant and desperate. This was a very well written book, and I can't wait to grab the next one! Recommended.

A great thriller. Made me feel very tense as the story unfolded between Kaitlyn and Alex.
I would recommend this if you like a tense thriller.

A gripping tale of domestic abuse that twists and turns right up until the end. Kaitlyn was an easy character to warm to, her biggest crime was being rather naive, and she certainly didn't deserve all the misery that was heaped upon her. What I especially liked was that she came from a 'normal' family, where siblings cared about each other and their parents. Ms Jeffrey carefully adds more and more pressure until the situation explodes. As if that wasn't enough, as soon as you're back on your feet, she sends aftershocks your way to knock on you on your backside once more. Thoroughly enjoyable and absorbing, I will be looking for more from this author.

Full review to come.
I deeply apologize, but life is a handful lately and I'm using all my free time to read, not review. I hope everybody understands.

It took awhile for me to get into it, but when I did it was thrilling and tense and so very creepy. Sadly I did have one or two problems with this book, mainly I felt the ending was really rushed. and could have been a lot longer.
On saying that though, I did enjoy the writing style and pleased that I persevered.

Thanks to Netgalley for my copy. 3.5*

This is a psychological thriller/domestic noir. Kaitlyn is coming out of a long term and discovers she is pregnant after hooking up with an old school friend. She then makes the astonishing decision to pack up her life and move north to live with Alex the old school friend. They have been communicating via email. Quite frankly the emails would have been enough to put me off him, creepy and clingy!!!

Anyway it soon transpires that Alex isn't all he is cracked up to be. He is controlling and abusive and Kaitlyn's lovely dreamy life begins to crumble. There are triggers of domestic abuse in this book.

Kaitlyn becomes isolated and dependent on Alex. Whilst the storyline was good and Alex was a great bad guy I did have some issues with it. If a friend of mine took hair from my baby without permission for a DNA sample I am sure I would be extremely angry. Secondly what actually happened to the first wife and the daughters. I felt some questions were unanswered.

What a fantastic psychological thriller this is!!!!!!! It's one of those books where you can't sit still because it's making you nervous and wonder what's going to happen next. Brilliant story and characters. Had me hooked from beginning to end, I highly recommend it. Huge 5 stars.

***SPOILERS***

Thank you to Netgally for the ARC of this book in exchange for an open and honest review.
This sounded brilliant!
No matter where you hide…
Kaitlyn Best is stuck in a rut. So when she discovers she's pregnant after a one-night-stand with Alex, her school crush, she throws caution to the wind and accepts his offer to make a new life together in the depths of the Lake District, far from her home… and her demons.
He will find you.
But Alex is not what he seems. And when Kaitlyn's world begins to crumble before her eyes, she realises she barely knows the man she has agreed to spend the rest of her life with.
Since Alex won't tell her his secrets, Kaitlyn vows to find them out for herself. But when she uncovers the truth, she realises she has made a terrible mistake…
So this book, it had so much promise and could have been amazing...instead it was good. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either. I disliked Kaitlyn as a character as she annoyed me. I found her irritating and didn't feel as sorry for her as I should as part of the problem was her own doing....cheating on her boyfriend and leaving him for someone she didn't know - well that was never gonna end well?! The storyline worked well in that she became isolated, a bit paranoid and made a mess of everything and I loved that Alex's side was full of twists, it added extra to it.
I'm not sure that the ending was right....or not for me anyway, I would far rather have been kept in suspense.
It was a good book, I'm glad I read it but I probably wouldn't read it again. The mixed reviews I have read have been correct so far...very mixed feelings 🤔

This was a cracking story. It drew me in from the first page and had me hooked throughout. I made some guesses of what I thought was going to happen but they turned out wrong! I really enjoyed this psychological thriller and look forward to reading more by this author.

I seem to be following a theme with books lately, psychological thrillers and ones with the hard-hitting theme of abuse, not just physical but mental abuse.

I wondered which path I would be led down with this book, and I had an inkling where it was going when I was reading it. I had previously guessed a twist in the story thanks to some hints from the author but still, when the revealing happened it was still shocking to have it confirmed. The ending albeit no surprise seemed too easy for my liking, but then maybe just once in a while it should be easy, maybe the main character deserves easy and that’s why I haven’t let it get to me, plus I liked Kaitlyn.

I feel now I’ve read so many thrillers like this, you can tell the signs of an unhinged person. You can see there is always something that pulls the MC into a false sense of security and as much as you are screaming at them to get away they stay. There were a couple of twists which I kinda guessed (repeating myself I know!) but what I hated was the way that Kaitlyn felt when she discovered them. Alex had done a complete number on her as her self-worth and confidence is at an all-time low making her question who can she trust. The unreliable narrator plays a part too as when we reflect back we are only seeing part of the picture that we are allowed to see. One supposed enemy not being one at all.

At the beginning of the book, at the end of the chapters, we got an insight of Alex’s wooing and man that was intense. Seriously you need to read the book even if it is just to check out the emails. To me, outside of the situation, it was a clear, flashing red light, loud klaxon sounding warning for me to run to the hills not jump ship and move hundreds of miles away from friends and family! It is easy to forget how everything wrapped up in a pretty bow and a hot body is not necessarily sweet and nice.

When we get to 80% through the book, the intensity begins to ramp up and I felt I was holding on that bit tighter to my kindle as I was speeding through the pages (I was also in the bath at the time and it was cold!). Even though you believe you know where the story is going, something else happens and there is a light at the end of the tunnel and friendships renewed and then BAM! There is one storyline that was never resolved and I really wanted closure on it!

What really happened? Did they get away? Are they ok? If not under the tree where are they? (Are you intrigued yet?)

I loved the sound of how picturesque the Old Vicarage sounded and I would have loved to live there. The imagery of the Lake District sounded breathtaking and it’s somewhere I’ve always wanted to go. So it was nice to imagine it in my head for now.

I was hooked on this book and I read it in a day, the writing flowed and the storyline was easy to lose yourself in albeit screaming loudly! The other comment to make about the writing is that you feel this could actually happen! It was all believable, nothing was too far-fetched, just a disturbed human being, so thinking about it makes this book a tiny bit unnerving.

The story is a whirlwind, a bit like Kaitlyn and Alex, never knowing what destruction is on the way, sitting on tender hooks for the next incident to happen, a feeling of dread and that was just me living it with Kaitlyn, the fear of the unknown. When you learn of Alex and his background, your opinion changes but is this just an excuse? Nature vs nurture? Is he becoming the one person he doesn’t want to become?

This is a thrilling book, but an unsettling one at the same time especially when the big reveal sucker-punches you.

Couldn't put this book down! I read Diane Jeffrey's previous book (Those Who Lie) and absolutely loved it and I didn't think she'd top that one but she has. It is incredibly tense all the way through thanks to Alex's behaviour and things that Kaitlyn starts to uncover and question about him, building up to a dramatic ending. Highly recommend!

He Will Find You has a fantastic way of pulling you in, we meet Kaitlyn as she moves to the Lake District to live with Alex. Now what follows is a very twisty and dark story that at times really left me on edge. I really did get a nervous feeling with the tense atmosphere surrounding the whole story. The plot moves at a good pace as we see Alex and Kaitlyn settle into married life but of course it doesn't run smoothly. I also enjoyed the little snippets of communication showing their relationship before marriage.

The setting of the book really helps to provide a sense of seclusion especially as the secrets and lies begin to surface. Diane Jeffrey has created a story where you feel as if you are right there with the characters experiencing all the anxious and tense moments right along side them. I felt anger, shock and a whole range of emotions while reading this book.

I don't want to go into too much detail as I would hate to ruin anything but what I will say is that if you are anything like me you will be kept on edge right until the end. There really are some brilliant twists and turns that kept things very interesting.

He Will Find You is both tense and twisty. It really is an edge of your seat kind of read!

Four stars from me!

With thanks to Isabel at HQ for my copy via Netgalley.
