Never let Me Fall is the third book in the Fatal Dreams series. It features Thomas Brown, who uses his special powers to work with criminal investigators to solve crimes. Helena Grayse and Thomas are thrown together but little do they know that a serial killer is closer than they would like. If you haven't read this series I highly suggest you start from the beginning.

Abbie Roads writes another winner! She is fast becoming the type of author where you see her name and buy her book, because you know it'll be good!

Thomas Brown suffered greatly at the hands of his stepfather, who abused him. He wore the abuse on his face from the damage caused when he was a little boy. To try to shield himself, he kept the abuse to himself. An injury left not just a scar and loss of seeing colors, but an ability to see the shadow of death. An ability that as an adult, he used in law enforcement to help solve crimes.

Helena Grayse was serving time for murder of her boyfriend, Rory Elis. She also has suffered from abuse at the hands of women inmates, who refer to themselves as The Sisters. Despite many attempts on her life, Helena has survived. When she is released, Helena decides to pay respects to Rory Ellis and her grandparents. Nostalgia pulls her back to her grandparents' home where happy memories reside.

A chance encounter between Thomas and Helena leaves them both feeling a deep connection. Helena is too aware of how people view her and plans to leave Sundew, Ohio. When Thomas discovers Helena camping on his property, he'll move heaven and earth to get Helena to stay with him.

If you enjoy paranormal romantic thrillers, then you'll love Never Let Me Fall. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley via Sourcebooks Casablanca and have provided an honest review.

I’ve never read a storyline quite like this. It was suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to find out what would happen next.

Sometimes the transitions between scenes were choppy and a little confusing but if you push past those, this is an intriguing and edgy read.

It’s been a long time since I’ve felt a book was worthy of all five stars, but Abbie Roads has broken that streak!

Never Let me Fall is a wild ride following Thomas and Helena!

This book was enlightening, interesting, and all consuming. I was obsessed from the first chapter to the very last word.

Abbie has a way of bringing her characters to life, even when they couldn’t possibly exist. (Or maybe they could, who really knows!)

My only complaint is that Thomas’ “ability” wasn’t more prevalent throughout.

That being said, this may be one of my top reads for the year!

This book was amazing!
The way Abbie Roads writes makes you feel like you're watching the story unfold.
The story is so full of adventure, with lots of twists and suspense that I was on the edge of my seat on and off through the book.
As the plot unravels you see some romance with some strange paranormal happenings. It's intriguing how the story reads, I found it fascinating.
I love the characters they are also very interesting.
I can't wait to read more from this author.

Wow I’ve never read a storyline quite like this. It was suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to find out what would happen next yet it was also so sweet how the two main characters found each other and brought the best of each other out. My heart broke for them then it cheered them on as they were finally getting their happiness they much deserved. I felt every emotion in this story it was just so good well written. I haven’t read the other books in the series prior to reading this one but I didn’t feel lost or like I needed to but I definitely want to now.

I was very intrigued by the description of the book and wanted to read it. So glad I did. What a totally different story than I've ever read, but I loved it. To get the full affect I think I need to go back and read the other books in this series, which I look forward to.

I felt this book was very suspenseful and had great twists and turns. Helena is released from prison having survived crazy danger behind bars. Now a convicted felon, Helena is starting her life completely over. Thomas Brown has led a life in darkness and shadows, having lost the ability to see color due to an injury in his childhood. When he sees Helena he sees color. That in itself is interesting but throw in all the other details and nuances and this book is one you'll find hard to put down.

I'm sorry but I just couldn't finish this book. I have never read any of the authors previous books so I did not know what I was getting myself into. This book had too much of my triggers that it definitely needs a disclaimer before you read it. All I can say is that it has rape, molestation, physical abuse, mental abuse, pedophilia and magic (sure ok).

I love Abbie's books so much and when I was granted to read an advance reader's copy, I was so excited!!!

Never Let Me Fall, love the story and the characters. In this book, you'll see the connection of each of the characters in the previous books in the series (si I advise you guys to read the first 2 before reading this one). Anyway, the story is good and I love how I easily connected the dots in the story of the series. Overall, it's good. It's not 5 star, not as amazing as the other ones but it's still a good story.

This book was dark and great. I enjoyed that Thomas could see people's lives by a touch but was saddened that he could only see black and white...until Helena who changed everything. The story was suspenseful and I can't wait to read another one in the series!!

A big thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebook/Casablanca for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the third in a series, I have not read the others. While I think this reads well as a stand alone, it is possible that the things that I was confused about were previously explained. I found "the connection" confusing as it was never really explained. This is the story of Helena an innocent felon and Thomas someone who only sees in black and white. As soon as Thomas is near Helena, he sees in color! Terrible, mind boggling things have happened to each of them-yet they continue to move forward. This book depressed me with the violence that people can inflict on each other, but also inspired me on the resilience and hope of love. Helena is terrified and rightly so, and Thomas just wants to be near her. This is a good entertaining read. I rate it a solid 4.

This book by new to me author, Abbie Roads, had me feel so many emotions: sadness, horror, disgust but then hope and happiness.

This is book 3 of the Fatal Dreams series. Unfortunately I did not read the first two in the series so I didn’t have the connection to the characters, but I did not feel too lost reading this book. This story is about Thomas and Helena, two individuals that has had such horrible things happen to them that I honestly was not able to comprehend how they were still able to remain sane.

We begin the story with Helena in prison for a crime she did not commit; she has been incarcerated for the last ten years and was to be released the next day. The beginning scene, actually the first sentence had gripped me. I felt so much sadness and horror for what Helena went through while in prison and then when she was finally released. We then meet Thomas, he too is introduced as a tortured soul who had gone through a horrible childhood where he lost the ability to see color. Without going into too much detail and giving away the story, these two are star-crossed lovers that has this amazing connection that you just can’t help but root for them. The story was fast-paced with lots of twists and turns and some surprises (not always in a good way!) and it was very unique.

All in all, this was an interesting story and kept me engaged and rooting for their happily ever after.

Thank you Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for giving me the opportunity to read this complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

Thank you Netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca for allowing me to read Never let me fall for a honest review. I recently just finished Abbie Roads' first 2 books in this series and couldn't wait to read Thomas' story.
I loved the fable of Fearless and Bear and it is once again featured here. The story is the same dark, gritty paranormal romance as Race the darkness and Hunt the dawn and picks up where Hunt the dawn ends. Helena is the perfect fit for Thomas! The story is fast=paced, lots of action, but has some uncomfortable scenes with the evil Stepfather. Sometimes its worse thinking about what is happening rather than being shown. This is Abbie's strong suit in her stories. I hope there is more!

Intriguing potential, but it just didn’t work for me. The “bear” and the premonitions were confusing. Maybe if I’d read earlier books (I’m assuming there are others), then I wouldn’t be so confused and left saying “huh?”. The two main characters were interesting, but so mired down from their pasts that it was hard to see positive in them. All-in-all, I can’t recommend this.

Not really my type of read. I gave it a go, tried it and even thought it wasn't for me, the writing was good and it flowed very well.

Dark and edgy thriller that incorporates paranormal along with the main characters being connected on a mythological base around a centuries old legend of two star-crossed lovers.

The author sure likes to put uncomfortable storylines in her books. I never think she can top the last book on the torturous past of the main characters and twisted things the villain does but she manages it every time.

This being the third book in the series I noticed that too many parts of each book are closely similar and interchangeable. I get the series is around the long dead star-crossed lovers of Fearless and Bear but when you know the plot points ahead of time and even what is going to happen in the book that's a little too cookie cutter for me. I'd point out the exact similarities in each book but for those that haven't read the series that would be spoilery.

Fatal Dreams is a unique series that walks the line of paranormal, thriller, horror and romance. Even though I was a little disappointed with similarities between the books I still recommend this series to fans of the genre..

This series is such a different concept than any other out there. Based on reincarnation and the possibility that a soul would be in many. This book is better than the first two, but feels like it leaves openings for more. I really want to know what happens when all the parts of Bear and Fearless come together again. The HEA made me cry and want a love like that. Good job, once again Abbie.
