Naomi owns a ranch, and runs out with her gun when she hears a wolf caught in the trap. Finding Wes, who changes into a naked man before her eyes was not what she expected. Wes was chasing some enemy wolves when he stumbled into the trap on her land, and now he had a human to deal with as well. Good chemistry and good story. New to me author, but enjoyed the writing and story. Cover through me a bit though, as it looked more like a mountain lion in the background than a wolf, but maybe it is just me. A little too wrapped up at the end though, as I would have liked to know more about the squabbles of other groups, for example the bears and cats, and more on her ancestry. Other than that, I highly recommend this book, and hope there are more in a series to come.

Naomi owns a ranch and stumbles upon a wolf caught in a trap. When the wolf changes into a man, she realizes there’s more than humans in the world. Wes is a wolf shifter and former pack master of the Wild Eight pack. Now he belongs to the Grey Wolf pack. There are supposed to be no humans on Grey Wolf territory but Wes takes Naomi back for her protection. The Wild Eight’s want her land and they don’t care how they get it. They also want to kill Wes and any Grey Wolves they can. They have partnered up with the enemy and all the packs need to come together to fight them. Can Wes save the woman he’s fallen for or will he lose her over his past?

The first of this book totally confused me but once I got deeper into it, it was really good. Shifters, humans, and other monsters that go bump in the night. Steamy sex scenes and action. Never even heard of this author before but I love paranormal and the book sounded interesting, so glad I read it.

This author was new to me but the cover and blurb captured my attention and I'm so glad I gave it a try.

Naomi and Wes were explosive together. Both of them are protective and quick to anger/action. Wes spends a good share of the book trying to do right but yet he can't change who he is. He is a man of action and sometimes that means defying the alpha in charge. He rationalized that it is for the greater good.

Naomi was a rancher who was just minding her own business when a trap her brother sets captures a wolf and she has to deal with it. Not knowing that this wolf was going to shake her world upside down.

I really liked how strong and independent Naomi was and how even though Wes didn't believe it, she knew he was a good man. He was very strong headed about it but she did what she thought was right in order to help him because that is what you do, when your partner is down you are the person to hold them up and make them believe.

I will be reading more from this author!
