A funny strip comic collection.

The stories are Jane's everyday experiences mixed in with some of her daydreams. She has a vivid imagination. She also has a complicated relationship with her co-worker Chelle.

If you expected a continuous memoir style graphic book, this is not for you. Again, it's a collection of comic stories.

I myself don't read a lot of black and white comics, and the font used in the book made it a bit hard for me to read the words. Would've liked it better if the words were easier to read.

Interesting comic strips but not really for me. I thought this was a complete story but it is a compilation of shorter stories. The art is well drawn in black and white. I think this could be enjoyed by people who are familiar withnthe characters and by new readers.

Eh, I guess what I expected was something different from what the book actually was about. I haven't heard of Jane or her comics, then again I don't live in the US (or the UK or Australia). I thought this one would bundle several of her comics together, and in a way they did, but they did it in a way that made no sense to me. I just couldn't follow what was going on. One moment they meet a new co-worker the next they are on a boat together and then there are weird dreams and stuff. And then it seems Jane is in love with Chelle? Whut? How? These two just don't match at all.

Plus the stories were just so weird at times. I mean, the amazon stuff made sense eventually as it was a dream, but aliens? Someone getting turned into a freaking chimp? What the hell? I thought these would just be about the daily life of a woman working at a newspaper, seeing her date girls/woman, flirt with girls/woman. Realistic stuff, not the crap we get in the few comics/stories I read.

Not to mention that Jane was terrible. Sorry, I don't like her character at all. She was so obnoxious and at times it seemed that she could only see her own and not others.

Also, probably due to this being a random bundle of comics, I just couldn't really get the relationships between the characters. Great they added a chart, but sorry, I can't just flip back and forth on an ecopy easily (nor should there be the need to do that).

So yeah, I tried, I dropped it.
