I like Phoebe Robinson's humour and writing. While this is well written, whether you will like this oe not depends on your humour and how open you are with other's opinion.

LOVED this book. Phoebe makes me LOL for reals! I love the variety of essays included and I love the random references and her use of the (AKA)'s. This is such a fun book and a great choice if you need a mood boost!

Phoebe Robinson is an icon in her writing. She is clever and funny all while conveying the importance of a message tht can often times be overlooked. Her cultural criticism is peppered with personal anecdotes that will make you laugh and cringe simultaneously.

How did I forget to leave a review on this one? I love Phoebe (and BritishBaekoff!) and this book was very much Phoebe in book form. Humorous, informative, no-nonsense while laughing at the nonsense of the world. Great commentary on careers, money, relationships - romantic and familial), and much more. I've recommended this book to lots of people.

Another great memoir/ humorous vignette book from Phoebe Robinson. With strong opinions and great comic timing, this book will keep you reading until well past a sensible bedtime.

A refreshingly honest and unapologetic read. I appreciated the author's point of view, so different from most modern comic essays.

I really feel like Everything's Trash, But it's Okay by Phoebe Robinson just was not for me. And I really can't tell whether the book is very good because I just couldn't get past Robinosn's writing style. I've read a few reviews that suggest listening to the audiobook is better, but when it comes to the book I found that I just couldn't stand Robinson's constant asides, derailing her commentary into a long tangent about nothing in particular and nothing of import.

Ironically, the introduction to her work should have been warning enough for me that I wasn't going to like this book because it mentioned all her strange renditions of words and phrases, basically foreshadowing for the reader the ginormous mess that they would soon find themselves rifling through. I feel like a lot of Robinson's points are lost among her commentary, missing among jokes that really weren't that funny and a dense level of conversational tone that just didn't make me feel involved in the book.

Robinson's regular trailing from the point and personal unique way of writing, with the asides and the modified words were just too much for me at the end of the day and I really couldn't get past it. While I always appreciate a commentary about important topics such as these, I was far too annoyed with the writing style the entire time I was reading to really appreciate much of it.

Loved it! This was another hilarious, thought-provoking and insightful collection of essays from Phoebe Robinson.

I've long been a fan of Phoebe Robinson, and her new book doesn't disappoint. Though a bit slow in the beginning, the book references and builds on some themes in her first book: finally meeting Bono, dating white men, being broke but making something out of it, and many others. Her humor screams out on every page, and what makes the experience that much more delightful is the fact that you can clearly hear her voice and the ridiculous mashup and abbreviated words as clear as if you were witnessing them on stage. A great book for the contemporary older-grade millenial!

I feel as though I got to know Phoebe Robinson when I read You Can't Touch My Hair..., so this was like visiting an old friend. Robinson talks about her dating life, debt and many other topics. Some of the stories and observations made me laugh out loud, and some were so thought-provoking that I am still thinking them over, several days later. Her many fans will be glad to see this, but it's written so that people who are unfamiliar with her work will soon feel at home.

Phoebe Robin has delivered pure gold (complete non-trash) in "Everything's Trash, But It's Okay". Written in a style that immediately makes a reader feel like a friend, like you're on the inside with her, we get everything from her opinions on Feminism (it Does need to do better), online dating (the purest trash) , and so many other interesting topics that she handles with thoughtful mastery in a colloquial style. So glad I got a chance to read this Dope Queen's book and add it to my holiday gift list for phenomenal friends.

I read this entire book with Robinson's voice in my head narrating her life lessons and advice with the humor she's known for. This book covers a wide range of topics, from feminism to Bono, in a highly relatable way. Robinson isn't afraid to be honest, and her infectious joy shines. Some of her essays could have benefited from a harder edit, but there are some who will love her stream of conscious-esque style. Robinson reminds us that it's going to be okay.

Phoebe Robinson is back with more of her observations about life. This time she covers feminism, toxic masculinity and other hard (and some not so hard topics with her trademark humor).
I have to admit, I suspect that I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first one because of where I am in my own life versus Ms. Robinson's writing. I think that most people will enjoy this book as much as the first.

4.5 Stars. This lives up to hype. Phoebe Robinson delivered the fun, humorous, enlightening essays that I was expecting. I think her talent as a writer has grown more solid and mature. I honestly found myself enjoying this collection of essays more than her previous book, which I enjoyed.

I have been wanting to read this for months, ever since I saw the cover uploaded to Goodreads, and am very happy to have been granted an ARC from the publisher. A part of me is disappointed that I didn’t get to listen to the author read the audiobook. While her stream of conscious jokes and witty observations are entertaining, sometimes she went into all out Virginia Woolf mode. I think Robinson’s writing flows best while being spoken aloud. I’m still going to check the audiobook out from the library.

I read this entire book with Phoebe Robinson's voice in my head. From her deep dive into her trouble with feminism (I feel you, girl) to her deep and abiding love for Bono, Phoebe is hilarious, insightful, talented and real. She's a real person with real feeling about real things. She's not afraid to be honest.

This book is much needed in this current climate.

Also, Phoebe - Let's be friends because of many reasons, but mainly because "Ugh, but lol" is the perfect epitaph for my future gravestone as well.

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the Queen Phoebe Robinson for the ARC.
