Monica went into the wedding reception that should have been hers and Matt- the rats. She was drunk but did make it to the platform where speeches had been given and she told the people there she was suppose to be the bride and that Matt had stolen all her money and then married the floozie- Josie- who was now Matt the rats new bride. Matts new brother in law Ryder literally put Monica over his shoulder and carried her out to his truck and took Monica from the reception. Monica is very drunk and wants revenge and tells ryder she will give him fifty thousand dollars to marry her because Matt will be jealous if he thinks she is happily married to fryder. Ryder desperately needs money to sink in his ranch and his horse therapy program he wants to start. A tornado had badly damaged his barn. The bank was knocking at his door and wouldn’t give him a loan. She can be Rapunzel and he can be her prince. Also Ryder thinks of the look on his ex- Stephanie’s face when he sees Monica on his arm as Ryders new bride. Ryder agrees to marry monica and the go to Vegas Ryder has Monica sign an agreement about a partnership in the ranch and would split the profits until she got her money back she had invested into the ranch. Monica was a photographer in the fashion scene and was making a name for herself. Matt had taken all her money all she had was her last paycheck for money. When Monica comes to she has no idea where she is or what has happened until Ryder tells her and says she can’t leave the ranch until he has the money she promised him he kept his part of the deal and married her.
I enjoyed this book . It wasn’t realistic as far as I am concerned but a fun summer read. This was a light easy read. . I did chuckle at times while reading this. I did love Ryder and Monica together and how they interacted with each other. I liked the pace and the plot. I liked the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend.

“It’s the real McCoy,” he said, and his voice cracked. “The kind that convinces you to climb castle walls and rescue a drunken princess because there’s just something about her that you can’t ignore. The kind that doesn’t give a rat’s ass if she has fifty thousand dollars to rebuild a broken-down barn or not. The kind that has you thinking it might not be so bad to leave the ranch once in a while and spend a couple months in Chicago.”

I really enjoyed this book and stayed up all night to finish it. It was a fun, light and a cute story. My issue with the plot was that somethings just did not make sense to me and that there were not many events that took place in the book, but I still had fun reading it. Another thing that bothered me was the POV twist, now, I love duo POVs, but it should be clear whose POV I am reading, it was kind of unclear until I got to the middle of the first paragraph or sometimes even to the second or third.

I liked Monica's character, she was fun to follow. Meanwhile, while I liked Ryde there were things about him that I just could not comprehend. For instance, why did he accept the proposal when the bride that they were kind of going against was his own sister? However, I liked how OK he was with her quirks and even encouraged her instead of doing the opposite.

Overall, it was such a fun and fluffy read full of horse and ranches and cowboys, that you will be swooned by it right from the start.

This books has on page sex but only mild cussing (no f-bombs). While the sex isn't over-done and doesn't overshadow anything in this one, if open door sex will cause you to leave a bad review, you should skip this one.

The plot of this book is absurd and ridiculous, but instead of trying to pretend that it's totally normal and taking itself too seriously, this book luxuriates in it's absurdness in the best way possible. (That's a compliment, I swear.) The characters fully acknowledge how off-kilter their circumstances are, but they're determined to make the best of a bad situation. Ms. Betts handles this plot with incredible humor and excellent writing, making the first three quarters of this book one of the best fake relationship books that I have read recently. The humor kind of goes off the rails a bit in the last quarter of the book, trading laugh out loud moments for “look at how edgy and hipster Monica is” moments, but it wasn't enough to cost this book a star because the beginning was that strong and the happily ever after was done just right. (Also, gold star to Ms. Betts for the Little Texas references.)

The characters in this book were excellent - Ryder was gruff and growly and oh so sexy, while Monica was a total hot mess who, even while you'll cringe at her behavior at the beginning, you can't help but root for because, really, don't we all wish we could do the same thing if we were in her place?

I would recommend this book to anyone who doesn't take life too seriously and enjoys a good laugh while reading, and also to anyone who enjoys seeing two fish out of water find love in the most unexpected of partners. I hope that Josie will find her happily ever after.

What a fun read this is! I loved it. When a disgruntled and very drunk jilted bride disrupts her now ex fiance's wedding reception, it's up to the brides brother Ryder to toss her over his broad shoulder and haul her out of there before she can do any more damage. Dressed in her wedding gown, and completely toasted she comes up with a plan to get even with her ex, while helping Ryder out as well. All they have to do is get married. Ryder isn't too sure until she makes an offer he can't turn down. His ranch is mid recovery from a tornado, money is tight which has set his dream of opening an equine therapy school in the barn he lost. With the money from Monica or Rapunzel as he calls her, he can get his barn repair, pay a few bills and lessen his stress. Only problem is that her slimy ex, who is now married to Ryder's sister took off with her 50k and she's broke. She's from Chicago and a photographer. She's got no way to pay Ryder, so Ryder pretty much takes it out of her hide. He's got no patience for a city girl, she's got no clothes, no shoes nothing. He's got her mucking stalls and pretty much like the manure she's cleaning up. Every time she tries to leave he snags her back.
He hasn't told anyone they're married and when his mother catches wind, she insists they send them on a honeymoon. No coincidence they end up where her ex and his sister are, because Monica has a plan to get into his laptop and get proof he took her money. What she finds is so much more. By then Ryder realizes she's not lying about the money and when they're called home due to an emergency they leave together. These two have finally warmed up to each other. Took them long enough. There's so burn and slow burn.... when Ryder hits the igniter switch there isn't much to stop the two of them. It was great watching Monica warming up to ranch life and Ryder. Monica runs the whole gamut of emotions being embraced by not only his family but the whole town even though she tried hard to alienate them a little. She figures that after she gives Ryder his money he won't want her there. The story really takes off just past the half way point and it doesn't stop until the last page.
I had a little trouble with Ryder at first, but Monica was a hoot, even in her worst moments. There are some good laughs couched into the storyline and these two really are a fairy tale come to life.
Loved it. Loved Rumpy! Read the book! Heidi tells a great story...

One Wedding, Two Brides is Ryder and Monica’s story. After being jilted and cheated by her fiancé, Monica decides to crash is wedding to another woman. The bride’s brother, Ryder, is tasked with throwing the drunken Monica out of the reception and that is when the fun begins. You can feel the chemistry between Ryder and Monica and the dialogue is sharp and witty. This was definitely a fun read!

This book was AWESOME!

On one side of the bed we have a Monica Blair, she was having the time of her life, preparing to get married to her boyfriend and soon to be partner when she opens up the newspaper to find the engagement announcement for her fiancé… with another woman. The next thing she knows it’s two days later after she read the paper, and she is now lying next to a blue-eyed, smooth-talking cowboy in the middle of nowhere and with two rings on her finger… what the hell…?

On the other we have Ryder Nash, who has a big case of commitment-phobia and almost won a price for the last man on earth you’d ever seen walking down the aisle, next to the woman who crashed his little sister’s wedding wasted beyond reason next to him. He literally met her no less than thirty six hours ago and he already tie knot. He works in his ranch, which has BIG financial problems and needs cash pronto, so when the solution appear in front of him as a city girl with pink-streaked hair and a frog tattoo who only needs to make her ex jealous for 50k, what is there to think?

So this is where things get tricky, apparently she doesn’t know what happen or what she said and she doesn’t have any money, so what now? Easy, you clean out stables and try to keep your hands to yourself… for both of them.

The story was unexpected and I have to be honest I almost quit in the first chapter, because WTH!? But I promise you, in the next ones it gets better and it will only keep getting better and better. Their chemistry is undeniable and jumps out of the pages, the ending is beautiful, but I have to say I wanted more. Don’t get me wrong it was awesome, but I’m greedy that way…

This is a definitely must read!

I received a copy from NetGalley; this is my honest review. #OneWedding,TwoBrides #NetGalley
-Funny, over-the-top hilarious but believable situations.
-Incredible ideas never bested by anyone but herself, Monica keeps her good stuff in her cleavage - just like me. Ryder loves his horses more than his truck, and that's saying something. He usually keeps a clear head or tries to, which is just as funny.
-A bit of drama, but not too much. An unexpected end in many ways too.
-There is another story going on in the back and that has a cliffhanger but not the romance.
-A few things were confusing: 1. She never had a one-night-stand but keeps condoms in her camera bag just in case; she also has a code call w/her friend when one would disappear for a few hours. 2. She wants separate rooms but they've been sleeping together since they've been married; what's the point? 3. Dyed hair, tofu-eating, navel ring, frog tattoo, left-wing slogans: they've been together a while; did he miss something while she was eating or speaking? 4. A few scenes looked suspiciously like the ones in The Rent-a-Groom by Jennifer Blake.

This was a really good book, it had some laugh out loud moments and the character development was really well written. Haven’t read any books by this author, but I will definitely read her books in the future

I really enjoyed this story. As not only was it extremely entertaining, charming and easy to read. But the two main characters were likable, fun and memorable. And I was completely engaged throughout. And if you're looking for a fun, easy read or enjoy stories that feature fake marriages/fake dating then you should definitely check this one out.

Reliable cowboy meets crazy wedding crasher. Whilst their meeting and the beginning of their marriage was quite unorthodox this couple definitely felt a connection from the beginning. Well written with humour, lust, love and genuine affection. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend.

I loved the characters they were all someone you could see being your friend or family. You will be hooked with characters like Monica and Ryder and even Matt the Rat lol. You will wish Ruth Ann and Jordan were your parents.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I absolutely loved it. I honestly do not think that I have ever laughed so hard while reading a book like I did this one. Monica and Ryder had chemistry from the start. They were such different people with such different life styles. As I was reading I was never really sure where the story was going but I found it to be so funny and dramatic at times that I just could not put it down. I liked the friendship that developed between the two of them and you could see how much they were both coming to mean to each other but they never really came right out and admitted it to the other. The book just kept me guessing until the very end. I cannot wait to see what happens next in this series. Thanks Net Galley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book is a light, fun read, and not a bad way to spend a few hours. However, I personally wasn't riveted to the story and probably won't even remember what it was about in a couple of weeks. The book was a lot of fun in the beginning, but I found myself skimming the middle of the book because my attention was waning. This is my first book by this author, and I would probably give another book a try to see if I felt more of a connection with the characters/story.

Loved this book! It starts with a bang in the ultimate of wedding disruptions, then moves on to a quickie wedding and lots of fun/awkward situations. The author made me smile and laugh at some of the antics in this book, while also telling an entertaining tale.

This is the second book I've read by this author and she is quickly becoming a favorite. If you enjoy the genre, you will love this book. Put this one at the top of your TBR list.

a cute a quirky story of a jilted bride, Monica Blair, who tracks down her groom. AT HIS WEDDING! TO ANOTHER WOMEN! There she meets the bride's brother,Ryder Nash , who she gets to help her try to pull off a scam to get back at the groom and recover money he stole from her!

This was a cute and different book from the "norm" that is out there. I thought it was cute and funny! I loved the city girl and the cowboy!

This is the first of Heidi's books that I have read and likely will not be the last.

I love the jilted lover goes postal at the wedding and ends up married story. The Chicago gal on a ranch in Nevada is quite funny. The heat between this gal and said rancher is off the charts.

The story in between is well worth the read. It's got humor, heart, and a lot of heat but not so much heat that it detracts from the whole story. The fairytale start gets the fairytale ending.

One Wedding, Two Brides by Heidi Betts is the first book of the new contemporary romance Fairy Tale Brides series. I picked this one up because it’s no secret I’m a fan of the whole fake dating trope but I also found out rather quickly that this one was absolutely hilarious!

The book begins with Monica Blair busting into the reception of her ex-fiance Matt and his new bride. But not only has she crashed the party she’s done it after consuming a whole bottle of champagne and wearing her wedding dress, you see Matt didn’t bother to break things off with Monica before he married someone else and she found out from the announcement in the paper.

Ryder Nash is the older brother of the bride who is having her reception interrupted so he does what any caring brother would do and rushes Monica out of the event. Being a gentleman Ryder tries to take Monica where ever she needs to go but her drunken rant has now turned into a plan and Ryder is at the heart of it. Monica proposes that she need revenge and she needs Ryder’s participation.

Now one may ask why would the brother of the new wife help a stranger get revenge on his sister’s new groom? Well, because Monica promises him 50k to marry her temporarily and Ryder really needs the cash to save his ranch and it doesn’t hurt a bit that Ryder’s curiosity is skyrocketing about the man his sister married.

As I already mentioned it didn’t take long at all with this book to begin laughing and laughing some more. But shortly after the laughs came I really began to just love both of the characters in this one. Now of course I couldn’t help but want Monica to get her revenge, especially after hearing the whole sober story about Matt and Ryder was the perfect man to cross her path in her moment of need as he went above and beyond the Prince Charming persona with his every move. I would warn that the romance happens at a fast pace for those that prefer a slower build but the chemistry is off the charts between the couple from day one. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fast paced, humorous but still steamy romance!

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

I have read several books by Mrs Betts and this one is just as great as the other ones.

This book is about Monica and Ryder. Monica is a jilted bride and Ryder, is the brother of the new bride that Monica’s fiancé Matt left her for. From the beginning of this book I was in stiches. Monica and Ryder are exact opposites but yet they are prefect together. This book has it all, with quick whit, suspense, romance and sexy parts. This is one of those books that once you start you can’t put it down.

Entertaining read!
Monica crashes the wedding of her fiance to another woman. She shows up after a few too many drinks and when she starts to make a speech is removed from the wedding. All she wants is revenge and her drunken plan is to marry the guy who carried her out of the wedding. After a quick trip to vegas they tie the knot, as strangers who know nothing about each other.
When she wakes up the next morning on his ranch, she can't remember any of it. As they start to get to know each other, they start to fall for each toher, so what will happen once the fake marriage is over?

The summer weather is sweltering, the news more anxious by day. All I wanted was some sheer escapism, and this romance fit the bill.

The premise has been around for a while, and you pretty much have to accept it to get over the hump: what happens when our heroine (or our hero, or both) go to Las Vegas for whatever reason, get drunk, and wake up married to a total stranger.

Monica, our heroine, arrives in the first chapter drunk, wearing a wedding dress. She sashays into a Nevada wedding, clambers up onto the stage and proceeds to tell the puzzled, then aghast guests that this should have been her wedding, and "Matt the Rat" should have been her groom.

Ryder, brother of the bride, picks her up, carries her out, and they end up in Vegas, married, as he is desperate to find a way to save his ranch, which he intends to devote to equine therapy. A series of bad luck, like a tornado taking out his barn, has pushed him to the edge of losing it, and when Monica offers him fifty thousand dollars to invest in his ranch, he grabs the chance and even writes up a contract.

All to discover the next day (once Monica figures out who she is, who he is, and what happened) that the fifty Gs were stolen by Matt, and they have to get it back.

From there the game is on. Such a fun ride! Of course they are attracted to each other, and equally of course like chalk and cheese: he's a rancher, used to a conservative lifestyle. She's a high fashion photographer from Chicago, wilder in clothes and outlook.

How they come together, and what happens with Ryder's sister Josie, married to Matt the Rat, unravels with great pacing. My only complaint was about a single thread,(I wanted to see Matt get arrested), but everything else I thoroughly enjoyed, including Ryder's family, and the loving description of his horses.
