A note is left on the door of Susannah and Max's home that states: I KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

CREEPY! That sets the whole stage for who are they? what could they have done? what is going on? I was instantly hooked! This was a fun read trying to figure out not only what that note meant but figuring out the dynamics of the couple. I really enjoyed this one.

This was a pretty decent thriller. I wasn't too connected with the characters. The writing was simple and to the point and I think I would recommend this based on the style of writing and a nice twist for the thrill.

The tension absolutely didn't let up in this one. I loved the slow building dread and the sense that Suzanne and Max had to constantly look over their shoulders. The twists were well done and I hadn't guessed at what was coming. Highly recommend.

Thank you to St. Martin's Press and Netgalley for providing me with an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book blew my mind! I've been craving an excellent thriller, one that I couldn't put down, and this one delivered. There were twists and surprises that I didn't see coming. It's a page turner and I read it in a few hours. Highly recommended, especially for fans of thrillers.

The reviews are highly mixed for this book, so I had no clue if I would even like this book when I picked it up, but I ended up kind of liking it. This was a quick, entertaining, and fast-paced story.

The story contained a few twists and turns, making this quite an enjoyable read. The whole time I was definitely trying to figure out who was lying, who was telling the truth, who has the biggest secret? So many questions to be answered! If you need a good escape and a short, fast-paced story – this one is for you!

This is the second of Thomas Christopher Greene's novels that I've read. Back in 2016, I read and loved IF I FORGET YOU, and knew that Greene was a must-read author.
With THE PERFECT LIAR, the author takes a more tour more firmly into the thriller/mystery genre, and it's excellent. The author's prose and character work is superb. The pacing of the novel is just right, and the plot pulled me through from the start.

A must read author. Very highly recommended. Can't wait to read more by Greene.

I was not impressed with this book. I did not like the characters at all. At first, I kept reading, hoping it would get better but it did not. I started skimming the book. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review. Receiving the book in this manner had no bearing on my review.

This wasn't my favorite TCG novel. For one thing, the buildup was too slow for my liking. The chapters were very, very long. But the "big reveal" was definitely very clever. Thank you, Netgalley, for this arc. I'm glad I read this.

Hmm. I read this book all the way through, enjoyed some of the prose, and generally found it engaging. Unfortunately, I almost immediately forgot everything about it after finishing, and there was really only one "twist" and no surprises at all. It was... fine.

This was a very well written thriller read, and everything is questioned from the beginning. This is recommended for anyone who loves a good read.

I loved Greene’s last novel, The Headmaster’s wife, but this story fell short for me. The liar of the novel’s title has an interesting backstory which is very well written and engaging, but the present day parts of the story and the writing from the point of view of the wife was slow and Took up far too much of the novel. The wife wasn’t a well developed enough or interesting enough character to narrate so much of the story, and having the majority written from the husband’s perspective would have been much more intriguing.

This well done thriller explores how a husband has taken over someone else's identity and how things begin to unravel as his wife starts to learn what's going on. The book is broken down into only about four very long chapters, the exact opposite of a James Patterson book. The effect of his lies are toxic and are tearing about his family. Highly recommened.

It seems as though 2018 was the year of "Lies". So many books released with "Lies", "Liar" or some variation of the word. So each book had so much to live up too. This book was very intriguing. I was captivated from page 1 and did not want to put the book down. The twists were somewhat predictable though.

This one was just OK for me. I’m not a huge fan of the alternating points of view and I’m feeling like it’s a bit overdone. The whole plot was a bit predictable. The married couple with secrets, the secret notes left behind, etc. I am over the unlikeable/unreliable narrator.

Gone Girl wannabe.

I read this book because of the description and excellent reviews. This book had a great storyline. However, the writing style wasn’t my favorite. I thought the book dragged along. I didn’t find the characters to be likable. It was disappointing because it had such good potential to be a great book.

The ending was the redeeming factor.

I received this galley from NetGalley.

Are they predator or prey, this is well written, fast paced and with a few twists and turns to keep the reader on their toes.

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to preview this ARC of The Perfect Liar by Thomas Christopher Greene.

Susannah and Max and seem like such a nice family. Max quickly took in Susannah's son from a previous relationship, and they are thriving and happy. Which is why it's so startling when they're given a note threatening to expose them. But who is it addressed to, and what do they each have to hide?

I was definitely into this, and I always love to guess whodunit. This was a bit too easy to figure out though, and the ending fell a bit flat for me.

"The Perfect Liar" was the first novel that I've read by Thomas Christopher Greene, and I'm definitely looking forward to reading more by him after finishing this one. "The Perfect Liar" is the story of Susannah and Max, a seemingly perfect couple. Susannah, a young widow and her 15-year-old son, and Susannah's new husband, Max, her artist husband, have just moved from New York City to a quiet town in Vermont, where Max has accepted a position teaching art classes at the local college. However, one morning, upon arriving back home after a run, Susannah finds a note on her door stating "Did you get away with it?" Thus comes the unraveling of the relationship between Susannah and Max, both who are keeping secrets from the other. The story, told from alternating points-of-view between Susannah and Max, kept me wanting to read on!

Thank you to NetGalley and St Martin's Press for providing me with an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
