This book is a great story, and if you like to read a paranormal story with a twist. Then this book is for you, both characters has a hot chemistry and you can really relate to them. The emotional connection between them has you wanting more of them.

I was given this arc to give an honest review from netgalley.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this new to me author so this emotional and very dark story was a surprise. It began in a disturbing way as our heroine Helen is quite literally fighting for her life but then moved into astounding and what I can only describe as paranormal territory. She meets Thomas a man who like Helen has suffered greatly but in her company his world just comes to glorious life.
This book is without a doubt a romance but it's origins are definitely supernatural and dare I suggest fated ? This unique storyline opens a can of worms as a serial killer is brought to light but there are unpleasant, creepy undertones of small town bullying and even more disturbing corruption that to my mind doesn't really get addressed although there is a sweet ending for this couple.
Yes its part of a series but worked as a standalone for this reader.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair.

This book by Abbie Roads was an incredibly deep and touching story of Thomas and Helena. Thanks to his stepdad, Thomas can only see black and white…until Helena comes into his life.
The special connection and bond they have is unique and they each have a traumatic history that plays into who they are now.
This is the 3rd book in the series and the twists and intensity in parts of this book had me biting my nails and sitting on the edge of my seat! There are some paranormal events and extremely emotional moments in this book. I didn’t want to put it down!
The characters (main and supportive) and the descriptions in this book were fantastic. I would recommend this book!

I was excited to have the opportunity to obtain an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this book on NetGalley.

Helena spent ten hard years trying to survive prison, serving time for a murder she didn’t commit. Release feels like salvation until she realizes that the world still sees her as a killer, and plenty of people want her dead. But when Thomas looks at her, he doesn’t see a guilty-as-sin felon. She brings brightness and color to his dark and dreary existence. Together they heal each other’s emotional and physical scars.

While Roads puts her characters through a grueling gauntlet of suffering on their road to their happy ever after, she makes the reader care about her story people. Her heroines and heroes have tragic and painful backstories, but instead of wallowing in misery, they come out fighting for the life and love they deserve. From the opening of chapter one, in which Helena battles for her life on the last night of her sentence, I was invested in seeing how the story would unfold. Roads’ writing provides a visceral experience for the reader, creating a page turner tale.

Each book in the Fatal Dreams series is linked to a fable about a mystical warrior woman and her protector mate. Roads makes each couple’s story unique and special, and delivers a fast-paced romantic thrill ride.

Thomas doesn't mind going to the extremes to help his woman, "he put the key in his pants pocket, then met her gaze. “You’re not going to run away from this.” Each of his words was a blow to her defenses. “We’re going to stay in here until you deal with…” He paused as if he couldn’t find the word he wanted. “Everything.” Compassion warred with terrible determination on his face." Thomas isn't one to be interrupted when with his woman, “let me get rid of whoever is out there. Then we need to finish this conversation.” Thomas climbed out of bed and slid on his pants. Bing bong bung. “I’m coming!” He yelled loud enough to be heard a mile away." I liked this book, I liked Thomas.

Wow, this hot thriller lives up to the cover. I enjoyed the unusual plot point of having the heroine be wrongfully imprisoned. Thomas and Helena were great characters.

Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

What brought me into the book was the cover, the title, intriguing, the story kept me enthralled. The story of Helena Grayse and Thomas Brown was full of discovery of themselves and that love and healing that goes along with it. While their touch and healing was not our normal touches it brought color and acceptance to them. A special book and series from Abbie Roads and is one you remember.

**3.5 Stars**

Thomas and Helena are two broken souls coming together in this romantic thriller. Helena is in a prison for murder she didn’t commit, and Thomas is in a mind prison. When Helena is released from prison she meets Thomas from a distance and their connection is instantaneous. They meet one night for the first time when he saves her from her nightmares. From that point forward she tries to run, and Thomas tries to keep her. There is danger lurking in the background and they do not see it coming until one of them gets hurt and the other must save them. Will they realize their connection to one another before it’s too late?

A story of myths and soulmates that will have you confuse the first few chapters until the story finds it’s grove in the middle. Their first two chapters introduce you to Helena and Thomas, but to me it was a little hard to follow along after that. Helena is in a place where she feels like she doesn’t deserve happiness and Thomas fights everyday to see color again. I understood that, and the character background is wonderful, but the myth and fantasy aspect was a little to hard for me to understand in the beginning. The book didn’t pick up momentum for me until 60% or 70% where most of the action took place and then things started to fall into place for me. I do love the plot and dark themes, with a soulmate twist. Helena and Thomas do have some intense chemistry and their attraction can get heated when you least expect it to. This a good story but fell just a little flat because I got confused a few times. This is just my opinion and I liked it not love so much.

Wow what a story! Never Let Me Fall will take you through the ringer with the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. It is the third book in the Fatal Dreams series however you can easily read it without reading the previous books however the other books are so good and I recommend them as well. This is the story of Helena Grayse or Helen as we know her in the story. She has been in prison for 10 years. Convicted of murdering her boyfriend when she was 18 even though she claimed innocence. She stopped talking when she entered prison and now 10 years later she has been released but remains silent to the outside world. Thomas Brown is an outside consultant for the police department. He was abused as a child and has lost his ability to see color. He moves through life but isn't living. What neither of them realize is that their lives will intersect and what happens will answer all the questions that each have if only they have the strength to trust each other and support each other to achieve the answers that they both need. Thomas's sister Evanee is briefly mentioned. Her story was in Hunt the Dawn (Fatal Dreams #2). Never Let Me Fall is beautifully written, haunting in it's memories for our hero and heroines pasts and will keep you riveted until the end. It's written from dual POV and I cannot recommend it enough to fans of paranormal psychological thriller romance!

If your looking for a Paranormal Suspense book that totally unique this is the book for you. I have to admit I was not a Thomas fan. In the early books he was kind if a jerk but after finding out about his childhood I can understand why. I love the recurring reincarnation theme in all the books. You can't help but root for Thomas and Helena they've been through so much. They deserve a HEA. Abbie Roads is on my auto buy list because I know its gonna be a five star read that is unlike anything you've read before! Keep them coming!!

I don't know where the author gets the ideas for her books, but wow, this was so good. I like how the story tied in with the previous books and I loved how the characters are able to heal each other after all that they've been through. I was so into this one that I hated having to put it down for real life stuff lol. I definitely look forward to reading more by this author. I recommend Never Let Me Fall to fans of dark romance with paranormal twists.

Abbie Roads continues to amaze me with her action packed suspenseful romances. She grabs the reader from the very first page ,by placing you right next to the heroine, Helena Grayse, as she fights for her life. The reader is quickly introduced to the hero, Thomas Brown, as he investigates a murder scene. The chemistry between these characters just leaps from the pages, along with their psychic abilities. The element of combining past tragedies with a mind reaching psychic ability truly enhances the story’s suspenseful impact.
The only part of the story I didn’t like was that it ended! I enjoyed being able to connect again with characters from one of Ms Roads’ previous novels. I will be eagerly awaiting the next novel, positive it will manage to leave this great work in the dust! Thank you Ms Roads for your in-depth character development and the ability to make the unlikely possible.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is Book 3 in the Fatal Dreams series. This was the first book that I’ve read by this author. You can read this as a stand-alone, but it would make more sense if you read the first two books. It’s based around a story that Helena’s grandfather told her about the lives of Fearless and Bear but she’s not sure if it’s a true story or not. The story starts with Helena in prison and she’s going to be released the next day, that is if she can make it out alive. I’m not sure if the story of why she’s in prison starts in the first books or not but the part where’s she’s in prison didn’t make a lot of sense. But it doesn’t take that much away from the story. Thomas was severely hurt as a child and now can’t see color. He’s also able to find things out by touching dead bodies. He sees Helena at the cemetery where they are getting ready to bury his mother. The events after that will keep you gripping the edge of your seat. You may even want to make sure someone is in the house with you, so you won’t be along. I really enjoyed reading this book and if you like mysterious spooky things, you need this book. Now I’m off to read the first 2 books. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book from Netgalley.

rah-rah-sis-boom-bah

First, I have to say that book cover is perfect. Black and white with a burst of color between Thomas and Helena. You won't have to invest much time into the book to discover how accurate the cover is.

touch

In the Fatal Dreams novels you learn how important touch is. Thomas and Helena discover their destiny and love for one another. But the most important part of their unique love is all in the touch. Touch heals. Touch protects.

I felt a connection with Thomas and Helena which made the love scenes beautiful and vivid.

Now don't settle yourself down and expect to read about soft bunnies and pretty rainbows. Abbie shows us two sides of a coin. The shiny, bright side and the tarnished, damaged side. It's a dark, paranormal romance with lots of suspense and a sadistic, creepy bad guy.

Final note, Thomas's paranormal ability to read and see shadows of death was awesome! I just love Abbie's creativeness and wonderful storytelling.

I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.

I really like Abbie Roads, but this book fell short for me. I think the main issue was how fast it moved with the sexual stuff. I typically like to have more time to feel connected to the characters, feel out the couple a bit more, before I start seeing things get heated. In this case, the woman is injured, mute, and living in a tent in the guy's backyard, and he acts like this is all normal. No biggie, let's have sex! It was just weird. Didn't feel natural, and I couldn't really understand their relationship after that. It was a bit too odd for me - I got the feeling that it was supposed to be a soul mate type of thing, but it didn't come across that way effectively.

The substance of this book was both terrifying and magical. My heart raced during a few scenes in this book and I underwent the gamut of emotions. Fear, sadness, disgust and anger to pure bliss, excitement and a feeling of relief . This book was dark at times, but it was balanced with hope, love and a touch of magic. I love the connection between Thomas and Helena. Their love was strong enough to overcome the darkness. Their soul's were meant to be together.

This book literally made my stomach shake and curdle with horror! That how good this author is at storytelling. Abbie Roads has written an absolutely fabulous thriller/romance. It has mystery and psychological aspects that are mind blowing. Just when I thought I had things figured out Abbie threw me a curveball. This book keeps you interested and guessing for nearly the entire book. It’s perfect! You are totally invested. The story of Fearless and Bear, a folktale, is one I love and the way the stories Abbie writes are tied together with this story makes it even better. The love between Helena and Tommy is epic and the thing we all search a lifetime for and so well written we feel it deep down. Hopefully you feel from this review how deeply I enjoyed this book. Do yourself a favor and read this and ALL of Abbie Roads’ books.

Never Let Me Fall is book three in the Fatal Dreams series by Abbie Roads. It’s a paranormal suspense story about surviving tragedy and finding a way to save each other.

Helena is an oddball that was raised and home schooled by her grandparents. She was naive and didn’t have much practice interacting with anyone her own age. At eighteen she is convicted of murder and sent to a woman’s reformatory, which is not near as glamorous as it sounds. Still she never gave up. She’s strong, protective, and independent.

Thomas has survived a lot in his life and has the scars to prove it. His childhood was full of tragedy but he doesn’t let it keep him down. He consults for the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI). His past and gifts make him uniquely suited to help the family of victims get justice. He is sweet, honest, and caring

On Helena’s last night in the reformatory, we get a taste of how hard it was for her to survive inside. She was wrongfully accused and that knowledge weighs heavy on her shoulders. Having to constantly fight for her life crushed her spirit and she built up walls around her heart and kept silent to stay sane. Thomas keeps his demons buried deep down but someone releases his family’s darkest secrets for the world to see. It haunts him but now that everyone knows he can no longer hide. His stepfather, the sheriff, is linked to many crimes, but can’t be found. The BCI needs to investigate starting with him as their lead witness, however even as an adult it is impossible for him to speak about what happened.

From the moment Helena and Thomas’s eyes meet they know they need more. They need to know each other, they crave it. One coincidence after another has them stumbling into each other’s lives. Helena won’t speak and Thomas can’t keep his eyes of her. They are both broken in different ways and have reasons to try to keep their pasts hidden. Fearing rejection if their flaws are shown. Not knowing that their damaged souls had so much in common.

The imagery created was beautiful the detail is amazing and pieces together a scene wonderfully. Their connection is instant and feels like destiny. The intensity of it overwhelmed me. The chemistry between them is strong and they fight hard to deny it and not give in at first. The characters have depth and their inner struggles take us on a wild ride. The suspense of what could happen from one moment to the next kept me hooked. The pacing was great. Each touch lit a fire under their skin that only more contact could soothe. I would recommend reading the first two books before this to truly get a sense of the world you’re in.

There was a bit of a wait between this book and the last one that I read in the series, almost two years. I had to refresh my mind, once I did then the story flowed smoothly.
All the pain that both Helen and Thomas had to endure would have ruined most. But together they overcome quite a bit.
