The Billionaire's Legacy has everything my little romance lover's heart desires, childhood crush on the best friend's brother, friends to lovers and secret baby. Benji capitalizes on seeing Sloane at a wedding, he convinces her to have a one night stand. That one night stand ends up with consequences that shake up Sloane and excite Benji. Benji is determined to make a family with Sloane, Sloane is determined to stay independent. Benji and Sloane's journey to their HEA is emotional, sexy and has a little family drama thrown in. The Billionaire's Legacy is a perfect example of why I love the Harlequin Desire line so much!

It was a quick and easy read but I found it very hard to connect with the characters as well as the writing. But for the most part it was nice quick easy to read that didn't take much time to get through.

One night ... to parenthood! You might recognize a few of the names in this book if you read Reese Ryan's previous Desire because they're related to the folks at King's Finest Distillery. This particular couple grabbed my attention quickly and the angst rolling off of them and in particular his family made for a really enthralling read. I loved their story! Fast paced, great characters and a well-developed story line.
When tech billionaire Benjamin Bennett had the opportunity for one night of passion with the woman he's had a crush on since he was just a boy, there was no way he was passing that up! Six months later he still hasn't been able to get her off his mind, so when he returns from his extended business trip, he goes to see her ... imagine his surprise when he finds her pregnant with his babies!
Sloane Sutton knew that having a one time fling with her best friend's little brother was not a great idea, but sometimes the best of intentions go out the window when desire takes over. Now he's mad she didn't tell him about the babies, his family thinks she's a gold digger, and she just simply wants everyone to go away and let her live her life!

Benli had a thing for Sloane when he was five years old and she was ten and all through his teens. Sloane was his big sister’s-Delia- best friend. To be honest she still affected even after not seeing her for ten years. Parker was Benji’s best friend and said it was evident that he still had a thing for Sloane. Sloane couldn’t believe the hot man had once been the sweet little brother of Delia’s that she had once known. When Delia had to leave the wedding with her two year old daughter Evie Sloane had felt alone and was going to leave. Even though she had known thee people all her life, her family and the Abbotts didn’t travel in the same circle. She had just happened to hit it off with Blake and his cousin Delia when they were in grade school. Benji’s gaze was filled with lust and he knew Sloane wanted him too. Benji had started up his own Tech company in Seattle where he still lived. Benji had sold that company for two billion dollars according to Delia. Benji asked Sloane not to leave and to at least give him one dance so Sloane did. Sloane worked for a record company in Nashville. Sloane had been married but he filed for divorce as he wanted to settle down and start a family and Sloane wasn’t ready. In three days Benji would be going to Japan for a six month consulting gig he’d agreed to when he sold his company. Sloane and Benji met at his cabin to catch up and ended up sleeping together. Sloane had been the only woman Benji had ever really wanted. When Benji got back from Japan he went straight to Sloane’s She was getting groceries out if her trunk and when Benji said her name she hit her head and passed out. Sloan was pregnant and admitted the babies were Benji’s as she was having twins. Benji said they were having twins. He made it clear he wanted to take care of Sloane and his babies. Sloane hadn’t been able to work for four months because of acute morning sickness. Benji made an agreement with Sloane, he would pay off the farm for her family and the condo but she had to live with him at the condo until the twins first birthday. Then if she wanted to leave him she could and he would have a home built for Sloane and the twins wherever she wanted to live. Sloane wouldn’t agree to a shotgun wedding so that was the best Benji could get from Sloan.
I loved this book and everything about it. I loved Benji and Sloane together and how they interacted. I loved the plot and pace. I was very disappointed in Benji’s sister Delia when Benj told his family he was r=the twins father. She turned on Sloane when Sloane had always had Sloane’s back. I was happy when both families ironed out the problems they had. I felt like I was right there with Sloane and Benji and the twins. I read this in one setting. I didn’t want to put this down. I happily found nothing to criticize in this book. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

This story is the first in the Billionaires and Babies series but it is also part of the Bourbon Brothers series, though you don’t have to have read any of the earlier stories in that series to appreciate this story which works great as a standalone IMHO.
In this story, Benjamin Bennett (Benji) had a crush on his sister’s best friend, Sloane Sutton, since he was ten years old and she was fifteen. Now he’s twenty-five, all grown up, a highly successful billionaire and back in town to attend his cousin’s wedding. Who should he spot at the reception but Sloane. Speaking to her, dancing with her, the spark is stronger than ever, their attraction volatile and irresistible as now she sees him as a man, not her friend’s younger brother. They have a steamy encounter before he jets off to Japan for six months. On his return he goes straight to see Sloane and discovers she’s six months pregnant with twins! Could this be the start of their HEA or will fate put too many obstacles in their path? You’ll have to read it to discover what happens next!
This is a lovely, heartwarming romance and the twins definitely make this different to the usual billionaire romances! Family history and attitudes are key to how Sloane and Benji react to each other and expectations. It is a great romance with brilliant characters and I really wanted to have serious words with Benji’s Mum - grr!! There are so many challenges to be faced by this couple, making it an entertaining story to escape into and one I have no hesitation in highly recommending to anyone who enjoys reading small town or billionaire romances.
I requested and was given a copy of this book, via NetGalley. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.

I really enjoyed this one from Reese Ryan. Sloane sees her best friends little brother at a wedding and he is no longer looking like the little kid she used to know. Benji has always had a crush on his sisters friend and he thinks seeing her again after so long is the perfect time to shoot his shot.
I liked these two together. Sloane was really reluctant to get with Benji because of the age difference and because he was her best friend's little brother. The pregnancy ties them together for years though. Sloane had issues and Benji had his own family issues he needed to deal with. I was really upset with his family reading this book but I like how that was resolved. I also like how these two learned to compromise and put their feelings out there. Over all this was a really sweet romance with a sweet billionaire for a hero.

This is my first book by Ms. Ryan, but it definitely won’t be my last! I’ll admit that even though I don’t usually like “oops baby” stories, I was drawn in by the gorgeous cover and the blurb featuring the friends-to-lovers trope. I’m glad I took a chance, because this was so much fun! This is a standalone, but set in the same world as her Bourbon Brothers series, and I think it works fine without having read the other series.
Sloane’s living her dream – well, sort of – and on track for getting a lucrative promotion at her music industry job in Nashville when she returns home to Magnolia Lake for a family wedding. She’s surprised to find out that her best friend’s little brother, Benji, has grown up into a handsome, kind man, and a tech billionaire, to boot. One thing leads to another, and she ends up spending the night with him, only for him to surprise her with the offer to go with him on a six month business trip to Japan. Sloane, however, is fiercely independent, and doesn’t want to be his kept woman, so she refuses. Benji can’t stop thinking about her, however, so he decides to surprise her with flowers when he returns home. Well, she has her own surprise as well, as she’s pregnant – with twins. Benji has a plan for how to make things right, but can Sloane give up her hard-won independence?
Just two old friends catching up on each other’s lives. Nothing wrong with that.
She repeated it three times in her head. But there was nothing friendly about the sensations that danced along her spine when he’d held her in his arms and pinned her with that piercing gaze.
“Okay. Maybe we can catch up over a cup of coffee or something.”
“Or something.”
Benji is a fixer. If he sees a problem, he tries to solve it, even if others think it’s impossible. Initially, he even approaches winning Sloane over to his side as if she’s a business deal – and I’m sure you can guess how that goes. Sloane is used to taking care of herself and not relying on others, so the thought of being completely dependent on him is terrifying to her. Benji’s family, including his sister, Sloane’s best friend, don’t react well to the news, and Sloane’s very much aware that she’s the reason for the rift between Benji and his mom and sister. Because of that, she worries that Benji will come to resent her as nothing but a gold digger – like his mother believes – and that it will taint his relationship with the twins. Watching them navigate Sloane’s stubbornness and Benji’s need to get things done was very entertaining. Ms. Ryan managed to make the “oops baby” and “billionaire romance” tropes, something that’s been done a hundred times before, feel fresh and interesting.
I was a bit disappointed that Benji’s steamrolling of Sloane was never fully addressed. For instance, when the babies came early, he called in a decorator to finish the nursery – without telling Sloane, who’d been adamant that she wanted to do it herself. The worst, though, was that he planned a big “welcome home” party and invited all of the family for when she first came home from the hospital. I remember how I felt both times with my kids, and frankly, I have a ridiculous amount of respect for Sloane for not turning into an incandescent ball of rage and ripping Benji a new one. I think he did get better as the book progressed, but honestly, I would’ve liked more groveling!
Overall, I very much enjoyed this book, and will definitely be picking up the others in the series!
I received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

So this was my very first time reading Reese Ryan and I was highly impressed. I’ve been on a self imposed ban from billionaire reads because after a while they all seem the same. Ryan was able to put a refreshing spin on the billionaire trope and I loved it so much! Benji and Sloane had been friends since childhood. Sloane is his older sisters best friend and I loved that spin on the story as well. Throughout the story we see their challenges as they try to navigate and reach a mutual agreement when it comes to them and their new family. This was a sweet, sexy and heartwarming read. Benji was a sweetheart, protective and a stand up guy. Sloane was, hardworking, strong and independent. Both at times can be a little stubborn for their own good. As I stated before this was my first time reading Reese Ryan and she now has a new fan in me. This was a well written story with enjoyable characters. The plot was refreshing and realistic and held my attention to the very end. I can’t wait to read Parker’s story and I feel he’s going to be a tough nut to crack.

There’s a saying that love knows no age. For Benjamin “Benji” Bennett that statement could not be any truer. Since Benji was ten years old he’s known he was in love with Sloane Sutton, his older sister Delia’s best friend. Many thought it was simply an unrequited crush, but Benji knew differently. For Benji, Sloane was a dream come true. “You always made me feel that just being me was good enough.” It’s been ten years since the two have seen each other. Now the wedding of Benji’s cousin Blake brings these two back together.
A night of catching up leads to a night of getting each other out of their systems. Much too soon, business calls Benji away and the result is six months of wishing Sloane was still in his arms. When he tracks her to Nashville, Benji receives the surprise of his life. Not only is Sloane pregnant, but she’s pregnant with twins and the babies are his. Benji wants to get married, but Sloane is opposed to the idea. She knows what it will look like to marry the younger, billionaire father of her kids. But Benji is persistent and makes Sloane a deal she can’t refuse. Unfortunately, when news of the pregnancy spreads, Sloane’s worst fears become true. Benji’s family, friends, and half of their hometown of Magnolia Lake, Tennessee thinks she got pregnant to trap a billionaire. Benji refuses to think the worse of Sloane and ultimately cuts ties with his parents and sister.
From the beginning, I loved Sloane and Benji. Sloane is a woman who’s always taken care of herself. She isn’t use to asking for help or having anyone help her. However, when someone else needs help she’s there no matter what. Benji is a self-made billionaire, from a well off family. In fact, his family means everything to him. He’s an easy-going guy with a heart of gold. I found The Billionaire’s Legacy to be a refreshing read. There wasn’t any of the typical conflicts found in romance novels. You’re able to see Benji and Sloane get to know each other as adults and fall in love, all while becoming a family.
The Billionaire’s Legacy is part of Harlequin Desire’s Billionaires and Babies series. But more importantly, it’s part of Reese Ryan’s Bourbon Brothers series world. Which means Benji, Sloane, and characters from the Bourbon Brothers series will make crossover appearances. It should be noted that The Billionaire’s Legacy is a standalone read, picking up where Savannah’s Secrets ends.

I liked this story, and I liked Benjamin’s character because of his sincerity. After he and Sloane are reunited, he remained by her side. No spoilers. Without revealing too much, Benji and Sloane agree to certain financial and living arrangements. However, just as Sloane thought, innuendos and gossip about her motives for being with Benji cause tongues to wag. Even Delia, her best friend (and Benji’s sister), has doubts about the relationship. Benji’s mother takes things a step farther and all but calls her a ‘gold digger’ resulting in a rift between Benji and his family. In spite of these issues and more, the HEA comes through with a very satisfying outcome.

I adore the settings in this book. Reese Ryan used Nashville and Gatlinburg, Tennessee... my home town and my favorite vacation destination. This was an unexpected, fabulous connection to the story for me.
I enjoyed The Billionaire's Legacy. Benji and Sloane have history, a heated chemistry that could grow into something more, and they are both good people-- I am rooting for them.
Throw a couple of babies in the equation and you have an enjoyable afternoon reading experience.

Ryan hits it out of the park with her latest addition to The Bourbon Brothers romantic adventures. Sloane, a strong and independent woman on her dream career path, must make life changing decisions after a chance encounter and one night-stand. Living the American dream after selling his startup tech business for billions, Benji unexpectedly runs into his childhood crush. Nine months later, both of their carefully laid plans are derailed and their worlds turned upside down. Will the vicious gossip of Magnolia Lake, Tennessee hinder the growing love within this new family? Follow the twists, turns, and domestic drama that conspire to spoil the future happiness of new parenthood. Fans of Harlequin Desire’s Billionaires and Babies contemporary romance will be sure to fall in love with Sloane, Benji, and Magnolia Lake.
