If you ever want to get a taste of Dragons this series is a great on one to get into. The author has made the characters so human but the problems so magical and they story keeps you guessing right till the end. When Roman and V who are Dragon Kings go on the several years search for V’s sword the don’t expect to meet a gypsy girl Sabina and her brother Camlo who know how to find it. Just Camlo’s vision and Sabina’s help are like a map but the journey is very dangerous and even though Dragon Kings are almost impossible to kill it can be done. I loved Romans character and I think there maybe more to V’s character than we know but it makes me look forward to the next one.

ARC received for review

Roman and V go in search of V's missing sword. They encounter Sabina and her brother, Camlo. I loved Camlo. He was a great addition to the story. Roman and Sabina's journey to find the sword is full of adventure and near mishaps and sexy times in a hot spring or two. They get help from Ulrik, Eilish and Rhi. It's nice to see the other side of Ulrik, and my dislike for V is going away.

Now who the heck are the Others, and how long will it take to get rid of them? Hopefully, not another 20 books.

Who is Rhi's Dragon King?

A big thank you to NetGalley and St Martin's Press for the ARC.I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of the Dark King's Series. I have found that while I like part of these stories, I truly am not into the entire Fae world. It apparently is not my thing. I just wanted to read about Sabina and Roman, I liked these characters. I skimmed when it wasn't about them. So I have a skewed perspective. 3 stars.

The Dark King series continues with the story of V, who has awakened from his dragon sleep and is anxious to recover his sword. Unfortunately, he has no real memory of what happened and he recruits the help of Roman. Once they reach Carpathia, V's original home, they meet Sabina and her brother who know about a Romany legend concerning the dragons. This is the knowledge that V needs and the group travels together to Iceland to recover the sword.

There are a lot of interesting interactions here between the Dragon Kings, the humans, the fae, and the druids that build on past stories. This story can stand alone as enough background information is provided to keep it all clear.

Thanks to the publisher and to NetGalley for an ARC; all opinions are my own.

Deeply dark, but sultry and alluring. I didn't anticipate loving this as much as I did. I enjoyed this one. Interesting journey, depth of characters. Really nice read.

I totally love this series! The author is one of my favorite paranormal romance writer, I found the heroine and her brother fascinating and love how they integrated into the Dragon world. Another excellent installment to the Dark Kings series!

Book Review- Dragon Fire by Donna Grant

I love the Dragon Kings and the stories this author comes up with. You would think things would eventually settle down for these guys. Not the case. Roman is going to accompany V to find his sword which was stolen from him years ago. These two Kings are on a mission to keep V sane. They end up in Romania looking for answers.
Sabina lives with her brother. She is a descendant of the ones who stole the sword. Her grandmother told her the story. So, the author truly presents quite the conflict. This story was interesting in the fact that Sabina is pulled into the situation in more ways that being a descendant. I like how the whole thing was planned. They were following exactly what the Druid-Fae group wanted them to do.
The author introduces this small faction of the two groups that plan to get rid of the Dragon kings. They have the knowledge and the power to threaten the Kings. Add that to the tenseness between the Dark and the Light, Queen Usaeil, Rhi and the Reapers. All these characters from the different books are connected, which I love, and the story continues in each one. I love the characters that have been created in this series. I have yet to find one I truly dislike. This book is full of suspense and awesome characters. I give it a 4 out of 5.

I know, it took me some time to review this book. Honestly, it was such a good book that I had to process my mind on how to write everything. For one, it made me want to read ALL the DK books again. I mean with all the revelation and stuff, there must be a clue who Rhi's DK is...at the same time, i felt i just have to wait and see.

Dragonfire holds so much info that you need to fully immersed yourself to Donna's world just to keep track of what is happening. Reading and truly understanding the way each the characters behave gave me insight and on how their life was. Each of the Dark world series was imbued to each other to have this complex world where we read about dragons, the warriors, the druids, and the fae.

The question is, will there be another series connected to this? Or will the Dark Series be at its end?

Nevertheless, this is one good book to read. My review may not look like a review to some, but with everything that is happening, should i just focus on the romantic side of the book? I think not.

I will not call her queen, because she is not one..her time will come, and I will be sooo happy to read what the future hold with her. For the other issues, they will have their time. But i dare say, having Ulrik back was the best decision EVER! Con needs a confidant, and with him around, we get to see Con as a normal king would react to the things happening around him. And it made me long to hug him. The burden he carries is too great, and with Ulrik by his side once more, i hope that it will lessen.

New dragons...means new books...the same with the Reaper...let us hope these new people can help to whatever the future will hold.

With book fourteen in the Dragon Kings series, Donna Grant returns with DRAGONFIRE. This book is about Roman and Sabina. Generally, I really like both the heroes and heroines in this series. They are strong without being so in your face about it and although there wasn’t anything specific that I hated about these two characters, I also didn’t fall in love with them the way I thought that I would.

I enjoyed the subtle differences that Grant added into this book. I liked Sabina’s backstory and her personality, but she doesn’t come across as a heroine that will stick with me. I would describe this book as a slow burn because everything, even the romance, does take a while to heat up.

Grant’s style of romance never has been that intense. However, it is still potent enough to hold my attention. Unfortunately, this time I didn’t feel the burn quite as strongly this time. But I can still say that I’m a fan of this series. Grant’s paranormals are my favorites of hers and despite not being completely won over by Roman and Sabina’s story this time around, I will still continue to read this series.

Wow this story has so many twists and turns that I never saw coming and I was intrigued by the complexity of this story, something that we don’t always get to experience. Donna Grant has made her Dragon Kings into one of the most amazing, intense, and intricate groups of heroes and the war they are fighting just gets deeper and deeper with enemies and battles. Roman and Sabina’s story has apparently been in the making for millennia, unbeknownst to either of them and I could not wrap my mind around everything initially. Donna managed to take us back and forth through time, in and out of the bowels of the earth and through the pitfalls of a heart won and lost all in the space of a single novel, without losing a single bit of the magic she is so famous for. I loved every single second of this novel and seeing Sabina and Roman finally find one another and get their HEA, even as I cried to see the difficult choices they were faced with along the way. Sabina is a woman that has given up a lot in her quest to fulfill her family obligations and promises, even as she found a way to live a small piece of her dreams. When she is faced with the decision to leave it all behind to do what her heart tells her is right, she never hesitates showing that she is truly a woman to admire. I loved getting to see her stretch her wings and find her footing in the world and with the Dragon kings, even as she fell in love with the one man she knew she shouldn’t. Roman has ventured out to find the sword whose loss has haunted him for millennia, never realizing that in the process he’d find not only the love of his life, but another twist in the war they were fighting. He has always been a bit of a secretive and withdrawn character to this point so getting to learn more about him and his past while also seeing him fall in love was magical. The heat between these two is palpable from the very beginning even as it baffles them both, but as we learn just how important they are to one another’s past, present, and future it becomes evident they were always meant to find one another in the darkest of moments and be the light for the other. I am dying to find out what is next in this intricate and miraculous world that is intertwined with several other series by Ms. Grant as well, but most importantly I am dying to find out who Rhi’s King is and if they will reunite…You are killing us, Donna!

Another great installment to the series. I'm continuing to enjoy this. Roman and Sabina's story was both fascinating and fulfilling. The prophecy of the missing sword really hit all my buttons of things I enjoy reading about.

I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Dragonfire was a pretty good book but it did feel like it was dragging in some areas. I liked getting to know more about the legendary dragon, named V, and I do have some favorite characters here and there that made me happy.. but the little drama or relationship testing was meh to me this time around. Maybe I need a break from the romance department?

My love for Rhi grows more and more. I seriously can't get enough of her and I just want her to be freaking happy for once. Can someone please heal her broken heart now? Then there's Roman and Sabina.. and I'm like, eh. They were cute - I guess. Out of that couple, I enjoyed getting to know Sabina's brother - lol, yes .. you read that right. Camlo was amazing and I just enjoyed the crap outta him.

Other than all of that, I loved this book. I can't wait to dive into the next one because I'm secretly still hoping for Rhi to find happiness now! PLEASE LET IT HAPPEN!

Donna Grant is one of me new favorite authors. I couldn't put down Dragonfire. This book was so good that I started reading the next book right away.

I received an ARC of this from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was the first book I've read in this series and the first one I've read by this author. Even though I totally suggest reading the series and reading them in order, I still really enjoyed this novel. It had just the right amount of myth, magic, dragons, romance, and the supernatural. The story line is obviously one that is ongoing and seems to be very complex. I wasn't lost at all but it did make me want to read the rest of the books to find out more of the characters stories. This was a quick read for me simply because I managed to get right into the story from the beginning. I'm looking forward to catching up on this series, checking out more of Donna Grant's other series, and also to her writings for this series in the future.

Dragonfire was a good edition to this spell binding series. I loved Sabina and Roman. My favorite character in this book was definitely Camlo. He was such a great supporting character. Though i did enjoy this book there was a lot that dragged. I had trouble going back and forth and keeping track of all if the characters. It was almost to much information stuffed into this book. A lot of the content could have been taken out to make the book alot more enjoyable and more fun to read.

This was a great addition to this series. Each story gets more convoluted and the world builds to a more intricate level with each passing novel. I also like how you could read each book as a stand-alone and it’s fantastic, or you can read them in order and it builds to this immense world that just envelops you. Fantastic storyline, great pace and plot, and I love the setting that this one is set in! Fabulous job, and thank you for the opportunity to review this work!

I absolutely LOVED this story!!

Once again this was a gripping storyline from the author! It was extremely well written and flowed very well. The plot line was great and I found the book completely addictive!! I loved the characters and catching back up with them. The story is literally "out of this world"

It is a pity that you can only go up to 5 stars on Goodreads and Amazon as I would have given this one more!! Another exceptional story from Donna Grant - looking forward to what she releases next very highly recommended!!

I loved this book! I love everything Donna Grant writes. But this series has a special place in my heart. I have re-read this whole series so many times and it gets better with each and every book.
