I likedthis book. The characters were easy to relate to and had a lot of depth to them as well. Very grown up love story with great chemistry between the characters.I would recommend this book to others as well as suggest it to my book club members. . Sherelle Green developed an intense read with strong, memorable characters that had me engaged until the very end.

Trey Moore is an award winning screenwriter who has seen a lot of success with his last works, but for some reason the inspiration to finish up his latest vision is just not there. When his younger sister asks him to babysit his baby nephew for a few weeks while she works he agrees, but it doesn't take him long to realize that he may have bitten off more than he can chew. Trying to make his deadline becomes a bit hard to do when you're trying to look after an infant, so he gets help from Kiara Woods.
Kiara Woods is the successful owner of LA Little Ones, a fancy day care with a mile long wait list of Hollywood's biggest starts vying for a spot for their kids. After seeing how much help Trey needs she decides to offer him some help and makes a spot for his nephew in her day care. She vows to keep things professional no matter how hard it is to fight the attraction between the two, and with a painful secret lingering in her past she's left wondering if the potential relationship would be worth the risk.
When I first saw this book randomly I was instantly interested in it, one because of the cover, and two because of the synopsis. I love romance books that involve the single parent trope, and although this one wasn't quite a single parent book I was still here for the whole "trying to watch his nephew" thing. Plus I loved that both characters in this book were obviously super successful, one being a famous screenwriter, and the other being the owner of a super successful day care center. I've never heard of any books with these kinds of occupations so I was more than happy to see it being done with black characters.
This was such a cute book and I was intrigued from the beginning. I couldn't wait to see how Trey would handle his situation of watching his nephew and how that would lead him to meeting Kiara. They had chemistry from the moment they laid eyes on one another and I happily just sat back and watched the cuteness unfold. As I said above, I loved the careers that our two characters had in this book because it felt pretty unique to me. You could tell how passionate Kiara was with her day care, and it was felt every time she talked about it. Trey was also very much passionate and invested in his career as well, even through some of his writing slumps.
One thing that I knocked some stars off for this one was the pacing of the relationship. I love a good gradual slow burn of a romance, and have learned more here lately how much I do, and I just felt like this one just moved a little too fast for me. There was some lead up don't get me wrong, but I felt like pretty early on feelings got pretty serious and then things just kept going from there and I would've loved some more of them just getting to know one another some more. It just kinda veered towards insta-something to me. I also feel like there needed to be a bit more depth for our two main characters, the development of them just felt right there for me, like almost there, but not quite where I would've liked. Characters are such a big part of the reading experience that I need to be good so that's just me.
Overall this was such a cute read filled with black love, and black success. It didn't hit the entire mark for me personally, but it was still such a hit because my reading experience was so positive despite a few things I mentioned. If you're looking for a quick, cute romance to read before the summer ends, then look no further. A Los Angeles Passion is sure to fill that spot for you.

This was my first time reading this author and the book was okay. It started off strong and I liked the premise but I felt the relationship was too insta love for my taste. I prefer a slower burn when it comes to my romance novels. At times I felt like the author told us about the relationship and I wanted to see it for myself as I read along. I had a hard time feeling the connecting between Trey and Kiara.I did like both characters, they were successful but humble and loved to give back which was a plus. The secondary characters were a nice addition to the story as well. Overall, it was a cute story with endearing characters but I wish I could have connected better to the romance aspect of the story.

I enjoyed Kiara and Trey's love story. Sometimes you meet a person and the connection is so intense that you don't question, you just know. Sherelle Green developed an intense read with strong, memorable characters that had me engaged until the very end.
