I enjoyed reading Costovation a lot, despite the lookup I had to do to read up more about the new companies that have been talked about in this book.
I larned so many new things like Atlassian company not having a sales team, so many examples where disruptors have upended various aspects of a business. The examples are global befitting the currrent landscape.
There are a 'Remember' tips and a framework which shows how these companies were able to 'costovate'. without hindering customer service. With costcutting, a decline in services is inevitable and hence 'costovation' is shown as a way of doing more with less..
Some examples are close home with Planet Fitness and their bare bones attitude while some are exotic like the French Picard which only sells fancy frozen food.. Just in time customization of Reebok Jerseys, Salt'n'Shake packets which let you season your snack accorsing to your taste,
par baked bread, Bouqs, Framebridge, No inventory Wayfair, James Allen
Personally, because of my interest in creative writing, I was excited about the Altshuller's TRIZ methodology or The Theory of problem Solving.

The idea of a company offering a limited number of options is brilliant in this world where overload is the word in most industries. I'd like to see more companies having a clear objective and doing their job right. I'd also like to see how the companies mentioned in the book are doing in 10 years.
